5 out of 5 eggsAwesome bang for your buck

Pros: Quiet, runs cool. Def not compact but not too large either. Runs most games on mid-high settings as long as CPU and Ram are adequate to back it up. I have had this for a couple months now. Really enjoying it. I rarely if at all have any issues gaming with it. My rig is i5 2500k 8GB ram and this card and these 3 run most anything well. I play games like darksiders 2, Neverwinter, DC Universe online, Planetside 2 etc... Runs smooth and well 30-60 fps depending on the games and what I turn settings up to. Keep in mind before you knock 30 fps's thats what X-Box 360 was/is designed to run at and is plenty adequate. For the price ya can't really beat it.

Cons: There isn't any for the price. To be be quite honest the only con I can think of is that I didn't buy 2 for the price and crossfire them.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: WORKS GREAT, HAVE 2 OF THESE IN A CROSSFIRE SETUP AND HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS SO FAR, GOT THESE WELL OVER 6 MONTHS AGO AND PLEASE ALL THE WAY

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: THESE ARE GCN AND COME EQUIPPED WITH MANTLE ALTHOUGH IT IS NOT DOCUMENTED HERE OR ON GIGABYTE'S PRODUCT DESCRIPTION PAGE, VERIFIED MANTLE CAPABILITY THROUGH AIDA 64 EXTREME

5 out of 5 eggsI usually don't buy items with no reviews but...

Pros: 2GB of GDDR5
250X, has more stream processors that the other 250s
Fair price

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I have had good experience myself with Gigabyte mobos (despite others not so good experiences haha). I usually don't go for any main components without feedback, but I took a gamble.

First off, if you are looking for the best graphics card at a lowish price, this one should stand out. It is cheaper than the other 250Xs on Newegg. The X has better speeds than the regular 250s, but mainly has more Stream Processors.

The final push was the 2GB of memory. All of the others I was comparing too in the same price range were all 1GB GDDR5. That extra GB can really make a difference, so I went with this one.

For anyone else trying to stay under a certain budget but want all the power they can get (duh), this is an excellent choice.

One thing I did notice was the idle temps were a little high. Maybe they did a bad job on the thermal paste, not really sure. I ran some stress tests before giving it to my client and it never got alarmingly hot. Just figured I would add that little bit.

If it were mine, I probably would have reapplied my own thermal paste. But that's because I'm a bit obsessive. Like I said, it never got alarmingly hot so I wouldn't worry about it.
