You cant go wrong!
- Pros: you can't go wrong at this price! the card is MONEY!
- Cons: none
Could have been a great low cost card
- Pros: For the cost, works a lot better than I expected. Runs a lot of newer games at medium/high settings without choppiness. Pretty pleased performance wise.
- Cons: I got this card specifically for the s-video out and I can not set up multiple displays. It kinda knows the TV is there, I can use the TV as a single display, but no multiple displays. It's not the TV's fault as an older nvidia and an ATI card both work flawlessly. When a cable is connected, it seems to like to boot with the TV and then switch over to the monitor after windows starts loading, without any reason to do such. (And then that just makes me wonder why it can't do multiple displays even more). On both the TV and monitor, there is an annoying curvature of the display that can't be fixed with any settings. It starts out straight top right but then starts slopping in more and more as it gets to the left corner.
- Other Thoughts: I'm not exactly sure if it's just a bad card or what the deal is. Googling around brought up similar issues though. Normally I just download the latest drivers from nvidia and don't bother with manufacturer's disks, but for the sake of trying to fix the problems I installed their utilities and drivers and they are pretty awful. This card was meant to be a temporary solution until I had more cash to spend on higher cards and as such, I'm not returning as it will be a backup/test card hopefully soon.
Worth the price for what it can do
- Pros: I'm not an extreme gamer, but this card can handle everything I throw at it at max settings with no performance issues.
- Cons: For someone who doesn't play the most recent, top-of-the-line games, none.
- Other Thoughts: Make sure you install the MSI drivers, or keep aspect ratio / scaling won't work.
