1 out of 5 eggsI'd watch out

Pros: Works well, if you get a card that works(knock on wood)

Cons: 50/50 chance of geting a working card(One card of mine worked, one didnt)
Customer Service and RMA process is awful. I've been in contact with them for over a month trying to get my cards to work. Now that I've shipped them my card, I can't get a response via e-mail. Not only is my card apparently "fixed(That means they didn't find anything wrong with it, meanwhile my e-mails with them prior to sending them my card said my card was defective and to send it to them for fixing), I'm still waiting on some sort of update.

Other Thoughts: My advice: Stay well away from Gigabyte if you're going to buy a new product from them, you don't ever want to go through there RMA process.

On the upside, they are really expensive paper-weights when I get back this card that they apparently didn't need to "fix"

5 out of 5 eggsgreat for gaming/altmining

Pros: these things are beastly at gaming in crossfire. they are also beastly at altmining. they run super cool. i have not had a single complaint about these cards other than price.

Cons: none, if you have a large case, good cooling and enough psu power. a 850w psu will do fine.

Other Thoughts: getting 880 khash/s each for altcoin mining. they could get more if i messed with the settings more.

1 out of 5 eggsTerrible

Pros: Runs well when it works, otherwise is a paperweight.

Cons: So I tried posting this on the card page for my Gigabyte Radeon HD 7950 3GB WF3 GPU, but the company KNOWS about the inherent problems with the card and won't respond. Basically, the card has a known over voltage problem which causes an electronic whine noise at high FPS, computer crash-restarts, frequent BSODs, and in general just terrible performance. Not to mention the voltage is locked, so you can't even solve the problem yourself. Even with voltage control maxed out the problems persist. I've flashed every viable BIOS under the sun to this card and it simply refuses to work reliably. I'm never purchasing a Gigabyte product ever again.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat card if you touch it right

Pros: This card delivers for mining and gaming it has great results! will probably buy more.

Cons: black screens suck, but doesn't happen with stock settings, so can't complain.

Other Thoughts: If you're pushing this card it is very touch with it's settings. If you have something just a little off, the screen will go black and you have to reboot your machine.

Just figure out these thresholds and don't push your card past that.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat cards!

Pros: Running these in crossfire and the results are amazing. Runs fairly cool. Can max out any game w/ phenomenal fps. I run both off of a Corsair AX750 psu with only 700w draw from the wall w/ stock speeds. If you want to push them hard. You best get a 850w or greater psu.

Cons: nothing

Other Thoughts: i5 3570k 4.4ghz
16gb corsair vengeance pro 2133mhz ram
2x gigabyte r9 290's
2tb seagate sshd
creative labs sound blaster pcie card
8 fans
and a lowly corsair ax750 psu to power all

1 out of 5 eggsReally?

Pros: -

Cons: Seriously GIGABYTE? I've been looking into getting a new card and have decided to bite the bullet and upgrade to the R9 from by duel GTX460's. As I read the reviews almost every one has a reply from GIGABYTE apologizing for the difficulties. My problem is this, these guys pay good money for a new card and I'm willing to bet after RMA they get a refurbished card in return (speaking from experience here) and that's unacceptable in my book. If I pay for a new card I expect to have a new card. Regardless, Im finding it really difficult to lean towards the R9 based on the crummy performance from GIGABYTE.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: -4GB RAM with an amazing 512bit bus
-New architecture
-Silent
-Excellent temps

Cons: -Price to performance ratio doesn't feel worth it
-AMD control panel and drivers are second if not third class
-Power hungry

Other Thoughts: I upgraded to this from a GTX 660Ti and in all honesty, I was not blown away by the performance increase. Yes, it was noticeable, but not to the extent I thought a $500 card would get me.

I get around 50fps on BF4 ultra @ 1440p

2 out of 5 eggsDied after 2 months

Pros: Very fast. Runs cool compared to reference design.

Cons: I bought 2 of these. I have a feeling that neither of these cards were brand new. It looked as if the boxes have been opened before. No shrink wrap, etc.

I installed these in identical systems and it worked great for about 1 month. After that 1 system seemed to have some strange issues like not wanting to show video, but the system booted. A reset took care of it. Now 2 months and 1 day since I bought them 1 card working perfect. 1 card will not show any video or even be recognized by the system. Swapped the 2 cards and the issue followed the bad card. Even tried putting the card into another computer and same issue. Just blank with no video at all. At times even when you power on the fans spin at 100% like it doesn't even know it is in a slot.

This is the 2nd Gigabyte product I had trouble with. 1st one was a motherboard that died and now this. I can safely say I will not buy any more Gigabyte products.

Now I have to try and go through a RMA process. I really need this system up and running again. I hope I do not have to wait weeks to get a replacement card. I spent almost $600 each for these cards, you would think they would have a rapid RMA process. We will see.

3 out of 5 eggsQuality going down hill

Pros: Faster and more quiet than reference 290 cards.

Cons: As you can see from a number of reviews it is hit or miss on these cards.

I bought 2 and built identical systems. Both have been running for a little over a month. Went to turn on my computer today and it will not post. Turns out card in computer #1 is now dead. Swapped the cards between the 2 machines and computer 1 will boot up but now computer #2 will not. Def. a card failure.

This is the 2nd Gigabyte product I had that failed. 1st one was a motherboard that lasted 2 weeks. Quality has really gone down hill. Gigabyte used to make great stuff but not any more.

Unfortunately I can not return these cards for a refund or I would.

I am trying to get an RMA from Gigabyte and guess what, their web site is down.

1 out of 5 eggsConstantly Crashes

Pros: Typically runs cooler by 10 degrees than reference cards.

Cons: I bought 3 and one was faulty right out the box. Tried it on 3 different computers under different OS' reloading drivers and testing in Furmark. I sent it back as an RMA and will not be replacing it. I own 5 R9 290s (2 are the gigabyte) I use them for mining coins and these cards are the most troublesome. They crash often and their performance differs. I would not purchase these again even given their higher clock rate. One bad card is one thing but the other two are troublesome for what I use them for.

Other Thoughts: Your chances of getting a bad card are higher with these.
