1 out of 5 eggsBad Card

Pros: Runs well when it works

Cons: Crashes a TON. I replaced every other part in my PC and it ended up being this graphics card that was the problem. HUGE pain. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this card

5 out of 5 eggsgreat card for the money

Pros: low price
quiet
great performance
low power consumption

Cons: new AMD r9 series cards are a better bang for the buck if you have a larger budget

Other Thoughts: I built my buddy a new gaming pc with this card and for all of the games he plays we just couldn't get low fps no matter what we did... anti aliasing, ultra graphics,v-sync.... we just couldn't bring it under 60 fps

5 out of 5 eggsNice card for video rendering

Pros: Very cost-effective card. I did not play video game much but I need a good card for video rendering. Not many reviews talked about video card for HD rendering, or mostly they recommended Nvidia cards. Now since many updated video editing software used GPU to accelerating video rendering, I planned to try upgrading GPU instead of CPU for my video editing. AMD did excellent job to make the video editing faster so I do not need to buy expensive intel i7 CPU to get the job done (I was thinking about it). I am very happy with this card, much faster than my old Geforce GTX 650. (I noticed that in the AnandTech benchmark test the less expensive AMD GPU cards did better job in video rendering than more expensive Nvidia cards when using Sony Vegas).

Cons: Slightly noisy than my GTX 650, but not as a con.

Other Thoughts: Upgrade GPU is a more cost-effect than upgrading CPU+mobo for some uses.
I have not done any OC yet. It is fast enough and stable

2 out of 5 eggsQuality?

Pros: Good value when it worked. Can play most games at or close to max settings.

Cons: First card last a little over a year and five months. Put in an RMA and am awaiting approval. However, the second card literally lasted 31 days. Just ONE day after the NewEgg RMA. Ugh! Will await response from Gigabyte before making further judgement.

2 out of 5 eggsBad Batch Maybe?

Pros: Nice card, nice specs, nice outputs. Great graphics.

Cons: Playing any graphic intensive games will shut the computer down after about an hour. I had two other units arrive DOA.

Other Thoughts: Not a bad card when working.

3 out of 5 eggsNot a reference design, poor OC (on mine at least)

Pros: √ Great performance even at stock
√ One of the lesser expensive 7850 cards and comes with a decent cooler

Cons: ▬ Non reference design doesn't play well with any BIOS version other than its own, even the updated Gigabyte BIOS that supposedly fixes some issues
▬ Very substandard OC capability compared to other models (Accelero S1 w/2x120mm fans keeping the GPU under 50 degrees at full load, max stable core clock 1025MHz no matter the voltage)
▬ When running dual screen setup, mainscreen miniDP to DVI, secondary DVI to DVI, playing videos causes secondary screen to flicker and sometimes corrupts the main screen

Other Thoughts: Notes: When I purchased it, it was without a doubt the best bang for the buck card with 2GB of RAM. I went in thinking Gigabyte designed good hardware. I like to overclock all of my hardware and by the posts all over the internet that a small voltage bump yields 1200-1300MHz with 7850's, I started around 1050 to 1100 and video corruption happens in this area and above that even with 1.225v games crash almost instantly. Bummed out but giving it a chance, I have tweaked it over months and have settled on 1025MHz as being the 24/7 stable clock which is not that much faster than stock but I'll take it.

4 out of 5 eggsVery Decent Budget Mid+ Gamer Card

Pros: I build a new computer every two years and my last card was a Nvidia 9800GTX. I use my computers for gaming, internet and photo editing. I thought the 9800GTX was an Okay card for all this until I got this Gigabyte HD 7850OC 2GB. Curently I run COD Black Ops Multiplayer and Skyrim Elder Scrolls mostly. For COD it's a perfect card, never a blip and great graphics.
I can run Skyrim on Ultra settings, but I have to ensure VSYNC is off or it causes my computer to freeze in my newest buils (AMD FX 8350 and Sabertooth 990FX Rev 2). It didn't take long (internet search) to discover the issue as a few others have had similar issues with Skyrim and VSYNC with this card.
The fans can run loud, but when I play graphics intense games I use the AMD Vision program and jack up the fan speed manually to between 80-100% anyways. The Corsair H100i I have hooked to my CPU is probably just as loud when gaming. I really do not mind. I have a full tower case and several fans to keep good airflow, I am definitely not a "It better all be absofrickinglutely- silent" snob. A computer is a machine, not a gnat. The fans are quiet when I'm not using the computer anyways and when I am using it I have music or gaming sounds that drown out any computer sounds. If I'm doing very little like writing a review, I cannot her them.
I will say that before I figured out the VSYNC issue my new gaming build froze completely, twice. The card was ran at around 40-45 degrees C, so not a heat issue.
For the price and performance, this is a pretty good card.

Cons: Seems to be either very sensitive to very small amounts of heat or from utilizing too much from the card altogether. It takes some tweaking, but you can find the sweet spot.
I will say that this card will not be overclocked well at all. Heat jumps very quick.

Other Thoughts: I like the card and will keep using it for a couple years for Gaming.

3 out of 5 eggsCrashes in BF3

Pros: This card works great. It gives me 70-100 Fps in bf3 on high.

Cons: During gameplay is there is an explosion the screen fill freeze, i hear a buzzing sound, then i get BSOD. Sometimes the screen goes black and i can look at the card and the fans are not moving.

Other Thoughts: I really wish this card worked for me because i wanted to get another for crossfire, but i see now that my crashes are caused by this card.
