1 out of 5 eggsWorst possible GPU Choice

Pros: Very fast card when they work. Best cooling solution of any 7950 when it works. Both new cards died at about the 30 day mark. Worst failure rate of any video card I have purchased in the last 15 years.

Cons: Bought 2 of these cards to run in crossfire. One from Newegg, and one from Micro Center. The first thing I noticed was the cards sag badly due to a flimsy PCB. What happened to the Gigabyte Ultra Durable line? No extra copper in this board. More like extra thin! So if you have a standard tower, the card tends to have connection problems from the board twisting under it's own weight. The MC card went bad first. No longer recognized in Windows. Now the Newegg card goes bad at the 33 day mark, and Newegg says tough luck, contact Gigabyte. Still waiting on my RMA from Gigabyte. These cards are way more trouble than they are worth. I would suggest either the MSI 7950, or the ASUS. I build a few dozen high-end gaming systems a year, and Gigabyte just fell off my top recommend list. My apologies to all my friends that bought this card due to my previous thinking that Gigabyte makes a solid product.

Other Thoughts: Long delays in getting cards replaced makes it very important to buy the right card the first time. Go with MSI, ASUS, or even PowerColor. The Gigabyte cards are really problematic. After doing some reading, the fan failure is fairly common, and the PCB is far too weak for a video card this heavy.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks as expected

Pros: Works as expected.
Quiet.

Cons: The card itself is huge. Barely fits in my case.

Other Thoughts: I was surprised how quiet this card is even under full load. Performance is great. I definitely recommend this card.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card

Pros: This card performs well at the advertised speeds and runs cool while doing so. My card idles at around 35 deg C, and the hottest I can get it is 55 deg C under full load for a half hour. The cooler on it is fantastic.

Cons: This card is very heavy, so even when it is locked into the PCI slot, it still moves around a little bit. This will make me nervous when transporting my PC.

Also, if you turn the fan speed on the cooler up to 100%, it is fairly noisy, but there is really no need to have the fan that high since it stays cool with the fan at 33% anyway.

Other Thoughts: Runs cool, performs great, stable... What more do I want?

4 out of 5 eggsPretty good

Pros: Great Price, Great Performance. Easy to overclock with Afterburner. No complaints about the hardware itself.

Cons: I chose this card over waiting for the competitor's new line because of the 3 free games. So when I found out they don't ship physical copies (like they used to) and that I would have to install origin and uplay to access two of those 3 games. I was extremely unhappy. Would not have bought if I had known this in advance, yet it took 3 links of digging followed by reading thoroughly to find a mention of it (origin/uplay). This HAS TO be clarified in the future.

Pros: Card is amazing runs everything I threw out it flawlessly Eyefinity on 3/ 24 inch screen is amazing

Cons: Running a bit hot with stock cooler see other thoughts

Other Thoughts: this card is a new revision. its printed on a 7970 PCB so it comes with a 6 and 8 pin power and not 2 6 pin power. voltage is locked. will not fit ek rev 1 water block u gotta buy 7970 wb for this card. had to fight with Newegg for a full refund even after they said I would get full purchase price. beware the heartache this card may bring.

5 out of 5 eggsGood GPU

Pros: Really good GPU for the money. I upgraded from a NVidia GTX 560 and it blows it out of the water. It also runs really cool on load playing SW:TOR at very high settings on 1920x1080. At idle, the card idles in mid to high 20C range depending on ambient.

Cons: None that I can come up with. I heard rumors about not being able to get a good OC on it but I have not found it necessary to OC yet.

Other Thoughts: I heard rumors about not being able to get a good OC on it but I have not found it necessary to OC yet. Doing some research, this card OC'd can reach 7970 clocks and above.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Card

Pros: fast, quiet, powerful

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Be advised My card is about 1 year old, and it runs perfectly. After skimming through the reviews, there seems to be a hug difference in quality from the cards that were released last year to the newer batches of cards. Gigabyte must of done some changes to the hardware or firmware. As my card is amazing. Also if you look at the older reviews most are 4/5 or 5/5 vs the new er ones that are 1/5 or 2/5.

1 out of 5 eggsTerrible quality control

Pros: Good if it works

Cons: Lots of quality control issues.
I have about 10 of these cards, and so far, 6 of them are bad.
Already had to RMA some of them, and the replacement order also turned out bad.
It is a hit or miss. If you happen to get a good card, then all is well. If not, you can spend time trying to figure out what's wrong, only to conclude it must be the card.

1 out of 5 eggstwo times a loser, so far.

Pros: it's fairly cheap and it arrived quickly

Cons: my computer will not boot once the card is installed, i sent the first one back for replacement and today i received the replacement and it doesn't work either! i was going to ask for a refund but due to the fact that i redeemed my free game coupon i would have lose 160 bucks off my refund! so i opted for YET ANOTHER replacement. hopefully the third time is the charm and i will never buy another gigabyte card again.

Other Thoughts: neweggs customer service is pretty good but if you live in a rural area and don't have access to UPS your gonna get shafted on the return.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great card, runs cool and quiet.
Can't comment on overclocking ability as I have never tried to overclock mine.

Cons: Not con on the card but the blue PCB does not match my MSI board. Obviously this was my fault when I was card shopping.

Other Thoughts: Something you overclockers need to think about is that the newer Gigabyte cards are voltage locked.
