5 out of 5 eggsMoney well spent

Pros: Excellent construction - the backplate is needed as this is a long, heavy card.
Quiet operation - Can't hear this at all, even under as much load as I can give it, Thief maxxed out, Crysis series maxxed, etc.
Cool operation - haven't seen any spikes, haven't heard the fans spool up beyond idle yet.

Cons: Nothing yet, only have the one card, so no opinion on SLI mode.

Other Thoughts: The only thing to consider beyond the solid functionality is the length, it's a long card that may not fit in a smaller case.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Solid build construction with metal backplate.

Silent fans, even under load! Seriously, my case fans make more noise when nothing is even happening.

Cons: Huge and expensive, but that's to be expected. Make sure your case is big enough, not just for the card but so make sure random wires don't get in the way.

Other Thoughts: I'm usually not a fan of LEDs inside my case, luckily this is configurable in NVIDIA's control panel.

Considering how much you pay for these it would be nice for them to include something, like an extra DP or HDMI cable.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing card! But not sure its worth the price per performance

Pros: So far its been destroying everything I throw at it, but I have yet to get to test it at 1440p which I plan to be gaming at till 4k is cheaper and solid. My monitor will arrive soon and ill update my review if I can.

Cons: PRICE! the price is the only con, as u can get two 970's for less then a 100$s more and be ready for 4k! I wish I would've went this route after the fact as I cannot afford a second 980 atleast for awhile. On the other hand if money isn't an issue grab one or two of these bad boys!

Other Thoughts: I wish I would've waited for some benchmarks, but I immediately bought a 980 because it was the TOP TIER card, I didn't know the 970's would be so close in performance at half price.

5 out of 5 eggs980gtx

Pros: Amazing quality components, availability!!! Fans work well, no noise!
Love the back plate.

Cons: Price, but you have to pay too play!

Other Thoughts: Great card so far, no issues with drivers even though they are young!
SLI seems not to great right now, but I'm sure it will be resolved.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Graphics Card

Pros: FPS in games and benchmarks are almost double my old GTX 680. Driver updates over time from Nvidia will only increase performance in games with this card.

Cons: a little expensive over reference GTX 980 cards

Other Thoughts: I almost regretted buying this card because of the high price until I plugged it in and was very impressed. Can't wait to try BOINC on this great card.

5 out of 5 eggsTrue gaming cards.

Pros: Quiet, very quiet. Very fast cards. Very cool temps even at 1500 Mhz. Very nice blue LED.

Cons: None yet

Other Thoughts: These are the best cards I've ever owned. Ive never owned anything other than reference cards but got sick of the blower noise and high temps. These cards have not gotten hotter than 60 degrees AT 1500 Mhz OC!!

5 out of 5 eggsI underestimated this monster...

Pros: -Haven't seen temp go above 70 degrees in Furmark
-Extremely quiet
-Blue Windforce logo matches my case(NZXT Source 210)
-Very high quality design

Cons: I didn't think that Newegg would put a con section on this lol

But seriously, I haven't found a con

Other Thoughts: Here's how it went with my graphics cards upgrades

a 7870
added another 7870
780
and now this

Most people wouldn't think that a 980 from a 780 is worth it but for me, it is.

The only think it can't do is max metro LL with 4xssaa (i like 60 fps and above) but no single GPU can do that.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card but $$

Pros: Replacing: SLI Gigabyte GTX660oc.

GENERAL Performance comparison:
**This review is simplistic, it wont go over benchmarks instead it will be more of a "real world" comparison.
I have had this card for about 36hrs now and its delivering top notch performance, right now im using my old gtx 660 for physx as well. While its not its not leaps for bounds better than my SLI GTX 660's it does deliver better performance over all with less hiccups through out and obviously it preforms much better in games that don't support SLI well.
Games like Arkham City and Origins tend to run around the 85-100FPS range maxed out.
Watch dogs on ultra runs at 33fps-60fps.

Noise:
The card is a noticeably less noisy (better looking too) than my old 660's to the degree where having a conversation right next to the PC tower is not interrupted my noise.

Cons: Very long card, I have a mid ATX tower and the card took some finesse to make it fit without any cables touching the card as it was just above my SATA cables on my mobo.

I hate to say price as a con as I did know what I was paying when I clicked buy, however it is the only other thing that has bothered me about this card.

5 out of 5 eggsSpeed for a premium

Pros: Fast, runs cool, fan is super quiet (can barely hear it). Managed to get it running at 1550 Mhz Boost block, ran pretty stable in the benchmarks (unigine heaven,valley,3DMark)

Cons: Seems a tad bit over-priced, especially over the GTX 970 but if you want top speed then this is for you

Other Thoughts: Combined with:

5930K 3.5 Ghz
Gigabyte X99 UD4
16 GB 2666 Mhz Corsair DDR4 Memory

5 out of 5 eggssmoking fast

Pros: both cards overclock to 1600 core and 8000 memory with no voltage bump. fans at 65% give me about 57c full load.

Cons: this card is long, roughly 1.5 inches longer then a reference gtx 780
