1 out of 5 eggsannoying

Pros: it works

Cons: the installer defaults to install what in my opinion looks like spyware... Some kind of Google toolbar for my browser. Because of course, that's what everyone wants when they are installing a video driver, is for the install program to install potential spyware they don't want and don't need. But you can choose not to install this extra stuff.

One of the extra programs that the installer offers to install is not explained at all. The installer does not give any information about what it is offering to install. So basically, the people who make software for this company are not very good at making software.

My Windows 7 computer ran incredibly slowly using the default VGA driver, so slowly that I was not able to download the newest driver. Therefore, I had to run the driver install program off of the included CD in order to make my computer functional again. That is something they should work on. It would be nice if your computer was not crippled when running on a generic VGA driver.

Other Thoughts: Apparently Gigabyte doesn't understand how to make software that is not terrible, as you can tell from the install program for the driver. And when you visit their web site, wow, all I can say is wow... It's ironic that a company that makes graphics cards would have a web site like they have.

1 out of 5 eggsDual monitor problems

Pros: Very small card and no external power required if that is a problem for you.

Cons: Packaging had been previously opened, chewed on by a cat or something (teeth marks on anit-static packaging), interior box was torn...seriously newegg?

That aside, started the machine with the card and 2 ASUS VE247 monitors on HDMI cables. After getting the drivers installed and restarting, the windows (7) desktop would show most of my icons and no task bar, the second monitor would never recognize a signal from the card. The desktop was generally dead, meaning I had a cursor and I could right click, but programs would never launch. Pulled and reset the card and tried switching to DVI and HDMI, reversing the HDMI cables and could never get the card to play with two monitors. Even tried swapping one, then both monitors with a pair of 23" HP monitors I have. If I ran just one monitor on DVI, the card worked fine. (Note that another review comments about problems with trying to run on HDMI also). The card is old enough that the Gigabyte website is of no help, other than referring you to nvidia for current drivers.

I don't have time for this nonsense, I pulled it out after an hour of fiddling around and got an RMA to return it.

Other Thoughts: Installed in a ASUS Z87, Core i7-4770K machine.

5 out of 5 eggsImpressive

Pros: Connect Three Monitors, 24" and they all work well, no hiccups from the card. 3rd monitor is connected VIA DVI over 25' Cable, it works (Little Blurry) but Good Considering.

Cons: Connecting 2 HDMI Monitors, encountered Issues, didn't spend a lot of time trying to figure it out, could probably work with some manipulating. Has 2 HDMI Ports and DVI And Display POrt

Other Thoughts: Neededt this for a Client who wanted to Utilize Multiple Monitors, On a Dell Optiplex SFF Chassis, It was a saving grace find. Works so far.

4 out of 5 eggsSolid performance and value for the price

Pros: Nvidia Maxwell-based video card at a good price point. Works well with Hackintosh, if you install drivers from Nvidia's website (the native Apple drivers don't work with the Maxwell cards, since Apple hasn't yet shipped a machine equipped with one).

Cons: Now I wish I had gone with the GTX 750Ti model for just a little more money.

Other Thoughts: I'm not a gamer, so if you are you might want to look past my review as it probably isn't applicable.

5 out of 5 eggsBeyond Expectations

Pros: Wow, is all I can say. Going from a Mid-range AMD HD 7850 2gig to this was like night and day. This little bad-boy runs Battlefield at 85fps on Medium 35fps on high, ultra not available, but it looks unbelievable at medium settings so no need for me. Still looks better than the consoles @1080p. The 7850 would run at 50-55fps but wasnt smooth like frames were being skipped on medium. I'm back to NVIDIA with this generation. I may never go back to AMD, after this experience. Very good piece of equipment for a low profile case only consumes 55w under heavy gaming....whereas the 7850 hits 185w under the same load. Unbelievable like having a Lamborghini engine in a Prius that gets 100mpg....:O

Cons: None, completely satisfied, but I shoulda read the fine print... only 512 cuda cores when I could have just bought the 640 one, Why did Gigabyte even create a 512 vs. 640? seriously, why kinda confusing when they look exactly the same, Had I known this i woulda paid the extra 15 bucks...kind of a waste will probably upgrade to the 640 core edition when I have the $$ just for my Overhead limits...:) but I can't dock an egg for my Mis-information on the specs of the one I bought...

the one YOU want is the gv-n750Toc-2gl if you are gonna buy one of these.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat upgrade for an older system

Pros: The card takes up two slots but it is still surprisingly small. I have an older Dell mid-tower and this went right in leaving plenty of room for wires, airflow, and just working in the case. it doesn't require a separate power cord, it pulls everything it needs right from the pcie slot so there are even fewer wires to route, or come lose.
It's a huge improvement over the onboard graphics I was using. I should have upgraded a long time ago.

Cons: It's a lower power draw but it still requires at least a 400 W supply. my system only had 300 W so I had to get a bigger one. I upgraded to a Gold rated 500 W Rosewill which works great, but it was still an extra expense on a low budget upgrade.
