5 out of 5 eggsWOW

Comments: Hey what can I say, this card is fast, and man do the games look great. I just got a gaming PC put together, leaving my MAC behind and I am so glad to have this card. Half Life 2 is absolutely great. I am having trouble with Battlefield 2, the sound is horrible. I am using on board sound, is that the problem?

5 out of 5 eggs

Comments: Case: Antec Sonata II w/ 450 watt stock PSU
Case Fans: 2x Vantec 120mm Stealth
Motherboard: Asus A8N-E
CPU: Athlon 64 3500+ Venice core Socket 939 (Arctic Silver 5 thermal grease for CPU and GPU of course)
CPU Heatsink: Zalman CNPS-7700-Cu (that big mother of a copper thing at the top of the motherboard)
RAM: OCZ Platinum Edition Enhanced Latency 2GB(2x1GB) 184-pin DDR400
GPU: MSI ATI Radeon X800XL PCI-Express
GPU Heatsink: Zalman VF700-Cu (that slightly smaller big mother of a copper thing hanging under the graphics card)

This is real gem of a card. It runs BattleField2 high graphics with surprising ease, and even comes with a stock copper heatsink. Another thing that really shocked me was the software suite. Not only does it come with games (Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow, etc.), but a full load of utilities as well (Norton Internet Security, etc.). This card is probably the best bang for your buck as far as graphics cards go today. It will run anything on the market today on high graphics (Doom III would be a bit much, but even an X850XTPE can't benchmark that above 40FPS), and will be what the 9800Pro is now in a year or two (really long time in the computer world, eh?).

5 out of 5 eggsPick of the litter

Comments: Back when I bought my 9600Pro, I got NOTHING with the card.

This time around I went with MSI, and I'll probably stick with them from now on. This is by far the best package that I could have gotten for my budget.

Included were high quality gold plated hookups for HDTV/SVIDEO/COMPOSIT VID. Also an extended SVID cable approx. 3' gold plated and shielded. 3 Full games, Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow, and URU. Virtual Drive, and what appears to be a ghosting utility. Also, a CD full of useless utilities (oh well, at least they tried).

Runs great. All of todays games @ Max settings. BF2, HL2 the included games.

5 eggs all the way. GG MSI

Comments: Ok I got this card 4 days ago and I must say WOW. I upgrade from a Geforce Fx5900xt to this X800xt. I must say the diffrence is amazing the fx5900 was not a old or bad card and was still pretty fast but compared to this new one :D I must say this one plays game 10x's better and the picture quality is way beyound anything i have ever seen with NVida i would recoundmend this card over any 6800gt :) this is a value priced card with awsome preformance.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card for CS:Source

Comments: I ordered this card instead of a 6800GT based on numerous reviews and I must say.. They were all true!! I'm running this card with an AMD64 3700+ SD and I'm getting over 100FPS in Source 1280x1024 with all settings maxed.

3 out of 5 eggsOne DVI channel works well at least...

Comments: This card was easy to install and one of the DVI output channels works well. The DVI output channel works but I see lighter horizontal stripes scrolling up or down on my screen. It is not terrible but much less than I would expect for a card of this price. I am using the latest drivers, etc. I also dinged it a star because MSI's tech support is a bit of a hassle to deal with. You have to fill out a really long form to send them an e-mail and then when they reply, do not include a valid reply to address so you can't follow up!
