A great combination of performance and value, the GIGABYTE GV-R677D5-1GD graphics card offers a great solution for serious gamers and HD enthusiasts requiring smooth gameplay and high quality HD video playback without a hit to the wallet. It's built around 800 Stream Processors with 1GB/128-bit GDDR5 memory. Performance is only a part of the story. Ultra Durable design employs the first class components to deliver better cooling capability, enhanced overclocking capability and reduced power switching loss. Custom-designed 10cm cooler efficiently cools your card while running in low noise level, helping create more comfortable environment without annoying buzzing.

  • newegg Ultra Durable VGA Ultra Durable VGA card provides dramatic cooling effect on lowering both GPU and memory temperature by doubling the copper inner layer of PCB, resulting in 5% to 10% lower GPU temperature. Ultra Durable VGA card reduces voltage ripples in normal and transient state, thus effectively lowers noises and achieves 10% to 30% increase in overclocking capability. Ultra Durable VGA board allows more bandwidth for electron passage and reduces circuit impedance. The less circuit impedance, the more stable flow of current which can effectively improve power efficiency, lowering power switching loss by 10% to 30%.
  • newegg GIGABYTE custom-designed 10 cm cooler As opposed to the stereotype, GIGABYTE is able to maximize fan size to 10cm with the latest cooling design. With a 10cm fan, the card is virtually silent that its noise level runs much lower.
  • newegg Gold plated HDMI Gold plated, durable large contact area connectors have been used for optimum signal transfer between connections.
  • newegg AMD Eyefinity Supporting multiple independent display outputs simultaneously, AMD Eyefinity technology delivers innovative graphics display capabilities enabling massive desktop workspaces and ultra-immersive visual environments for the ultimate panoramic computing experience.
  • newegg AMD EyeSpeed Technology With AMD Accelerated Parallel Processing (APP) technology and third-generation UVD (Unified Video Decoder) dedicated video playback accelerator, enjoy beautifully rich and clear video playback when streaming from the web. Take in your favorite movies in stunning, stutter-free HD quality. Run multiple applications smoothly at maximum speed. Enjoy lightning fast game play and realistic physics effects with enhanced Video Quality features such as advanced post-processing and scaling, dynamic contrast enhancement and color correction, and independent video gamma control.
  • newegg AMD CrossFireX Multi-GPU Technology AMD CrossFireX is the ultimate multi-GPU performance gaming platform, enabling two or more discrete graphics processors to work together for boosted system performance and a breakthrough gaming experience.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Video Card for budget gaming

Pros: - Price
- Specs

Cons: This card doesn't like for memory to be OC'ed. Even if I increase by 5 MHz, it becomes unstable.

On the other hand, the core clock can be OC'ed as long as you can keep it cool. Currently running @ 820 MHz.

Other Thoughts: Would be nice if it was a 256-bit card, but at its current price, that would be asking too much.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat performance on a budget

Pros: So far so good. Had initial stability issues but has been running beautifully ever since!

Cons: No crossfire capability unless it's with an apu, but it's stated in gigabyte's description.

As stated before, I installed this on my pc running win 7 (amd fx 6100 with a msi mobo and xfx 6770, which was going in another pc). After initial stability issues (everything updated) i was playing games on it. However it would always crash running portal 2.

Recently upgraded to win 8 and the same thing. It kept crashing. However after initial issues (everything updated) it has performed well. Will run portal 2 beautifully and hasn't crashed ever since, no matter what game.

If I hadnt

Other Thoughts: Would have given it 5 eggs but the initial stability issues made withdraw one. My xfx 6770 worked like a champ right out of the box. but again if you're looking for decent performance on a budget it is a great value

2 out of 5 eggsPoor Quality Fan

Pros: Not a very large card, not very expensive.

Cons: Underclocked. The fan started buzzing about half a year in. The whole cooling solution seems to be very cheesy compared to other 6770s.

5 out of 5 eggsBudget Card

Pros: Nice graphics card for the price.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I bought this card from a local store to replace my Radon 5830 and was a little disappointing in its performance in comparison. Still a great card for the price. Returned it thought for a Nvidia gtx 560 ti instead.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't buy GIGABYTE

Pros: None

Cons: Card had issues from the start. HDMI port didn't work. DVI port worked but card would start causing graphics glitches after short use, cause reboots, and freeze up in 3d games. RMA'd to gigabyte, but they did nothing but return it to me broken. After a month now, I am sending it back again, supposedly for a replacement. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! Will not buy a thing from GIGABYTE again after this experience.

Other Thoughts: Too many other quality manufacturers out there. Don't waste a dime on this company until they learn how to treat customers.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: Great bang for the buck....specially at $69

Cons: Just a rebadged 5770.

Other Thoughts: Can do just about any game as long as you tweak it. No issues with driver, I downloaded everything from website. Did not use what came in the box.

4 out of 5 eggsUnderclocked 6770

Pros: Got it for $70 + Free Dirt 3 after mail-in-rebate. Best bang for the buck

Cons: Underclocked version of 6770, runs only at 775/1000 MHz (compared to 850/1200 MHz for other 6770 cards). This affects significantly to the performance. I was not able to max out even bad company 2 at 1600x900 with the stock speed (or maybe my expectation was too high?!). Managed to overclock it to 910/1000 MHz with ATI tool (now it max out most games), but do not expect it to be stable for day-long gaming.

Other Thoughts: Moral of the story: Do not get this card unless you get the deal at $70.

1 out of 5 eggsGarbage

Pros: It got here. And it was rebated

Cons: It began detiorating within a month. It was not DOA, but I set it up as my graphics card, never overclocked, i dont have another graphics card installed, and my screen starts glitching after 2 or 3 weeks of using it. I did not abuse this card at all, and its just about dead. What is wrong with this card -_- gimme a refund. My mouse icon is slashed and glitched, despite not customizing it or messing with icons at all.

Other Thoughts: Point me to the refund center, this thing is trash.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent Performance

Pros: Good value after rebate ($99-rebate$30=$69). Perform as expected even it has not much headroom for overclocking.

Cons: Seems the design of this model is not for overclocking because it has:
1. Very limited headroom for overclocking and Gigabyte has underclocking it by default.
2. One fan.
3. Software only crossfire. (I do not agree with some users saying that Gigabyte is misleading)

If you are hardcore gamer and overclocker, look elsewhere. This card is not for you.

Other Thoughts: I bought this card for my son playing Starcraft. When I tried pushing it to around core-900mhz/mem-1200mhz, it dies and blackouts the screen. The card seems stable as long as I do not push it too much. It is now on 830/1085 and no issue found so far.

My son has a intel i5-2500k with 8 gig ram and using a Gigabyte
