  • newegg WINDFORCETM 2X: Anti-turbulence Cooling The special inclined dual fan design effectively minimizes the flow of turbulence between two fans and enhances heat dissipation of hot area right underneath each fan. By unique design, WINDFORCETM 2X even enlarges air channel on the graphics card vents and creates a more effective air flow system in chassis. This special design helps heat dissipate quickly from GPU. In addition, WINDFORCETM 2X is equipped with 2 copper heat-pipes which strengthen the speed of heat dissipation.

3 out of 5 eggsAwesome while it lasted!

Pros: Ran every game I play with a 60+ FPS on the max settings. The throttling was great!

Cons: Unfortunately, a year and 5 months later it died. I heard a zap and smelled smoke. Thought it was the power supply at first, but upon further inspection it was this card. :(

5 out of 5 eggsSweet Card

Pros: What's good:

2- Quiet cooling fans (use catalyst control center to adjust fan speed to 30%)
3- 256 bit interface
4- NO mini HDMI
5- Runs cool even under a load
6-Only one 6 pin PCI-E needed
7- Quick Newegg shipping

Cons: What's not so great:

1- No DVI to VGA adapter
2- Not 2 gig RAM
3- Not free LOL

Other Thoughts: When you buy a card like this ask yourself the following questions:
1) Can my processor keep up with this card?
2) Do I have at least 4 gigs of RAM?
3) Do I have a decent power supply?
4) IF I an trying to oc this card I maybe I should of bought a HD 7870 or R9 270X or 280X instead?

I read the former most "favorable" critical reviewer and seeing his name I took it with a grain of salt. Nothing like forum hounds giving out expert "facts."

I am powering this card with a Rosewill RG630-S12 power supply w/+12v rail @ 50A . My CPU is an overclocked AMD FX-4100 along with 8 gigs of Crucial DDR3 1333 Mhz RAM. After installing latest AMD drivers the card has performed incredibly. I have no buyer's remorse. BTW "1geekyguy" sends his regards :)

1 out of 5 eggsDied after two months

Pros: Nice looking cooler, great fans

Cons: The card quit working after a few months of use. I contacted Gigabyte and waited a week for a response. When I tried calling their customer service, I was told my two month old card was out of warranty and I would be charged should I RMA the card. Upset, I wrote an email to Gigabyte customer support and received an automated response that did not help. Finally, Gigabyte accepted my card for RMA, and I shipped it to them via priority mail. Now, nearly three weeks later, I have yet to have any updates on the status of my card.

Other Thoughts: I am extremely displeased with the service I have been shown and this treatment has made me unlikely to purchase Gigabyte products in the future.

2 out of 5 eggsworked fine from march to october.....

Pros: (while it worked):
preformed all functions very well, and never really got hot, dropped my power consumption and let me play all my games with almost no hiccups. great price for good performance.

games played: batman arkham asylum, nfs most wanted, battlefield 3, borderlands 2, burnout paradise ultimate, simcity, SWTOR, full arma 2 series w/ dayz mod, diablo 3, and the game it died on was battlefield 4 :(

so clearly I've put it through the works. and all those games were played well.

further more i use both ports and run dual monitors. often times i was playing one game and streaming video on the other or recording and broadcasting. this card did it all.

Cons: well obviously it doesn't do any of the things that it did before because battlefield 4 killed it 2 days ago. there weren't many cons but there was always this one graphical error where the mouse would disappear and would be replaced with a dotted line and there would be these little squares that would pop up on one monitor or the other and that would always bother me and would go away after just a few min. but this never affected any game play. and after 7 months of good use what ever happened has killed this card. i am waiting to chat with gigabyte Customer service on Monday since it was past the rma date for newegg (which by the way has some of the best customer service) to send it back.

keeping my fingers crossed that ill be able to get this replaced.

Other Thoughts: gigabyte is a good company i have many products from them and have had many more over the years. this wont deter me from buying their products in the future but id be sure to get a guaranteed warranty as i bought this as an open box product and that may hinder my replacement of the product without coming out o f pocket.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks well

Pros: Fairly inexpensive compared to higher end cards. $150 was my budget and I got it for $10 over. Solid performer. Haven't OC'ed it but it runs everything I've tried so far at 30fps at ultra at least (tomb raider, Bioshock infinite, Saints row, SC Blacklist, skyrim heavily modded, and more). Also stays very cool @ most 60c at full gaming load.

Cons: So far none. I didn't like the OC GURU so I uninstalled that and replaced it with MSI afterburner.

1 out of 5 eggsSo bad

3 out of 5 eggsOK card

Pros: Plays any game high to ultra. Two fans keep it pretty cool.

Cons: Because of there layout, these cards are not ideal for crossfire. The fans on the top card get choked by the card underneath, skyrocketing the temperature. Also, this card only has 1 gigabyte of Video Ram where the standard on 7850's is actually two gigabytes.

Other Thoughts: Spend your money better and pay ten dollars more for a standard 7850. 900 mhz overclock is not that much of an increase anyway: the stock core clock is at 860. And with the 7850 chipset it is very easy to do an overclock it yourself, even to 1000 mhz safely.

5 out of 5 eggsA A decent card that plays everything

Pros: The card came well packed. It was easy to install. It plays everything I throw at it. While playing for hours on end the hottest it has ever been was 50c so it's safe to say that this card stays fairly cool (31c average while at desktop). The price is right too! + the free games (although see the cons)

Cons: I was able to get the game codes for Tomb Raider and Far Cry3's Blood Dragon and play them, but I'm still hitting a wall with AMD trying to get Bioshock.
The very first email they sent me had the game codes for the two games but said that "There is a temporary delay in delivery of some game keys. We will follow up soon with more information and apologize for any inconvenience."
I emailed their customer service and they said they would get back to me within 2 business days with a remedy. 5 days passed and I emailed CS again. They sent me the same cookie cutter email. I was really hoping to get this game. If this a flinching contest I warn you I am more than capable of winning! ;)

Other Thoughts: Worth every penny!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat video card recommended.

Pros: This card can easily run any game you throw at it with no issues at all. The card is open air designed so the better your case cooling the cooler the card, this makes it alot better for overclocking!

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Most games nowadays easily eat more than 1GB if vram so if you have a large resolution you may experience Microstutter in demanding games like BF3.
