The GIGABYTE GV-N670OC-2GD ships with NVIDIA GPU GeForce GTX 670. The GeForce GTX 670 combines high performance with exceptional power efficiency. GPU Boost dynamically boosts clock speed for extra performance. New anti-aliasing modes eliminate jaggies without sacrificing frame rate. And NVIDIA Surround lets you game on three monitors from a single card. Furthermore, the card is equipped with GIGABYTE’s latest "Triangle Cool" Technology and the exclusive Ultra Durable VGA board. The GV-N670OC-2GD is designed especially for gamers to achieve an unbeatable gaming performance and to meet a higher standard more easily.

  • newegg Ultra Durable VGA Gigabyte’s UDV board employs 2 oz Copper PCB, 1st tier memory, Japanese solid capacitors, ferrite core chokes and lower RDS (on) MOSFET, resulting in 5% - 10% lower GPU temperature, 10%~30% better overclocking capability and 10%~30% less power switching loss.
  • newegg "Triangle Cool" Technology Different from traditional linear heat transfer solution, GV-N670OC-2GD is equipped with GIGABYTE’s latest exclusive "Triangle Cool" Technology to reach a better cooling performance. The latest unique technology combines fin with clip module in a special triangle shape. With the original anti-turbulence structure plus the new triangle cooling design, it enhances the efficiency of heat dissipation dramatically by minimizing the flow of turbulence between fans. It’s proved that the temperature of GV-N670OC-2GD is reduced by 15% compared to stock fan by "Triangle Cool" Technology design.
  • newegg Kepler GPU Architecture NVIDIA's Kepler GPU architecture has been designed from the ground up not just for maximum performance in the latest DirectX 11 games, but optimal performance per watt. The new SMX streaming multiprocessor is twice as efficient as the prior generation and the new geometry engine draws triangles twice as fast. The result is world class performance and the highest image quality in an elegant and power efficient graphics card.
  • newegg NVIDIA GPU Boost Up until now, GPUs have operated at a fixed clock speed when playing 3D games, even if they have the potential to run faster. GPU Boost intelligently monitors graphics work load and increases the clock speed whenever possible. The result is that the GPU always performs at its peak and you get the highest framerate possible.
  • newegg NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing, at low frame rates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.
  • newegg NVIDIA Surround with Up To Four Monitors Nothing is as breathtaking as playing your favorite games across three monitors. At 5760 x 1080, the expanded field of view fully engages human peripheral vision and provides for the most immersive experience in racing and flight simulators. Add in a fourth display to keep tabs on chat, email or web while you are gaming.

5 out of 5 eggsTied as best ever!

Pros: Performance
Sound
Cooling

Cons: Uhmmm...none!!

Other Thoughts: Used this card for about a year and a half before passing it to a friend and getting something more. It wasn't necessary. I should have kept this. The performance was excellent. It's dead silent. It's solid as steel. Never gave me one ounce of trouble. I rank it up there as the best card I've ever owned along the ATI x850XT. Flawless. That's how I like my PC parts. High performance, run cool and quiet, no issues ever!

2 out of 5 eggsGood until it wasn'y

Pros: Took any game that I threw at it on highest settings. Was great and quiet.

Cons: Stopped working about a year and half after I bought it. Even bought a new motherboard (not because of the video card though) and it still wouldn't work. Wouldn't show up in either the system browser in BIOS or device manager and wasn't detected by NVIDIA driver program.

Other Thoughts: Just got it back after about 3 weeks from RMA and it STILL doesn't work. Am facing the exact same problem

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent card

Pros: Not much to say. Plug it in and forget about it. Runs newer games very well and slaughters anything old/ported from console. Still a very good card a couple years later. 3 fans provides good cooling. First card I've had in a long time that hasn't required some attention every couple months.

Cons: Big card. Make sure you have a large enough case and mobo

5 out of 5 eggsPretty good card, great customer service.

Pros: -Great card for the money. Was the best bang for the buck in in this price range when it came out. If you can get one used for a good price, jump on it.

-Nice factory overclock.

-Overclocks easily and stays extremely cool. I was able to get huge overclocks out of it (+160 GPU / +800 Mem) with a small voltage bump and it never broke 50 degrees C. The cooling system is extremely effective.

-While not a pro about the product itself, Gigabyte's customer service it outstanding. More on that in "Other Thoughts".

Cons: -Unfortunately one died and I had to RMA it.

-Yes it is heavy and long. Not a con in my book, just something to be aware of. The specs are available, don't understand why people complain when the info is readily available.

Other Thoughts: I originally had only one of these in on a Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H with an i5. Easily got a massive overclock with it, held stable and would play everything in 1080p/3D at completely playable (30+fps) frame rates. When I saw them on here at a great price, I jumped on the chance for a second to run SLI. With both in they ran everything I threw at it at least 60fps in 1080/3D. After about a week the old one died and was causing artifacting.

Now to the reason for still giving 5 eggs even after it died. Gigabyte's RMA and customer service are top notch. I cannot say anything about their email response, I just called the number that can easily be found by reading through these reviews and GB's responses. They were very professional and easy to deal with. I they immediately emailed me RMA and shipping forms. I sent it out and within 5 days had a response back. Within another week I had my replacement card. Unfortunately, the replacement card was also defective and would get stuck on the post screen. I called back again expecting at least a little bit of a pain, nope nothing but friendly, professional customer service and a sincere apology .
They sent me an RMA form, this time they also sent a pre-payed FedEx label. Again within a week I got an email saying that they were all out of 670s to replace mine with and offered to send a 770. When I called to talk to them about it being part of an SLI setup, they immediately gave me another RMA for my still working second card and sent me two 770s. They could have easily said sorry, your problem.

Sorry for the novel here. I just feel like people are more likely to only write reviews when they have a negative experience and wanted to make sure that credit is given where credit is due. Not all of their return/RMAs are a bad experience. If you have problems try giving them a call.

With the treatment I have received, they have a loyal customer here. I will happily even pay a little more knowing that it is backed with that type of customer service.

4 out of 5 eggsLove this card, but has two glitches

Pros: Card allows me to play virtually any game I want on high detail and still get >30 fps. I have played Guild Wars 2 and Borderland 2 to death on this card and have been very satisfied.

Cons: It seems to have two glitches that reoccur no matter what I do. 1) On a reboot graphics will come up with images oddly colored (littled off color edgies). A reboot or two usually solves problem.
2) Sometimes when the screen goes to sleep the card seems to forget that it is supplying video and video slips back to onboard video only. (I am using the lucid virtu mvp)

For further note: I am using all Gigabyte parts (motherboard and video card). GA-Z77X-D3H motherboard. All drivers/bios/etc... are up to date. This problem does not happen with same motherboard and Gigabyte Radeon cards. Both problems are specific to this card.

Other Thoughts: Love this card and would give it a 5 out of 5 if it didn't have persistent and nagging glitches listed.

5 out of 5 eggsStill going after 1 year

Pros: You don't have to constantly look at your temps when playing skyrim, or manually turn up the fan control on Inspector.

You can run insane shader settings on minecraft. I know most ppl do not think of MC as a "graphic intensive" game. But when you put shaders on it, it will burn up a 440 fast.

Cons: Price went down sixty bucks in just a year :*(

Other Thoughts: It is long. Even on full cases, your may find your Sata connections covered up. But it stays far enough off the motherboard that it doesn't interfere too much and can be worked around.

I've been running Gigabyte OCs every since Gtx260. I've never had to RMA one. This is actually the first one I haven't pushed to its limits on a regular basis. May never use its full power, but it's nice to have it just in case :P.

5 out of 5 eggsMore than Expected

Pros: This card impressed me when I bought it over a year ago. The price was high but after just a few hours I realized I could overclock to a massive 1,267mhz. And that's being completely stable. It's worth it!

Cons: Doesn't like a super heavily modded Skyrim, but it chugs on decently.

3 out of 5 eggsFollow-up Review

Pros: - Very fast and beastly card
- Runs quite cool even when under load
- Overclocking is easy and reliable
- Haven't had any issues with it until recently ( see cons )
- Tackles BF3 on ultra, all CODs, everything I've thrown at it, plus more.

Cons: - Processing power on Kepler isn't too great
- RMA / Warranty from Gigabyte has been a bad experience ( see other thoughts )
- Heavy, so you might experience some bending

Other Thoughts: Not surprised at all by the bending to be honest, you're getting a nice big card, so it's expected. I haven't had a good time with Gigabyte's RMA/Warranty service however. Haven't had a single problem with this card, nor the Gigabyte motherboard, and all of a sudden a small problem ensues, the card stops displaying a signal to the monitor. Everything else works ( the fans, the whole rig, but no monitor display ), so it had to be something with the card. Took out the card, and onboard graphics are fine, so I figured I've got 3 years to get this thing repaired if anything goes wrong, let's get it taken care of. I work in retail as a repair specialist, so I am aware of what MFG warranties cover and what they do not, and this was not a case of customer abuse or anything of the sort. The card just went out sadly. So I get it sent, I have to pay for the shipping ( -1 point ), and it takes them about 4-5 days to process the RMA just for it to be not accepted ( -1 point ) and have it sent back hopefully. I was not even given any information as to why it was not accepted, just a simple note on the RMA page saying "if you have questions, contact us," and given the circumstances, yeah, it's a bit of a problem so questions are everywhere. I sent an email, still heard nothing back, and I'm thinking at this point, customer service from Gigabyte is a joke. I've also read about their "tech support specialists" give the general step 1 troubleshooting "make sure it's plugged in" "have you connected everything right" "are the power cables in the right spots" etc. Overall, the card itself is great, but when something goes wrong, don't expect it to be taken care of apparently.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome card

Pros: Overclocks like a beast- GPU clock +120/ Mem clock +450. Stays cool and quiet. Have two of these in SLI (watch your back GTX 690) and temps are upper 30's idle and 50-60 gaming. Feels sturdy and well made, looks awesome. Voted all-around best by Tom's Hardware.

Cons: None- stop whining about the length... if you bother to spend 15 minutes reading before you plunk down $300+ on a GPU, you'd know that this card is long (about 11.5"). This is not a con, it's just a fact. Actually it is a pro- because it's built on the 680 pcb, which means it has better quality overall.

Other Thoughts: Some 670's- like the Zotac- come with a higher factory OC, but this card has a 6 pin + 8 pin power connector setup (most are 6 + 6), so it's easy to achieve high overclocks. This makes this card just as fast or faster than most, and unlike the Zotac, it is light and only uses two slots. It's also a lot less expensive.

If you have a case with good airflow, don't worry that these cards exhaust into the case rather than out the back- my SLI setup stays plenty cool with my Antec 902 and an added side fan for gaming. If your case is small or has poor airflow, why are you looking at a higher-end card like this? Get a proper "house" before you buy big furniture.

3 out of 5 eggsFast, but -extremely- long fans

Pros: This sucker is fast :) Though I haven't gotten the chance to test a bunch of games with it yet, I tested Sonic Generations at max settings. This video card handled it beautifully without even breaking a sweat!

Cons: The fan setup for this card is extremely long. I had a lot of trouble fitting it into my case (Raidmax ATX-298WU). In order to get it to fit, I had to remove the fans and re-align them differently on the heatsink. Even with that, it's so close to not fitting that I don't ever want to try removing the card!

It would have fit much better if the fan plastic was maybe half an inch shorter on both ends.
