1 out of 5 eggsno good

Pros: cheap AGP card.

Cons: Wouldnt display 1080p on my TV via DVI/HDMI cable. Nvidia said that high of res. is not supported on a DVI only VGA! What! 6200 works great tho.

5 out of 5 eggsgood for money, bad install cd

Pros: Gave no problems on install, once I got the drivers going it ran fine and had a really nice image.

Cons: Setup CD wouldn't auto run, had to browse CD like the guy below me; but I deciced to go to MSI's website and just download the latest drivers.

Other Thoughts: Great card for the money, driver issue not that big of a deal and of course Newegg is great!

4 out of 5 eggsPretty Good Card for the Price

Pros: Large heat sink for cooling means that I don't have to worry about the fan burning up on me. Price was pretty attractive and the DVI and VGA is a nice combo.

Cons: Setup disk did not work very well, just sort of sat there when I hit th install link. Had to browse the CD and install the xp drivers manually - no too much of of pain because it did work, just a little scarey at first.

5 out of 5 eggsVery happy with card

Pros: I received a Gigabyte GE Force Fx5200 which I think is different from MSI. It installed easily and drives two monitors, a DVI and a VGA, nicely. The "standard" DVI cable supplied with my LCD monitor worked perfectly.

Cons: The temperature in my Shuttle with a P4/3.0 went to about 130F on first startup but returned to 105F on subsequent restarts and seems happy.

Other Thoughts: The supplied software is well done and easy to manage. Many good options to make dual monitors work as they should.

4 out of 5 eggsDVI-D, not DVD-I

Pros: Price is right!

Cons: Sometimes you learn the hard way. Should have read more of the reviews; some of the earlier ones mention this issue. The card uses DVI-D (digital) instead of DVI-I (digital and analog). As a practical matter, this means that if your DVI cable has 5 pins on the left side of it, it will not fit this video card. The wikipedia entry on DVI explains the five types of DVI connectors (digital, analog, both, single and dual link). Such complexity.

3 out of 5 eggsLittle but Power Hungry

Pros: I really liked this card because of it's low profile. I was able to easily remove the mounting bracket and the vga connector to get it to barley fit in a 3" high custom case.

Cons: This small card requires minimum a 350w power supply. I couldn't even get the card to power up or anything due to the small power supply (which is all that will fit) in my custom machine.

Other Thoughts: I'm disappointed that such an older, fanless chipset would require such a large power supply. I guess I should have checked MSI's website for additional specs.

Cons: none, just a simple card.

Other Thoughts: Overall, a good card for people on a tight budget.
