5 out of 5 eggsJust Installed, Runs Great

This review is from: GIGABYTE GV-N770OC-4GD GeForce GTX 770 4GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready WindForce 3X 450W Video Card

Pros: I've only had this card for a day, so I can't speak for any long term reliability. I've upgraded from a 2Gb Radeon HD 7850, and I've already noticed a big performance increase. I jacked up Titanfall and The Witcher 2 on max settings (minus AA, don't need it) and it can hold a smooth 50-60+ frame rate. Later I intend to run it through a few other games, namely Thief witch I've noticed had drained a lot from my previous card. Battlefield 4 though can run at max, AC4 same but runs into minor frame rate issues at some areas (lowest around 40-50 FPS), and I've yet to try Crysis 2. From the games I have tested so far though, this card puts out.

I originally was going to buy the GTX 760, but seeing that adding 50 bucks could get me this one I jumped over. The 760 is a better deal for the price, but this one has a little more power to it if your budget can afford it.

Cons: My biggest concern when I opened the card from the package is the size of it. This is a big friggen card, and almost didn't fit in my desktop case. Before adding this card to your cart, make sure your case can fit it, because I almost messed up there. Thankfully I managed to get it in without forcing it.

Whenever I installed it though I was getting a few BSODs, but I believe this was caused by leftover files from the old AMD drivers. A clean uninstall from driver sweeper seems to have done the trick.

If you get this card you will be paying more than what you get in return. The 760 is cheaper and still performs very well for the price. If you can afford it though, it is a good card.

The biggest con from this review though is like I said these are initial impressions. I've yet to see how this card performs in the long run. I've had good results with it so far but the early look should be taken with a grain of salt.

5 out of 5 eggsVery powerful card, worth the money.

This review is from: GIGABYTE GV-N770OC-4GD GeForce GTX 770 4GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready WindForce 3X 450W Video Card

Pros: Been using this card for nearly a month now, and I have had no issues. The Card is very powerful, I am able to run all of these games on high/ultra with all effects enabled (Shadows, bloom, lightshafts, etc)
*WoW
*Warframe
*Titanfall
*Borderlands 2
*DayZ
*Battlefield 3 & 4

Cons: -The card is quite large, not a problem with a large case though.
-The card can get pretty hot if you do not have enough room or fans.

Other Thoughts: Very good performance, I couldn't be happier.

5 out of 5 eggsLarge quiet monster

This review is from: GIGABYTE GV-N770OC-4GD GeForce GTX 770 4GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready WindForce 3X 450W Video Card

Pros: I thought with 3 fans it would be a little on the loud side, but I can't even tell it is in the case. I got 3 years+ out of my GTX 470 so I'm sure this will last me at least that long.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: The card is HUGE. It barely fit in my Cooler Master HAF 912 case and I had to wedge it in. The tail of the card has a metal piece that covers some metallic parts at the tail of the card, without that it would have fit with about a quarter inch to spare. It is in there, but with literally no room to spare, it is right up against the drive cage. Make sure it will fit in your case.

5 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: GIGABYTE GV-N770OC-4GD GeForce GTX 770 4GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready WindForce 3X 450W Video Card

Pros: This card runs quiet and cool. It is quite large so make sure to measure your case to make sure it will fit (fits perfectly fine in my budget HAF 912). Card runs most games on max/ultra settings with zero stuttering and I have never seen it go over 70*C. Not a single issue with card since replacing a 560ti. Very impressed with the card, especially at this price point.

Cons: Large. Unnecessary tab on top of card that is a waste of space.

2 out of 5 eggsTerrible Coil Whine

This review is from: GIGABYTE GV-N770OC-4GD GeForce GTX 770 4GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready WindForce 3X 450W Video Card

Pros: Powerful card, does what I want it to with wonderful fans.

Cons: Horrendous coil whine. So bad I could occasionally hear it through my headphones. Unfortunately, I've been told not to even bother with an RMA because coil whine isn't an acceptable reason as the "ultra quiet" only applies to the fans.

4 out of 5 eggsGood card but Ive had a few problems

This review is from: GIGABYTE GV-N770OC-4GD GeForce GTX 770 4GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready WindForce 3X 450W Video Card

Pros: -Very powerful
-quiet
-good cooling

-Gigabyte 3 year warranty

When the work I get really good graphics even at 2550x1600 resolution. Watchdogs looks great and cant wait to turn on the E3/2012 ffeatures of the game.

Cons: -SLI setup does not work very well with my 30" monitor
-each card in my setup has had to be sent in for warranty repair.

Other Thoughts: I have 2 of these in an SLI setup with Asrock X-58 extreme mobo and first gen i7-920 processor with a 1050w PSU. The cards do not output a signal that my monitor can interpret until windows is fully loaded (something with hardware scaler maybe?). This is a major pain when trying to do anything with bios or at any time when the windows driver isnt loaded. Often, I have to unplug my monitor and plug it back into the video card to get a good signal. I had 2 of the 4gb version of the Zotax GTX-770 cards and they did the same thing - so I think its a 770 chipset problem, not something with Gigabyte.

Also - I have a hard time getting SLI to enable. If I enable SLI it will go through its normal process then show a little yellow triangle with an ! in it saying "changes required" or something along those lines, then it wants to revert back to having SLI disabled. Seems like it usually takes a couple of tries to get SLI working the way it should.

That being said, one of the cards crapped out in April of 2014 (purchased Sept - 2013). I did mutliple troubleshooting tests and could not determine a cause. Even the graphic information readout from cudaminer showed the card as a bunch of ASCII symbols instead of the hardware name. Take a look at this image to see what i mean - http://imgur.com/hjpZHl1

Sent the card in to Gigabyte RMA service and they repaired the card and returned it. The repair did take several weeks and I wish they would have just replaced it with a new one, but I havent had any problems since receiving the card in May of 2014.

Now the 2nd card is exhibiting the same symptoms as the first card and I currently have an RMA request in with Gigabyte for another repair. They do honor their warranty - which is nice. When the first card crapped out, I thought I was going to be eating a $400 card.

Even with all of the problems I have mentioned, I would still probably buy these cards again.

This review is from: GIGABYTE GV-N770OC-4GD GeForce GTX 770 4GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready WindForce 3X 450W Video Card

Pros: Runs anything. WatchDogs on Ultra. Uber Cool

Cons: It's big.

Other Thoughts: Pushes most of the hot air out of the top of the card.

This review is from: GIGABYTE GV-N770OC-4GD GeForce GTX 770 4GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready WindForce 3X 450W Video Card

Pros: Runs all the modern games on maximum settings with high framerate.

Cons: None at this time.

Other Thoughts: This graphics card is perfect for all modern day gaming and should last quite some time. I couldn't be happier with this purchase.

P.S. It's nice and quiet too.

5 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: GIGABYTE GV-N770OC-4GD GeForce GTX 770 4GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready WindForce 3X 450W Video Card

Pros: Very fast, keeps itself cool, at the edge (until the 800 series cards come out) of where pricing goes from reasonable to ridiculous.

Plays every game at max settings, only your CPU will hold you back.

Fans are quiet, no coil wine or noise above the other things in my case.

Cons: There are no real cons for this card. So here are some nitpicks.

This card is large, please measure you case and make sure it will fit.

This card is heavy. I ended up using a small zip tie to secure the internal end of the card to part of my case. It's about at the limit of you you can reasonably have support on your motherboard. If you lan, I'd suggest supporting the card or taking it out before transporting your rig.

Other Thoughts: Not flashy, excellent performer.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Card.. But wait

This review is from: GIGABYTE GV-N770OC-4GD GeForce GTX 770 4GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready WindForce 3X 450W Video Card

Pros: Bought the card from the local store of my area and my words! This card performs amazing! When overclocked (With it's super easy OC Guru) this card can take almost every game in ULTRA quality! But the problem is...Read the Cons!

Cons: I was supposed to get the game Watch Dogs for free which I didn't get!
P:S: I live in Bangladesh and Ive bought it from my local store but haven't received any copy of Watch Dogs! Why's that?

Other Thoughts: Well Well, This card is affordable and Boy! This works amazing! Always stays under 70 degree temperature (while strong gaming) so it has to be said Gigabyte has put some great Cooler in it.
