3 out of 5 eggsCould be better

Pros: No fan, low price, good fit for low-profile SFF chassis.

Cons: Couldn't handle 2 24" monitors without major hiccups. Didn't do so well with simple games either. It's a disappointment, especially compared to nVidia 8400.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty Good Budget Card

Pros: Price/Value

Cons: Problems with HDMI Audio Drivers in XP; had to disable some devices in XP's Control Panel.

Other Thoughts: Overall it's a decent card for using in a ultra-ultra-budget system; more memory than most onboard video adapters. Be patient and polite with MSI's rebate center and you should get a check within 10 weeks.

3 out of 5 eggsDual Link?

Pros: Quiet, low power.

Cons: maybe misleading specs.

Other Thoughts: The newegg site says this card has a dual link capable dvi port. The MSI site is unclear about whether it is single link or dual. I do not have a 30' lcd yet, but I got this card to drive it when I do. (I do not game, just want more real-estate). At any rate, when hooked up, the modes listed for the card top out at 2048 x 1536. The modes possible should list 2560. I do not think this card does dual link so I will be returning it.

2 out of 5 eggsNot even middle of the road

Pros: Price is OK. It works. Silent - no fan.

Cons: Slow card. I bought this card to upgrade an ageing ATI 700 Pro with 128 MB of RAM. The 2400 Pro has a faster clock speed and twice as much ram. However, it is approximately 1/3 as fast as my older card. In performance test 6.1, 3D graphics mark - the ATI 700 scored 384. The new 2400 card only scored 122.

The only thing I changed was the video card.

Heat sink is huge, but I knew that when I bought it.

Other Thoughts: If you are looking for a middle of the road card for general use and and moderate gaming I would seriously recommend a better performing card. Keep looking, this is not it. Might be OK with XP OS, bit I doubt it.

Vista basic with SP1, 3 gig ram, AMD X2 4000, Brisbane. Used latest ATI drivers.

4 out of 5 eggsPay Attention

Pros: - No probs with driver install
- Runs Blue-Ray movies, basic web browsing, and basic
computer functions with no issues
- Wish it had a HDMI instead I used an ATI adapter with no
issues

Cons: - None so far.......maybe more memory, but do you expect
for the money

Other Thoughts: Pervious reviewer quote "Good luck getting any good games to run. This junk couldn't shove out 20fps in Half Life 2 Ep2. The only game that runs well with Windows Classic Mode on is Half Life 2 Deathmatch! Which depends on the map." ....this is a 256MB budget video card built with HTPCs in mind, not video games. Do some research before you buy a card for something it isn't built for and then type a bad review. This card utilizes my Blue-Ray DVDs and displays them flawlessly on my 55" Plasma.

1 out of 5 eggsPiece of junk

Pros: DirectX10, Price, pleased with MSI's tech support, PCI Express.

Cons: Good luck getting any good games to run. This junk couldn't shove out 20fps in Half Life 2 Ep2. The only game that runs well with Windows Classic Mode on is Half Life 2 Deathmatch! Which depends on the map.

Other Thoughts: This card is horrific. The drivers for this are very bad. I have had so many problems with my computer and this card. Sometimes when I'm working in Windows, the thing locks up to the point where you hard restart by pulling the plug. This card has had its drivers thread getting stuck in my CPU, getting a BSOD 10 times with this card. If you can, go for an 8800 or GeForce 9.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Value

Pros: Great full featured DirectX 10 card for those on a budget. Will play most games at adequate settings, though most won't use this for hardcore gaming. Works great in Vista, has DVI-I and VGA output for dual display which works flawlessly.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: I couldn't have chosen a better graphics card to meet my needs. This delivers solid performance for dual display setups in XP/Vista which is what I was after. It has both a VGA port and DVI-I so it is possible to hook up two ANALOG monitors, or one digital/analog each. I purchased four for Dell Optiplex 330 machines and haven't looked back. Drivers are so-so, required an uninstall/reinstall to get Catalyst Control Center working correctly. Card runs 57C degrees at idle which is more than acceptable.

4 out of 5 eggsGood

Pros: Price is great for people with a budget.
Good for basic Vista stuff and basic games.

Cons: I wish it had a little more power

Other Thoughts: Direct X 10 does look great.

5 out of 5 eggsAffordable and works great!

Pros: Inexpensive, easy install and seems to work well on a 64 bit Vista System.

Cons: None that I can think of.

Other Thoughts: Installed on a new system running Windows Vista 64 bit with an AMD Athlon X2 processor. Other than not liking Vista the card seems to work fine.

3 out of 5 eggsI was wrong and am sending it back

Pros: Cheap

Cons: I was wrong in my previous post below..

Other Thoughts: I was wrong in my previous review. THe new drivers fixed the 1080p decoding, but de-interlacing support is flawed somehow. If you're buying a card in this price range from ATI, I think the 3000 series low end cards are the better choice right now.
