5 out of 5 eggsMy treasure #1

Pros: I know that most people talk about FPS when it comes down to GPU. I don't have FRAP to measure FPS but all i can tell you is that I am very happy with what I have now.

Cons: None!

Other Thoughts: Low power requirement, super powerful card, almost no noise, low temperature, and runs games very smoothly. What else can I say?
I am currently running bioshock infinite and The Evil Within with this card. I am very confident that I can run Assassin's creed:Unity, MGS5, GTA5. I am sure i will be able to use this card until 2018 without feel need of upgrade. Two THumbs UP!

4 out of 5 eggsEverything I hoped for at a great price

Pros: *Silent
*Runs very cool
*Power Efficient from last generation
*better price/performance ratio than its GTX 980 big bother

Cons: * The card is very long at 12.2 inches
* No Back Plate

Other Thoughts: I have been waiting for a card to replace my GTX 670 for the longest now. I decided to skip the 700 series seeing as the GTX 780 was way too expensive for the margin of performance was not enough to justify an upgrade. The GTX 970 fulfills my demands and then some. Now only does it match my expectations both price and performance, but it unexpectedly very power efficient. NVidia has a winner in my book and this card is worthy of any upgrade for the price/performance it offers. I traded my EVGA SC edition of this card for this Gigabyte version because it was coiling under load. I have not been at at disappointed at all.

My only glaring con would be that the card unusually large clocking in at 12.2 inches. This ruins my plans on a HTPC build but this error is on my part not Gigabyte.

5 out of 5 eggsGet one if you can!

Pros: Really quiet.
Stays cool.

Cons: Must down load driver.

Other Thoughts: 1 of four on my wish list, this was the first to available. The G1 was my 1st choice, but missed the opportunity since they were only available for 2 hours (no notification). I haven't really started to really OC yet, Don't really need too.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat price/performance ratio

Pros: Quiet and very fast card. If you are wondering whether this card is a noticeable upgrade from two 2GB 6950's in crossfire, I can confirm it is a huge upgrade.
I'm running higher settings, at better framerates, using less energy, and not having to mess with crossfire.
I was concerned about coil whine but either I don't have any or it's too quiet to notice.

Cons: It was 350$

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: price. Very powerful, nice cooler, save money and get this one vs the factory overclocked one. I can max out Assassins Creed Black Flag on three monitors surround with this single GPU card. I am speechless. The three fans are quiet and do an excellent job cooling.

Cons: Does not come with the backplate like the other gigabyte versions, but that adds a lot of weight to this massive card anyways. Also this card is very long watch out for your case dimensions. But I would say save yourself money and buy this one over the overclocked version

2 out of 5 eggsNot compatible with my motherboard?

Pros: Good graphic card for the chip set

Cons: My MSI B85-G41 PC Mate LGA 1150 Intel B85 is not recognizing the card at all. The on board graphic card is disabled, i have tried updating the bios but no avail. Has anyone else experienced this?

1 out of 5 eggscomputer dies

Pros: Awesome value for the price. Plays AAA games with highest settings on a WQXGA monitor.

Cons: My computer dies (it reboots) randomly while playing (every 30 mins on average). It is not an issue with the computer other component's temperature, or the power supply (using a good qulity 850W high efficiency modular PSU). Checked all cables, all fans. Reinstalled latest drivers (note: nVidia's GeForce Experience fails to recognize the card to allow game optimization). My computer works fine with my old card that requires 100 extra watts. I will have to RMA the card if I can't figure the problem by the end of the week.

5 out of 5 eggsAMD 8350 CPU

Pros: • Thin shroud: sturdy enough and it doesn’t add too much weight
• Low Fan sound: my case fans are louder during gameplay
• No Blue LED on Logo: This would have ruined my theme of black and red.
• Power Connector are in a good place
• NVidia Software: strong software support from NVidia on game optimization, shield, recording, and etc.
* Amazing FPS in Games like Crysis 3, Borderlands 2 with PhysX On, and other great Triple A games.
* There is a similar model out there that has a backplate and more copper heat pipes for better cooling. I originally thought the cooling on this card would have been terrible. But I was wrong, it is great.

Cons: • No bios for temperature control
• No back plate: not a big con, as it would have added a crazy amount of weight to the card
• Long card: barely fits in my cooler master storm trooper

Other Thoughts: I can’t believe people post review without posting benchmarks, I mean, how useless can a review get!? It was hard finding good games with build in benchmarks, but I got a few. All benchmarks were run with settings at very high/ Ultra. I even turned things on that I would not use, like lens flare (our eyes don’t see lens flare) just to stress test the card. No fps measuring software was used.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat performance

Pros: *Destroys all games at high settings
*nice OC and very powerful card compared to others on the market
*runs very cool and quiet, and I mean very.

Cons: *big card
*plastic fan shroud seems weak
* no back plate

Other Thoughts: I am happy I got one of these, it's a huge improvement over my last card (560ti).

Only complaint is the design is very open, makes me worried about handling it.

5 out of 5 eggsDon't own item. Just making comparison.

Pros: $20 cheaper than the other Gigabyte GTX 970 version.

More expensive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125684

Cons: This is the cheaper version. The more expensive item has a backplate, higher core and boost clock, and is longer and taller.

Other Thoughts: No serious performance difference than the more expensive one but I'd spend the extra $20 for the backplate.

4 out of 5 eggsquiet cool

Pros: The card was surprisingly light. Compared to my previous Sapphire 6950, this card is much lighter, thinner, but longer.
Fans at 100% are quieter than my 6950 (which was very quiet compared to 7950 I tried to upgrade to) at 60%, which is very quiet. I tend to keep my pc on at night, and the noise level is barely there anymore. I thought about getting MSI or Asus 970 because of passive cooling at low end, but if the 38% fan speed at idle is this quiet, it'll do.
This card heats up to about 72c under heavy load, but the fan only reaches up to 68% according to gpu-z and msi afterburner. if I manually turn up the fan to 100%, 63c at load.

Cons: Unlike G.1 Gaming brother, this card only features 2 copper pipes going through the fins instead of 4 in G1 gaming. I don't know if this was done to reduce weight or cost, but since I don't have g1, I don't know how much it hurts the temperatures.

While the fan covers look similar, this is made with thin plastic. No LED logo (which is a plus to me, but could be minus to others), and lacks backplate. Once again, I feel like this card is more reasonable way to cut cost and weight of the card, but can't help but to feel a bit cheated on since there is only $20 in difference, and had I know, I'd definitely waited for g.1's stock availability.
The card is very long. I had to re-arrange some cages and wires to fit in my case, but nothing a mid tower shouldn't handle.

Other Thoughts: I'm starting to notice high pitch buzz coming from the card under heavy load at extended period of time, which is a bit bothersome, but either I'm getting used to the noise, or the noise is phasing out with some use.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Value

Pros: - Improved power delivery
- Highest factory core clock/boost
- Samsung memory IC's; factory clocked for 7ghz but will often overclock to 7800-8000mhz
- High maximum rated power draw (for overclocking purposes)
- Most effective cooling solution (especially when it comes to VRM section of the board)
- Best air cooled solution
- *Highest stock TDP/Power Limit (for overclocking purposes)
- Most display connectivity 3xDP 1xHDMI 2xDVI

Cons: - No Back Plate

Other Thoughts: This card does not come with a backplate. I wish it could have came with one but it doesn't bother me much.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Value

Pros: Amazing performance for the cost! This card performs just as good if not better than cards that cost hundreds of dollars more. There is a reason this card is sold out everywhere.. I was lucky enough to snipe one within the few minutes it was in stock. Runs BF4 on Ultra settings and 4x AA @ 1920x1080 144hz in the 60-100+ fps range. It has the 3x Display Port which is great if you are running multiple monitors using 120/144 hz. The OC is an added bonus. Will add another down the road for SLI. Lower power consumption is also a nice feature as you don't need an insane PSU to run SLI setups.

Cons: None so far... eats everything I throw at it.

Other Thoughts: Overall this is an amazing card. Check the benchmarks in comparison to the 780ti, 980, 290, Titan, etc. and you will see that the 970 is right there with them in performance and costs hundreds less. Should be a no brainer.
