5 out of 5 eggsGreat Performance, quiet, OC monster

Pros: Card is very solid. Out of the box benchmarks well with quiet fan. OC benchmarks are amazing with 10-15% performance boost after moderate MSI Afterburner overclock vs. the standard GPU boost speed. Runs cool and quiet even with OC.

Cons: none with the performance. Only a single DVI connection with 3 displayports is less standard than the more common 2x DVI.

Other Thoughts: Drivers are newer and nVidia has still not incorporated all the potential features of the card (VR-SLI) etc.

On 2 year old mobo, a driver BIOS update was required to support PCI-E v3 as it would not display video on older bios.

5 out of 5 eggsCurrent Fastest Single GPU Card

Pros: Power efficient, highly overclockable, and very fast. I picked up two of these two days after release to power my new 4K monitor and they are doing a beautiful job. I run all games on highest settings with most running at a constant 60fps.

Cons: None that I can really think of!

Other Thoughts: While the fans aren't too loud they are quite audible when the cards are under a full load. However, this really isn't a con as this will be the same for all reference 980's, I guess I am just used to usually having non reference cards without the blower design. I am running two of these cards on an 850w psu with an overclocked 3770k.

5 out of 5 eggsnvidia wins again :)

Pros: Very fast. It's also cool and quiet most of the time. 3 display ports, 1 hdmi, and 1 dvi. It has all the connectivity I could want. It's also a lower price than I would have paid for the 750ti, so I'm glad I waited 2 months for this to be released.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I'm running this on a PCI Express 2.0 x16 slot, and it's still fast. I get 60fps on Batman:Arkham Asylum (max everything except AA which is x4), even in heavy action scenes. About 55 fps on Space Engineers on max graphics, but that game isn't well optimized yet anyway. I tend to be pretty busy with work, so I haven't had time to play much else. I upgraded from a GTX 260. This runs a lot cooler than the HD Radeon I was borrowing from a coworker.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome, awesome card

Pros: - Amazing performance
- Easy install on motherboard
- Easy installation of drivers
- Quiet
- Low power consumption

Cons: - Large-ish form factor (had a bit trouble fitting it in my case, but i managed)
- A bit expensive for the performance. The 980 is about $200 more expensive than the 970, with only about a 10% performance increase.

Other Thoughts: Highly, highly recommend this card. I'll be purchasing a 2nd one for SLI as soon as it becomes available.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Graphics Card

Pros: Very powerful single card. I upgraded from SLI 680's and this card matches and outperforms.

Cons: None so far. Just a little pricey

Other Thoughts: This is a great single GPU solution.

5 out of 5 eggsGigabyte GTX 980

Pros: Amazing card, so far have run Metro Last Light, Shadow of Mordor, Arkham origins, Dolphin Emulator and many others without a hitch in 2560 x 1440 resolution. Quiet and low temps overall (sitting around 70c-75c during gaming.

Was planning a build around a GTX 780 ti....glad I waited.

Cons: Price? But it's to be expected on a flagship card.

Availability- Nvidia should know by now, to provide sufficient stock for the demand. Card was sold out immediately everywhere, and second hand sellers are trying to bamboozle who are desperate with outrageous prices ($900 and up)

Other Thoughts: Currently running this on a Qnix QX2710, which doesn't have g-sync capabilities, so cannot comment on that feature. Will update as more time goes by. Plan to purchase a "branded" monitor next time (such as Asus, Samsung or Dell), for dual-monitor setup and maybe another GTX 980...if they ever get back in stock.

5 out of 5 eggsDeceptively brilliant

Pros: quiet, powerful, stable, energy efficient, and great potential.

Cons: Price tag is a little high

Other Thoughts: Long story short, if you can afford it, buy it and you won't be sorry.

This card is not like your usual clocked up and go cards. It automatically appears to clock itself up and down based on need. In game while doing nothing I clocked 60-120 fps. While in a graphics intensive situation i clocked 60-120 fps. Now this may seem odd, but it actually makes a lot of sense. Why have the card spooled up to max speed all the time? It just creates excess heat for no reason. I'm glad they finally realized this and made these things more efficient. I will try to OC when the liquid system goes in and make additional notes at that point.

5 out of 5 eggsLove it

Pros: This card laughs at 1080p, it runs the new Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor game on Ultra settins and doesn't even use 50% CPU load, temp only hits 70 degrees after hours of play with fan steady at 40%.

I upgraded to this card from 3gb gtx 580's SLi, so the performance increases are certainly noticeable. Not much else to say, it's fast, quiet, stays cool and runs everything I throw at it.

Cons: No real cons, not that I was expecting any.

Other Thoughts: If you're using this card on a 1080p monitor it's going to perform amazing as these cards are the base level for moving up to 4k monitors which I plan to do soon.

This is also the first time I've ever had a gigabyte card, I usually go EVGA but they were sold out and I didn't want to wait. Had to go with a reference card instead of superclocked but OC'ing is easy enough.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Card Ever OBV

Pros: This is the best card on the market. Excellent build quality, very quiet very fast.

Cons: Literally none. Costs what i expect a flagship GPU to cost and delivers in every way. Best graphics card purchase i've ever made

Other Thoughts: This card replaced my 2 Radeon 7970s. It is about the same speed wise, but nVidia cards are tangibly experientially better at providing a smooth gaming experience. Noticeably better drivers than AMD.
Pretty much the best graphics card i've ever owned.

5 out of 5 eggsNice upgrade from GTX 670

Pros: Fast, overclocks ridiclously well (I'm sitting at 1542 core/1975 mem) and runs 1440p much better (about 2x in most games) than my previous 2gb GTX 670

Cons: Not full maxwell, stock cooler can get pretty loud at 70%+ fan speed but will be going under water soon anyhow.
