Featuring 960 CUDA cores with 1098MHz Boost Clock - 65MHz high than reference specification, the GIGABYTE GV-N660OC-2GD video card squeezes more power out of the NVIDIA's latest 28nm Kepler architecture for smoother, stuttering-free gaming at high resolution and detail setting. This game-changing video card brings full range of GTX 600 series technologies such as GPU Boost, Adaptive Vsync, PhysX and 3D Vision demanded by enthusiasts and high-end users, and also incorporates a number of GIGABYTE's advanced design and technical innovation for better user experience. Ultra Durable 2 design adopts Ferrite Core Chokes, Low RDS (on) MOSFET and Lower ESR Solid Capacitors for ultimate stability and reliability. With WINDFORCETM 2X cooling system, GV-N660OC-2GD provides ultra powerful, but ultra silent cooling even at full loading, making it a cool weapon for gamers and a must-have upgrade for today's hottest games!

  • newegg WINDFORCE 2X 100mm Fansink equipped with "Triangle Cool" Technology GIGABYTE always dedicates to providing the best thermal solution for serious gamers. GV-N660OC-2GD features WINDFORCE 2X cooling technology which includes two 100mm inclined fans and four pure copper heat pipes. With 100mm fans, the card is virtually silent that its noise level runs 31dB at full loading. Each fan has 30.5 CFM airflow to enhance heat dissipation. With king-size fans and inclined fan design, heat can dissipate quickly by the most effective airflow. GIGABYTE WINDFORCETM 2X also adapts Direct Heat Pipe Touch technology. This means that heat pipes physically contact with GPU directly. Processor’s heat will transfer to heat pipes and fins more efficiently.
  • newegg Ultra Durable 2 Using high quality components on graphics cards is the key factor for having a long lasting, stable and reliable product. GIGABYTE is again setting a new standard by using Ferrite Core Chokes, Low RDS (on) MOSFET and Lower ESR Solid Capacitors, providing the stability and reliability from their high-end graphics solution. In addition, GIGABYTE Ultra Durable 2 Edition graphics cards now feature a sophisticated layout topology. This state-of-the-art power design from GIGABYTE delivers the ideal integration of thermal, electric characteristics, digital signals, power circuitry and optimum placement of components for enhanced graphics performance.
  • newegg NVIDIA GPU Boost Up until now, GPUs have operated at a fixed clock speed when playing 3D games, even if they have the potential to run faster. GPU Boost intelligently monitors graphics work load and increases the clock speed whenever possible. The result is that the GPU always performs at its peak and you get the highest framerate possible.
  • newegg NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing, at low frame rates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.
  • newegg OC GURU ll Brand-new instinctive user interface, easier to monitor and adjust all important settings. Users can set up MONITORING, GPU CLOCK, MEMORY CLOCK, FAN, GPU VOLTAGE, Memory VOLTAGE, OSD, ONLINE SUPPORT and update driver, BIOS directly.
  • newegg Gold plated HDMI Gold plated, durable large contact area connectors have been used for optimum signal transfer between connections.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent card

Pros: *Runs everything I have thrown at it.
*Only uses one six-pin power connector.
*Major upgrade from my GTX 460.
*Looks awesome.

Cons: Might be a tad loud for some people but doesn't bother me.

Other Thoughts: Lets face it, you came to the reviews to see what games it would run and what FPS you would be getting. Here are my specs so you can use them as a comparison. All games are running on the highest settings using 1050p (1680X1050).

AMD FX-6300 (stock speed, 3.5ghz, stock heatsink),
GTX 660,
8GB crucial ballistics DDR3 ram,
1TB HDD,
Turbolink 500W power supply.

GTA:IV - 70 fps, 30-40 fps w/ Ice enhancer+ultimate textures 2.0+realizm v6.2.

Skyrim - 60 fps

Metro:Last Light - 55 fps

Planetside 2 - 45-50 fps, dips just below 40 if there is a huge battle going on.

Chivalry - 50-60 fps.

1 out of 5 eggs550W PSU won't run it

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Checked Gigabyte's website and it said a 450W power supply was the minimum so I figured my 550W would work fine. I was wrong it fried the power supply after 5 mins. Now I have to purchase a new power supply. Don't listen to Gigabyte if you want this card get a new PSU if yours is 550W or below.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic video card

Pros: * Less than 10 inches long
* Plays games at 1080p well above 40 frames per second
* Runs cool and quiet despite having huge fans and being mounted in a small itx case from Silverstone.
* Nice boxing
* Metro Last Light for free

Cons: * Nvidia Experience software is simple enough, but doesn't give me the ability to adjust the settings myself. Only wholesale optimizations as deemed fit by Nvidia.
* Only one free game (a terrible excuse for a con, I know)

Other Thoughts: Originally purchased elsewhere, I bought this card because it was well-reviewed and had very few reports of RMA or defects.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing card

Pros: Out of the box runs great. No hiccups or driver issues. I've FINALLY been able to play all my favorite new games on ultra with no problems (Far Cry 3, Bioshock Infinite, etc) - it's really great to see what the developers intended the game to look like. It's also pretty quiet for suich a large card (I went from an HD 5670 to the GTX 660 - big jump)

Cons: Not much. I guess I could complain that it's not supported by Steam's "Update Drivers" function that's currently reserved for ATI cards... I do miss that. But that has nothing to do with the quality of this video card.

Other Thoughts: A lot of games have PhysX support which is great if you have a strong Nvidia card. I know it's kind of unfair for ATI owners - I have been one of them for over 8 years. But I do definitely notice a difference in certain details with PhysX. I'm happy with my purchase... VERY HAPPY ! ;)

5 out of 5 eggsGreat video card!

Pros: - Much more powerful than my previous 465 GTX
- Quiet, runs cool (40C currently)
- Cheap! If you happen to get the rebate it's even better!

Cons: The vibration noise mentioned by a few reviewers happened to me as well.

A solution is a small piece of doubled up electrical tape placed between the cross piece under the left-most fan enclosure (closest to the video ports) and the heatsink.

At first I was worried about heat affecting the tape but it seems to be doing well after multiple check-ups. The vibration noise has stopped completely.

Not a problem at all! Still would have liked to see Gigabyte fix it.

Other Thoughts: Buy it! Very powerful card for a mid-range price.

5 out of 5 eggsCode 43 **UPDATE**

Pros: Runs everything I throw at it on high
Relatively Quiet

Cons: None anymore

Other Thoughts: This is an update from my previous review (Titled "Code 43"). Got my RMA issued card, popped it in and it has been over a week and it runs like a dream! I figured I got a lemon and I am glad I was right!

4 out of 5 eggsGood mid range for surround

Pros: I only really bought this for the surround, as I don't mind turning quality down for a better fps in my games. If all you want is a surround enabled card with some mid range quality then this is great

Cons: If you're trying to get a really good surround setup with max quality this won't do. You'll need to invest some $400 in sli and/or better cards to get a good result currently

Other Thoughts: Honestly I thought it would perform a little better but I may have had unreasonable expectations
