Pros: been using this for 6 months now. still quiet and still extremely cool. in comparison to other 7970 Ghz edition card reviews, while running the same tests, it runs much cooler.

Cons: none so far!

Other Thoughts: the drivers are easy to use and it installed within minutes. i plan on setting up a triple monitor set up and will probably end up getting another.

Pros: Very Fast graphics, not as loud as my previous GTX295.

Pros: High core clock, able to undervolt and underclock/overclock the core clock and memory clock
Temperature stays below 75C
Fan not nearly as noisy as I expected

Cons: I read other reviews where customers ended up RMAing the product several times. I assumed they just didn't know what they were doing and were killing the card themselves.

I received my card, handled it with care, installed it into my mobo, booted up my computer. There were no problems for all of 30 seconds. After just a little bit, the card started displaying artifacts all over the screen - nice, blocky, chunks of scrambled screen.

Other Thoughts: Device driver (Catalyst) at v13.4
Case properly ventilated
No overheating occurred
Static guards used appropriately
PSU fully capable of handling the card

I've already started the RMA processes. I'll update this review when that's done.

Pros: Writing to update my original review to give the item a 5 star.

Cons: big card, make sure you have lots of room.

Other Thoughts: Originally I thought the card was DOA, turns out, that I had a faulty mother board AND a faulty old video card (6970) all at the same time.

When I put the new 7970 in, nothing happened (no POST) so naturally I thought the card was DOA. I bought another 7970 and put it in, same thing (no POST). So I got a bigger power supply and dropped it in with the same results (no POST).

So, then I got a new motherboard, moved everything on to it with the old 6970 vid card and the machine POST'd , got to windows, then the old habits crept up and the screens went black. I put in the gigabyte 7970 and now things are awesome.

I am still doing my 24 hour burn in but I am hopeful that this will be good.

Pros: The card runs cool, looks cool, runs games like a champ. I have lots of games to throw at it, from Shogun 2 Total war, to Crysis, to Skyrim, to Tera Online and even world of tanks, It plays them all. Idles at around 38 degrees, and under load never exceeds mid 50s.

Good price.

Cons: I have had graphics driver crashes with increasing frequency. I've updated, used older versions of the drivers, even fully reinstalled the OS, to clear up anything I might've goofed. No good, the graphics drivers just crash and crash and crash. Very annoying when in a ranked match and forfeit by default because my graphics drivers pooped out, and unfortunately I can detect no pattern, seems relatively random.

Other Thoughts: Going to surf forums the next few days, see if there is anything I can dig up. Hopefully I can get an answer to the cause, otherwise I may have to contact Gigabyte.

Pros: Very solid, no crashes, artifacts etc... The fans are extremely quiet compared to any reference model. Dual Bios

Cons: Locked voltage settings in bios! Cannot access voltage settings in MSI afterburner. Any change in clock settings causes instability. Runs very hot if fan side is placed near another PCI device. Very big! A full tower will most likely be needed to crossfire 3 cards. Very heavy causing sag. The card sagged down enough to badly damage my audio card with the cooling fan.

Pros: Nice box and lots of cool fans

Cons: Card was DOA, hopefully I get one that works.
