4 out of 5 eggsGood GPU

Pros: Great performance, was reasonably priced at the time

Cons: During intensive gaming and benchmarking it make the computer sound like an airplane engine. Nowadays there's much better options than the price I purchased it for ($300)

1 out of 5 eggsNice Card til it Died

Pros: Card ran really great, until about month 10.

Cons: About 10 months in, I started having game crash issues, rare at first, but finally got to the point that I couldn't run any game more than 2 minutes. After running thru all the normal testing (RAM, blow out the dust, updated drivers, older drivers, known good card, etc) I RMA'd the card to Gigabyte.

The card itself gets 4 eggs while it worked, the 1 egg rating is for Gigabyte's RMA Service. They've had my card for 2 weeks now and not shipped a repaired or replacement card. I had to email customer service after 10 days just to get the status changed from received, to repairing or replacement being tested, where it's sitting now.

Other Thoughts: I used to recommend Gigabyte hardware to people as I've always had good luck with their stuff, not sure I will continue to do so after this experience with their customer service.

1 out of 5 eggsGreat While it worked

Pros: Great Card when it works
I mean the hold music isn't too bad, if you count that as a pro...

Cons: Customer Service (waited for someone to answer for 5 min, then someone answered and I explained my issue to him, then I was put on hold for another 10 min. Then the next guy said he would RMA the card for me, and I had to talk to technical support, which put me on hold.
RMA Process
Dead after about 9 months of use
RMA was DOA

3 out of 5 eggsIt's been fun.

Pros: This card has handled every game that I have thrown at it over the past year maintaining at least 30fps with all settings maxed and mild/moderate AA at 2048x1152.

The fans aren't near as noisy as you might expect. At full throttle they are barely louder than my 92mm CPU fan.

Cons: My single biggest complaint is that I just noticed, ~9 months into owning this card, that the fan closest to the rear of my case is only performing at maybe 15% the power of the other three. Blowing on it with canned air while cleaning showed that it slows much quicker than the other two, leading me to believe it is a bearing related issue. At least it isn't making that lawnmower eating a weedeater noise that most bearing failures make...

Really my only other complaint is the fact that--as many others have said before me--the card sags. Like Grandma's funbags. At least these funbags can run Metro Last Light maxed out with at least 45fps...

Other Thoughts: If you can look past the sagginess, this is a great card for the money. Just make sure you read the reviews for common issues and CHECK UP ON YOUR CARD while it is still under warranty. I may be about to RMA this bad boy, since 2/3 functional fans will in no way satiate the thirst for higher frequencies that next year will doubtlessly bring.

1 out of 5 eggsCrashes Frequently

Pros: It is an OC'd 280X. Other than crashing, it behaves like a 280X.

Cons: - Sags to one side blocking PCI slots
- Crashes

Other Thoughts: I've had this card for almost a year. Since day one, this card randomly crashes pretty frequently when playing BF4, Crysis, or even CS:GO. It also sags heavily on one side which may be the cause of the malfunction. It sags so much it basically blocks my final PCI port. I shouldn't have taken the chance on this card based on other reviews. Now I have a card that can crash at any moment. I've put up with this card for a long time and tried underclocking, increasing voltage, and running fan at 100%. Nothing works so I will be RMA'ing this POC soon.

4 out of 5 eggsBe Careful w/ ASRock

Pros: Had this card for a while and it performs fantastic except on one motherboard.

Cons: Causes 5 beep code on boot when used with both m-dvi connections on ASRock z77 series boards. Tested with other boards and it's fine there are also a few threads unsolved on tomshardware about the issue. So do not buy if you own that board in particular.

Other Thoughts: great performance pushing 2 1080p benqs

1 out of 5 eggsNow a paperweight

Pros: Was running smoothly for a few months until it stopped doing anything right

Cons: Now anything that actually requires the GPU crashes and blue screens

Other Thoughts: Time to RMA this thing. I wonder if Gigabyte will even respond dilligently.

1 out of 5 eggsTerrible Service

Pros: it ran great for a while with good stability

Cons: it started off as a game crashing here or there, but went to full blown black screen and causing my whole system to crash. I tried troubleshooting it multiple times and to my dismay, I failed. The card was faulty and I had received the AMD display driver has stopped working MULTIPLE times before giving in and RMAing it.

Other Thoughts: Gigabyte has terrible service. They received my GPU on a friday (confirmed by ups when I paid for shipping) and didn't even say they had it until wednesday of the following week. I was told on the phone that I would be recieving a new card within 5 days of my card being delivered to them. It has been 3 days and now I'm being told they wont be shipping the replacement for at least 4 more days, not to mention the amount of time I'll be forced to wait for delivery unless I pay for rush shipping, after paying 20$ to ship it the first time.

I will not buy from Gigabyte again, there service is atrocious and there customer service reps are unreliable and unfriendly. Not to mention that their website design is awful and difficult to navigate for something as trivial as a phone number.

1 out of 5 eggsFaulty card and abysmal RMA

Pros: When it doesn't crash, it can pretty fast

Cons: Faulty card - would cause system to crash randomly when playing a game. Sent in for an RMA, and they sent the thing right back after a month - no comments, and the problems are STILL THERE. Functions normally otherwise.

Other Thoughts: Pretty useless video card at this level if it can't handle games. What frustrates me the most is the lack of communication on Gigabyte's end. Sending back the same card with no comments on what was wrong / tested / fixed / anything - completely UNPROFESSIONAL.

2 out of 5 eggsBurnt

Pros: Great card if you get one that works

Cons: everything else

Other Thoughts: I had this card for a few months now, It worked flawlessly untill a few days ago. I started seeing artifacting while playing games or even just cruising the net. Now I'm lucky if my rig will boot with this card in it, if it does it will run for about 5 min before going to a black screen and freezing my rig. Tried 3 other cards and they all ran fine just to make sure it was the Vcard and not something else.
