5 out of 5 eggsStill a good one.

Pros: I was a bit skeptical about "upgrading" to a card which is so "dated" but it seems to hold up just fine with newer titles (insofar as a mid-range card will). I needed something to replace a perpetually under-performing ATI R9 270 which and while the two are statistically pretty similar, my experience has seen the 660 perform measurably better pretty much across the board. Not sure how much better something like a 760 would be, but I wasn't looking to spend a lot so, this one got it.

Not sure about the allegations of head and/or noise as I have not experienced either problem so far, myself. After a few hours of Dying Light, this card is still barely breaking a sweat and with the fans running quietly at around 75% and my case is far from an ideal airflow setup.

Cons: It's not a current model at this point but its a little cheaper if you want to save a couple bucks on the upgrade.

Other Thoughts: I suppose I could have spent a little more on a more current model but this one just felt "right" so I went with it. I figure I'll be swapping it out sooner than later, again, anyhow so why spend more? I will forever be perplexed as to why my R9 270 just utterly failed to deliver it's performance in 9 out of 10 applications,I suppose by now I should know to just stick with Nvidia.

5 out of 5 eggsIt Doesn't Know the Meaning of Lag

Pros: Handles all of my games
So quiet you don't know its there when you aren't gaming
Not as big as it looks online
Keeps itself cool

Cons: Loud when gaming (I usually can't hear it because my processor blocks its noise)

Other Thoughts: I mostly play PayDay2, Minecraft, CS:GO, and CS:Source. In Minecraft I am always getting +50 fps (usually it stays at 60 (I have vSync on)) at maximum settings. In the CS:Source video stress test, the average frame rate was 271 fps. In all the games I play, I keep all the settings at the maximum and play them with no lag.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat for a few months

Pros: The GTX 660 3GB graphics card from Nvidia with the Gigabyte brand on it, it's a great Graphics Card for games 2012 and earlier, with a few exceptions like Alien: Isolation, I was able to max it out and get a very smooth fps, anyway the GPU is great for someone who doesn't have a whole lot of money to spend and still get a great gaming experience.

Cons: However, the GTX 660 with the Gigabyte brand on it get's really hot when playing games 5 years old and newer, don't know if anyone else had this problem, but I would keep this in mind when buying in case it happens to you. It's a great card, it just doesn't stay as cool as it should anymore after 4-5 months of everyday use.

1 out of 5 eggsDoesn't work

Pros: None

Cons: Will not work on W8.1, Black Screen

Other Thoughts: This video card doesn't work. I've updated all drivers, even to my mobo and still a black screen instead of windows boot. I'm currently using a lower end video card with no issues. Power supply is 600w. I have a gateway dx4870 mobo, W8.1 64 bit OS, i5 2320 CPI, 8gigs RAM. My mobo is PCIe 2.0 but I've read that they are backwards compatible with 3.0 cards.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat cards, Im over the rebate process

Pros: Great card, for mid-range budget build, Bought 3 of these for a series of budget builds cards met expectations... didn't have any problems, booted on first boot and installed fine, recommend using the latest driver from Nvidia and making sure you have proper ventilation for the PC as they can get warm during use (51C)

Cons: Rebate process, find I look for products that just give me a fair price, regardless of manufacture, but alas like all pc equipment anymore jump through a million hoops for a few bucks in return in rebates, 5 stars for the cards, but Ill drop 2 for the rebates do to the Misleading rebates

Other Thoughts: Must have missed the fine print on the rebates as I purchase 3 cards, but apparently I can only pull the rebates for 1.. last 500 Ill give this manufacture for a while
Time will tell if I get at least one back.....

5 out of 5 eggsneeded up grade

Pros: My computer was still using the on board video card, been planning a up grade. The mother board is a Gigabyte 890gpa-ud3h. This just what I was looking for. Whent in with no fuss, had the power cords alredy in place, hookup installed the drivers then updated the drivers. Plays great. looks great.

Cons: Had to ajust the Blue ray settings, once I got them right played great.

Other Thoughts: Got it on the Black Friday sale, saved some bucks.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Bang for Buck

Pros: -Relatively inexpensive.
-Very quiet fans compared to my old 9800 GT
- I can play older games with settings all maxed out and newer games are quite playable.
- I do a lot of video rendering and when I allow GPU rendering I get much quicker rendering with this card than my old 9800 GT allowed.
- This card is pretty short so should fit in most cases.

Cons: The card is quite heavy. My 9800 GT had started noticeably sagging after 4 or 5 years and I expect this one will be just as bad or even worse.

Other Thoughts: There is a section of heat pipe that is quite exposed. It's probably not as delicate as it looks, but it appears to be copper and as you know copper is a very soft metal and is easily bent or dented. I am concerned that anytime I go into the case there is a chance I will damage it. The 9800 GT that it replaced was entirely encased in a plastic air-directing shroud so I was never concerned about any damage to it. Not really a con, but a consideration if you plan on an open case or often poke around inside the case.

5 out of 5 eggsAbout this card

Pros: Easy to install. Extremely powerful vs onboard graphics. Excellent cooling system. The abilities of this card have far exceeded the price. It is now possible to play true 3d gaming on the newest titles at a very affordable price.

Cons: There are none that I can think of.

Other Thoughts: The info needs to be updated slightly for this card. It is 100% working brilliantly on windows 10 developer edition x64. I have yet to find a game that I cannot play at maximum settings at full hd (1920x1080p) (including the new world of Warcraft - warlords, assassins creed unity and call of duty advanced warfare). I use this card for 3d graphics and compositing as well.

If you upgrade your NVidia drivers to the latest version, you will be using opengl 4.4 and hardware compliance for directx 12 (not yet released). Cuda is version 6.5 and the very latest phyx drivers work seamlessly.

For learning 3d and 2d graphics such as photoshop, cinema4d, arfter effects, etc, this is a stellar card. It is also stellar for gamers that want all the bells and whistles.

I highly recommend this card

5 out of 5 eggsNice graphics card with 3 Gb onboard

Pros: It worked out of the box and has a nicely designed cooling system. 3 Gb of ram, too.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I have not been able to throw any graphics intensive games at this card yet so I cannot comment on its performance.

5 out of 5 eggsOutstanding performance

Pros: Outstanding performance, relatively low price. Just installed this card a couple of days ago. Played Left4Dead 2 like never before, with all the graphics options turned up all the way. Haven't had time yet to gather hard data, but I really don't have to. The card rocks and I know it! By the way, it's quiet too.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: If you're looking for a strong performer, but don't have the budget for the cutting edge, this is a great card.
