4 out of 5 eggsGreat card, but fans died

This review is from: GIGABYTE GV-R927XOC-4GD Radeon R9 270X 4GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready Video Card

Pros: This card worked great from the start. I never owned a card with this type of caliber before. I was able to do everything I was looking forward to doing, one being playing Skyrim on my PC. My old card's frame rate lagged a bunch to a point where the system would crash, but this card solved that. Frame rate is great and does excellent under a GPU stress test.

Cons: The fans died shortly after owning the device. I started noticing a problem when my computer would just randomly shut off. This often happened after being on Skype for about a half hour. I swapped out the power supply for a 750 watt, and still the same problem. That's when I noticed the fans weren't working and the device started to overheat. I emailed Gigabyte, got an RMA, and received it back within about 3 weeks. So, I have no complaints. Yeah it broke, but the company did a great job reconciling the situation including keeping me constantly updated via email.

Other Thoughts: Its definitely worth getting but make sure you have a spare GPU on hand just in case you need to send it back in for repair.

2 out of 5 eggsOwned for 7 months

This review is from: GIGABYTE GV-R927XOC-4GD Radeon R9 270X 4GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready Video Card

Pros: Really great card while it lasted

Cons: Gets warm quickly with recent games on maximum settings

Crashes every 20 minutes or so, even when no applications are running, graphics card was only warm, so I don't believe it was due to overheating. I tried reapplying thermal paste onto the GPU and it ran well for about 40 minutes and crashed.

Other Thoughts: Its really big, so check your measurements

5 out of 5 eggsVery nice perf for 2 cards

This review is from: GIGABYTE GV-R927XOC-4GD Radeon R9 270X 4GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready Video Card

Pros: I buy it to crossfire it with my first 270x and the performence are juste crasy, I play all game ultra 1080P (eyefinity soon) (CROSSFIRE)
Bf3 I got 100 fps avg in 64 player, Bf4 105 fps avg 64 player with mantle, Dirt 3 160 fps , Hitman absolution 65fps.... I got above 17000 pt in 3dmark 11. Overall I got more fps than a GTX 780ti and TITAN (not on all game)

The temp are super low too First card nerver got up to 62 C
and the seconde 57C, I very love the windforce cooler.

Cons: Very long card (not a cons for me but you need to check if your case is big enough)

5 out of 5 eggsGigabyte R9 270X 4GB

This review is from: GIGABYTE GV-R927XOC-4GD Radeon R9 270X 4GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready Video Card

Pros: I love it. I have a corsair carbide 300r windowed so it looks amazing in the case cause it is about 3x larger then anything in the case. It runs any game I want on ultra settings even with the drivers from the cd (i just found the mantle drivers for it)

Cons: It is very large but to me its not too big of a con. I do have some random crashes with skyrim on ultra but that might just be within the game code not with the gpu

Other Thoughts: My specs:
AMD FX-8350 running at 4.4ghz
Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo cooler
Asus M5A99FX R2.0 Pro motherboard
2 x 8GB Kingston Hyper-X ram
Corsair Carbide 300R Windowed
EVGA Super Nova 750W PSU
WD Caviar Black 750GB HDD

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

This review is from: GIGABYTE GV-R927XOC-4GD Radeon R9 270X 4GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready Video Card

Pros: Easy overclock and very stable at 1150 core with no impact on temp

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Love this card, temps are the lowest I've seen from any 270X even with additional overclock.

5 out of 5 eggsBang For Your Buck

This review is from: GIGABYTE GV-R927XOC-4GD Radeon R9 270X 4GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready Video Card

Pros: Very Quiet

Cons: Large Card, Be Sure To Measure Inside Your Case To Make Sure It Will Fit

Other Thoughts: I had a $50 ATI Radeon HD 5670 Graphics Card. It would only play light games (obviously). I decided it was time to make a major upgrade. I bought this card because it seemed like a great card for the right price. I've only had it for 2 days, but it has played every game I've thrown at it on ultra settings. This is a good card for the price.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat card

This review is from: GIGABYTE GV-R927XOC-4GD Radeon R9 270X 4GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready Video Card

Pros: Great video quality can play any current game on ultra

Cons: It's big. A lot bigger than I expected but I got it to fit. Not going to knock an egg off for size

5 out of 5 eggsOne Shot one Kill

This review is from: GIGABYTE GV-R927XOC-4GD Radeon R9 270X 4GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready Video Card

Pros: I am a serious BF4 hunter (sniper) and now I get to say wait until your see the pupils change from shock, then pull trigger. I love the card and it doesn't get hot while playing at Ultra. Would be higher if I had more ram and now....not a DOA quad processor. But wow what a card.

Cons: It will not train my dog or daughters to not jump in my lap during a map play in BF4. Hard enough to survive tanks... but harder with a German Sheppard in your lap.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

This review is from: GIGABYTE GV-R927XOC-4GD Radeon R9 270X 4GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready Video Card

Pros: For the price I dont think there is a better card. 4GB is probably overkill, but why not right? Very easy to overclock and runs cool.

Cons: It is big. Keep that in mind. Not really con for me, but for some it is,
