5 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: GIGABYTE GV-N650OC-2GI GeForce GTX 650 2GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card

Pros: * Great card, run most games at 40-60fps with moderate settings

Cons: no cons

Other Thoughts: * I need something better than integrated graphic from Intel CPU. This card runs all recent games just fine without breaking my pocket. I tried hit man absolution and it runs at 30-60fps at moderate setting. You don't want to crank antialiasing up to the max, it will kill the framerates.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card

This review is from: GIGABYTE GV-N650OC-2GI GeForce GTX 650 2GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card

Pros: Great card. Easy to install. Runs cool.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: Works great, Looks Good. Does what I need it to do. Powering two 24" monitors and mostly do light graphical work and an occasional game. If you need a good gpu and don't want to spend $200, I would definitely recommend this card.

5 out of 5 eggsAn excellent contender for low to mid rage GPUs

This review is from: GIGABYTE GV-N650OC-2GI GeForce GTX 650 2GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card

Pros: Still able to run modern demanding games at decent graphics.

Runs very cool with a nice big fan.

Lots of graphics for little money, basically.

Adequate connections for the price, but I'd rather they replace the RGB and two DVI connections with just one more HDMI.

Cons: None really.

Price hasn't gone down so don't know if it is quite as worth it now.

Only one HDMI.

Other Thoughts: bought this Xmas 2012 as a budget upgrade. I can run BF4 on good graphics lag free even in intense moments, I haven't even tried the highest because I don't really care but I imagine in really intense moments it may lag a bit.

I've only noticed it really capping out when running games with higher end graphics or mods, so at its most stressing, while having who knows what all else running on my 2nd monitor and livestreaming. Even then I didn't notice any lag anywhere but my meters told me the processor was at max capacity but the on board memory was nowhere near it.

I see it is still the same price as when I bought it a year ago so it may not be quite as worth it..even when I bought it it came with AC III. However if you are looking for a budget GPU this should at least be high on the list for consideration.

5 out of 5 eggsDefinitely worth the money!

This review is from: GIGABYTE GV-N650OC-2GI GeForce GTX 650 2GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card

Pros: I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit with an Intel Core 2 Quad CPU (2.5ghz) and a 400W PSU. This runs absolutely perfect on my 5 year-old custom-built system. Plugged it right in with the DVI cable (current monitor doesn't have HDMI inputs) and it loaded right up and updated the drivers automatically. It runs all my current games on max settings: SWToR, The Sims 3, Skyrim and TESO Beta. Extremely happy here.

Cons: None at all.

Other Thoughts: For those of you who have blue screens or it not being read by your motherboard; check your BIOS settings. Also, check if your copy of Windows is genuine. A lot of free copies of Windows 7 that are floating around on Torrent sites may not say "unregistered version of Windows" at the corner, but they definitely are.

5 out of 5 eggsDoes the job for a low price

This review is from: GIGABYTE GV-N650OC-2GI GeForce GTX 650 2GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card

Pros: Able to crank up games, albeit with low frame rates for the more intensive games. Still, can't complain for the low price!

Cons: Maybe the lack of SLI?

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

This review is from: GIGABYTE GV-N650OC-2GI GeForce GTX 650 2GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card

Pros: 2GB and 4 display inputs for this price can't be beaten.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: I'm not a very heavy gamer, so this review will surely be scoffed at by those that are. But this card runs the few games I do play masterfully.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Card

This review is from: GIGABYTE GV-N650OC-2GI GeForce GTX 650 2GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card

Pros: * Has multiple outputs (HDMI, DVI, D-Sub). One of the last of the dying D-Sub breed.
* Performs well.
* Runs cool.

Cons: * Took me a whole day to figure out how to make Screen-Tearing go away. Finally found a solution that works with any desktop environment running gnome-shell.
* No other cons really. Now that I know how to fix the Screen-Tearing glitch, I have no complaints (so no eggs were docked).

Other Thoughts: To fix the Screen-Tearing issue in any gnome-shell based desktop, add the following to "/etc/environment':
CLUSTER_PAINT=disable-clipped-redraws:disable-culling

When I found this solution, I was filled with blissful rejoice! Hopefully others will find this solution helpful.
