1 out of 5 eggsUpdate on RMA USA-1520814

Pros: There are none...nonexistant...zilch

Cons: I went on ahead contacted GIGABYTE via phone (newegg support team advised so) after pressing option 4. Luckily I spoke to a male rep who could understand some English. I got several "I am sorry", and nerve of them "we'll pass this feedback onto managerial level so it does not happen again...I have tracked your delivered today.." ONE month and counting trying to get just two OEM replacement cooling fans. Of course GIGABYTE sent them USPS snail mail again, just as I demanded them not to *twice*; due to fact I live in a rural area approx. **22** miles from my post office PO box....I am still waiting for a supervisor from GIGABYTE to call me back (I demanded one call me); however I am not holding my breath. The BBB has informed me GIGABYTE still has not answered their request to mediate this mess. IF A GIGABYTE REP IS SIFTING THROUGH THESE REVIEWS...***you should read next few lines very carefully. I have something I AM going to "pass on to" is called a Small Claims Court invitation. It is a request you shall be unable to ignore. :) I have gone pro-se` three times...I am 3-0 newegg you should have one half broken egg to signify a -1 egger rating (ragged/jagged top edging)

Other Thoughts: I'd like to thank newegg-support GIGABYTE VIP team for their fast response (lol I had attached copy of my newegg invoice, so they knew they were in the clear)... but to the tune of approx. 44 miles journey...over **30** days frustration....countless e-mails/my time wasted...having to annoy one of my pc services customers/family I am going to get more than "I/we are so sorry" .... I already know you are extremely "sorry" GIGABYTE. I am this upcoming week purchasing an AMD R9 280 MSI?..I will have soon. Unless the situation is resolved I am making a "special" roadtrip to my local courthouse with paperwork in hand (its typed up) along with filing Friday. I can NO longer advise anyone to buy GIGABYTE pc components...this could be YOU; instead of me !!

5 out of 5 eggsAfter a year still rocks

Pros: I purchased this card on 1 Dec 2013, and today (23 Mar 15) it still does well in many games on the highest settings (currently Cities Skylines, Space Engineers, and Guild Wars 2). I have abused and overheated this card (my fault, my cables were not tied and moved into the fans) and it is still rock solid.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: There are two large fans. Make sure you keep your cables clear.

1 out of 5 eggsGIGABYTE RMA USA 1520814

Pros: The great: Other options besides Gigabyte

Cons: Rattling cooling fans (both) have gone bad. Here has been my RMA experience with Gigabyte thus far:
1- I requested (via their website) *only* replacement fans (both) NOT to RMA card back to Gigabyte; since card works fine
2- Four business days later I got an e-mail and Gigabyte totally ignored my request for just both replacement fans and instead sent me a shipping label, so I could send the entire card to them
3- I e-mail Gigabyte's service department...*FOUR business days later I get a notice that finally the replacement fans have been sent out...USPS snail mail
4- Approximately *FOUR business days later I get those fans...WRONG this point bear in mind along way I had given Gigabyte several times the Model name and SN of the card along with attaching the purchase invoice before they sent the WRONG fans
5- Almost *Four more business days after I sent their service department yet another e-mail informing them they sent me the WRONG fans they replied requesting a picture of the back of one of the rattling fans. Instead I sent them ALL text printed on back; since I had tossed the rattlings in the trash and had to annoy one of my pc customers who has same card (purchased based upon my recommendation, which I have shared this mess with.)
6- *FOUR more business days and counting still no e-mail reply after giving Gigabyte ALL text off an OEM fan
7- Approximately ONE MONTH and counting, and still I do not have the correct replacement fans
8- The BBB has attempted to contact (means BBB deemed my complaint against them valid) Gigabyte on my behalf; however Gigabyte has ignored their attempted mediation
9- A 3 year warranty??????... Good luck!!

Other Thoughts: I *USED* to until recently always advise my pc customers to purchase one of three brands of graphics cards: Gigabyte, MSI, or XFX. I had purchased Gigabyte motherboards and graphics cards in the past, but this is first time I had a component failure...shall be my last Gigabyte purchase. Congratulations Gigabyte you have now taken that #1 slot away from Nettalk voip as the worst ever customer service I have yet to endure.

2 out of 5 eggsRattlesnake

Pros: Easy isntall, looks great and price point is awesome.

Cons: Constant rattle from one of the fans right out of the box, a week later the same fan starts and stop randomly. When its trying to spin again it makes a high pitch noise and then a bit of grinding noise. I had sent in my rebate form so RMA with Newegg was out the window, I have processed the RAM with Gigabyte directly now so its just the waiting game to see if its approved. First time build, not so good experience with this card.

Other Thoughts: The price point is great, but in the end the old saying goes "you get what you pay for".

4 out of 5 eggsNot bad

Pros: Super Cool. Overclocked using Trixx to allow unlockable voltage. to 1100 core and 1525 memory. was getting 95 fps on benchmark furry doughnut. temps at steady 42C. Fans at 60% - not louder than last card. set memory to 1400 and left core at 1075 and scores jumped to 125 fps on furry doughnut test in Kombuster. played Metro 2033 and last light. Avg 45 fps with AA on and at 2x and settings on high (not ultra) played 4 hours straight. no ctd. Highest temp was 43C. No stutter. Played Skyrim 205 mods including HD Nexus mods and SIMM. Had to cap fps at 90 in ultra (screen goes nuts if framerate is higher cheap screen but it is 35" 1080 capable" desktop size is 1366 x 768. No stutters. Fans are not loud but they are audible. Temps stayed at 38C. AA at 8x and Anti at 4X. Don't have BF$ but I did play Modern Warfare 3 on highest settings. No stutter. Pretty much played all day Saturday testing this out. Recomend you download latest drivers off website because install disk is old and I had issues with framerates using it. All fixed with newest. Reset card to stock 945 core and 1400 clock. Can still play all games on high with 30 fps and temps at under 40C. Good card, can overclock like a beast, but I prefer not to keep it overclocked. System is old and has choking point in processor. So I imagine with a higher processor and newer processor this thing flies.
i3 intel processor
6Gb kingston Ram
Corsair 680 Watt Power supply (but this card can run on 500Watts requires one 6 pin connector for one card two for SLI)
Gigabyte Motherboard with one PCI 2.0 slot.
1TB Hitachi Hard drive 7200 rpm.

Shocking right!

Cons: Only have had card for 1 month. So don't know how long it lasts. The one I got was refurbished and bought from NewEgg via ***y (i didn't know they were on ***ay) Price was great. sucked that it didn't come with at least one game it is an R9 card after all.

Other Thoughts: Great card. Hidden gem. Love newegg and their service. Hard Gigabyte was a cheap brand but so far all of my gigabye items have lasted forever. My previous 7770 card was a gigabyte too and had that for a year, still works. Keeping as backup just in case.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card for the money.

Pros: Runs everything I throw at it. Quiet. Easy install.

Cons: It's quite large and required a larger power supply then what I had. Not a product con, just my own experience with it compared to what I had been using.

Other Thoughts: The size and power needed are all clearly noted and not a con of the product. I had been running a low profile card and a lower watt power supply at the time. Seeing the size of the card was a little shocking for someone who hasn't bought a monster card like this before.

Bottom line, I love it. It does everything I need. It plays ESO at high settings, Alien Isolation maxed out, Saints Row IV maxed out, BF4 high settings, TERA: Rising maxed out.

The rest of my system is not quite to the power of this card, so I would imagine seeing ultra with great frames if you were using a better Mobo and processor setup.

2 out of 5 eggsDay 1

Pros: stays cool, was easy to install and get running without any problems

Cons: constant artifacts in and out of games, screen flickers and goes black often, fans sound like buzzing crickets

Other Thoughts: AMD software suggests I install the Omega (14.12) driver but when I look for the driver manually it only goes up to 12.4. I installed the omega driver.

2 out of 5 eggsTerrible Fans

Pros: Factory overclocked, Dual DVI, Inexpensive. Ran well in crossfire, but decided to split one into the HTPC

Cons: I have 2 of these cards and suddenly they both started to have a rattling/ticking/scraping fan noise. On one of the cards, the fan near the 6 pin connectors is starting to fail, you can hear it randomly trying to spin and then stop spinning, confirmed after opening the case. Fans are pretty noisy @ 30%. First RMA experience with a manufacturer in 14+ years of building, hoping they will take care of me like NewEgg did with RMAs in the past.
