GeForce GTX 680, the fastest and most efficient GPU ever created by NVIDIA, joins GIGABYTE Ultra Durable VGA series for fantastic gaming power and extreme stability. With gigantic 2GB GDDR5 memory and 256-bit memory interface, the GIGABYTE Ultra Durable VGA series GV-N680WF3-2GD graphics card offers sufficient workspace for the GeForce GTX 680 GPU. GIGABYTE exclusive features such as UDV (Ultra Durable VGA) board, WindForce 3X with anti-turbulence-3D inclined fin and OC GURU ll make the GV-N680WF3-2GD graphics card one of a kind in stability and tuning.

  • newegg Ultra Durable VGA (UDA) Gigabyte’s UDV board employs high quality components including 2 oz Copper PCB, 1st tier memory, Japanese solid capacitors, ferrite core chokes and lower RDS (on) MOSFET, resulting in 5% - 10% lower GPU temperature, 10%~30% better overclocking capability and 10%~30% less power switching loss.
  • newegg OC GURU ll OC GURU ll offers brand-new instinctive user interface allowing you to monitor and adjust all important settings intuitively. You can set up monitoring, GPU clock, memory clock, fan, GPU voltage, memory voltage, online support and update driver, BIOS directly.
  • newegg WindForce 3X - Anti-turbulence-3D Inclined WINDFORCE 3X Anti-turbulence-3D-inclined fin design is a triple-fan solution. It is equipped with anti-turbulence-3D inclined fins, ultra quiet PWM fan and pure copper heat pipe to strengthen the speed of heat dissipation.
  • newegg KEPLER GPU ARCHITECTURE NVIDIA's Kepler GPU architecture has been designed from the ground up not just for maximum performance in the latest DirectX 11 games, but optimal performance per watt. The new SMX streaming multiprocessor is twice as efficient as the prior generation and the new geometry engine draws triangles twice as fast. The result is world class performance and the highest image quality in an elegant and power efficient graphics card.
  • newegg NVIDIA GPU BOOST Up until now, GPUs have operated at a fixed clock speed when playing 3D games, even if they have the potential to run faster. GPU Boost intelligently monitors graphics work load and increases the clock speed whenever possible. The result is that the GPU always performs at its peak and you get the highest framerate possible.
  • newegg NVIDIA ADAPTIVE VERTICAL SYNC Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing, at low frame rates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.

1 out of 5 eggshorrible

Pros: none

Cons: card drivers do not support gen 3 x16 lanes and system BSODs after few mins of intense gaming. i tried updating card bios, Mobo bios has latest ver. installed, not to mention i have asus gtx 680 running with a problem. i tried fresh install of windows, disbaling gen 3 psi-e card still BSODs. i should have done my research before i bought it.

Other Thoughts: i have 3 asus GTX680 running in 3way sli, i bought this card thinking it will run cooler: 3 fans after all. card ran cooler. . . but due to the way the heatsink design it was blowing heat down towards the board and upwords towards the side where intake 200mil fan is. CPU ran 5 degrees higher, 3 other cards were sucking the hot air in and running 10 degrees higher and thats with a case with 2 rear 140mills exhaust fans , side and front 200 mil intake fans, have CPU water loop rad at the top with 4 120mils exhaust.

returned it to Newegg, they wanted to refund me 100 dollars less for the "free" games considering i didnt use the codes and was willing to return them, long talk with a rep and they did give me a full refund. just be warned.

5 out of 5 eggsAbsolutely Great!!

Pros: This graphics card for the price is a steal the cooling is amazing and is also very quiet at the same time!

Cons: Does require a 6 and an 8 pin power connector but thats no big deal especially when you have 3 FANS !

Other Thoughts: Great product if this is in your price range and your looking for a gtx 680 I say go for it!

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Card. I love it

Pros: Been buying Video cards for 20 years. This is one of the best. See Tomshardware review and others. Update video drivers through Nvidia doing a custom install - clean installation.
I have the non OC version - A gift from my son in the US Army - Bless him!

1. It overclocks fantastically (and differently from non Kepler cards). Disregard the retail OC figures, you will get much higher. Mine runs stable at 182% boost with 451 Memory, yielding an OC of 1241. Yea, that's right! It will run higher, but once you find your limit, back it off about 25 points on both. Every card is different. ( I had 200% and 500 working, but not on everything)
Use MSI Afterburner or EVGA Presicion to overclock - better than Gigabyte's. Start low. Use Unigen Heaven to test the OC for 10 minutes at least. Then check other benchmark programs i.e. Futuremarks stuff. For a great guide on what other people are doing with 680s go to the 680 thead.

2. Brilliant design and cooling,. I had a Gigabyte 470 SOC and loved it. This 680 card is a beast. Fans are extreemly quiet. Adjust fan %s in the OC utility and set to Auto, but bump them up from default. Note: once ANY 680 card hits 70C it automatically downclocks about 13 points, so set fans to 85% or higher at 68C. Sturdy construction (the fans are supposed to be plastic, they are on all cards. The heat sinks are heavy enough).
Unlike other cards, Gigabyte has heat sinks and fans on the memory. Stays cooler, OCs more, lasts longer.
Note: All these fancy 680 cooling solutions blow a lot of heat out the top of the card (less out the small back slots). Have good case ventilation.

3. Unlike other cards, this also has an 8 pin power connector and a 6 pin. This lets more power in to begin with. You will notice you can only get a power boost of 111%. That's a good thing. The double 6 pins go higher because they can't draw the watts to begin with like this card can. Many video problems are caused by lack of power. Good move Gigabyte. BTW have a good PSU with lots of power on the 12 volt rails.

Cons: Only one. Doesn't come with a DVI to analog converter. Cheapskates. In fact, the card itself only has one connector that allows you to convert, and it is on the primary video slot. Daahhhh. I use 2 monitors, a digital and an old analog. Lots of people do this with their old monitors. The BIOS boots in to the old secondary monitor. OK, it switches properly during Windows load. since you assign monitors in Windows, but it is stupid. Either make both connectors out of the card capable of both hookups, or include your own adapter that will work from the secondary hookup. Nothing else in the box either except a power adapter dongle.

Other Thoughts: I really love what the card can do with all these cuda cores and the high texture fill rate (102 on the GTX 670, 128 on the 680 - thats a25.4 % increase). I have an old machine with a E6600 CPU OC to 3.4 GHz. and 4 gig RAM, 4 gig ready boost. This card lets me run anything on high settings. Cuda really works.! NVIDIA - Keep offloading things from CPUs and slow DDR3 memory, and let us fly with your cards.

Typically Skyrim can be easy on Video cards. However, No game is more taxing on video than a modded Skyrim, an no game looks as spectacular. The most powerful gaming rigs can be crippled by Skyrim, do your homework. You can bump textures up from the original 512 Bytes or 1K, to 2K, and some mods add 4K and 8K textures. You can adjust lighting and color out the wazooo or use an ENB with various presets for effects. On my aging system, (no ENB) I can run Skyrim on ULTRA (highest settings) and through Nvidia Control Panel, Force AA to a whopping 32XQ CSAA, and Anisotropic filtering to 16X, with Ambient Occlusion on either Quality or Performance. It looks A Ma Zing - you are there, curves are really round, and people, rocks, grass, water, sky -- everything looks so realistic. Yea, this card is expensive, but worth every penny, especially if you have an aging system.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: * Dead silent during gaming
* Rock solid stable, zero issues whatsoever
* Performance is awesome -- max out every game I have at 1920x1200 with every setting cranked to the max
* NVidia driver installation was as easy as it could be (coming from an ATI setup, this is very welcomed)

Cons: * None found aside from the price

Other Thoughts: Not really a lot of details to add since there aren't any issues. Card has been great. Hope it continues to work like a champ for me.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: Quiet
Very good Cooler.
Very Fast

Cons: No Mini Displayport

Other Thoughts: This is a great card. I picked it up to replace an SLI Setup. So far my only complaint is that it doesn't have a Mini Displayport so I had to get a conversion cable to use with my Apple Cinema Display.
