5 out of 5 eggsGreat card

Pros: Best price/performance ratio out there. Its the only midrange card with decent performance. Scores 9000+ on 3dmark06. 8800GT is too much money for me. This card fit right into my budget and performs within range of the higher end stuff.

Cons: None so far. I've had it since before Christmas and haven't had an issue.

Other Thoughts: I didn't load the drivers from the cd. I went straight to ATI's website.

Cons: Should have 512MD

Other Thoughts: Wish I could have afford the 3870

5 out of 5 eggsBest Buy

Pros: Price and Warranty. This card is the only one with 3 years warranty. I email several companies related to warranty and this is the one with the best (V····tek did not replied).

Cons: Runs little hot, should be careful and use factory O.C. options.

Other Thoughts: They sell so fast that I had to use other company to buy the Crossfire x twin.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Price Good Card

Pros: Single Slot, So Free one PCIe x1. A 10000+ 3DMark 06 Card. A card for 300w PS unit. By 3rd party software, Fan speed can be con

Cons: 256MB, but it is a option
until Diver is installed, it works like a 100% load, but the BIOS hard set the Fan speed to the lowest. Becare the Temp. when this card is running while no driver is loaded. (This card can work under 95C, so may not a big problem)

Other Thoughts: ATI Tool can control the Fan speed, but its service make the card unoverclockable, so if you plan to overclock it, use Riva--Tuner 206. No plan to overclock, but just for testing, no mod same stock fan , 100% Fan speed, 10800+ 3DMark 06 is possible. (780MHz Core clock, 1050 Mhz Mem)
10200 @ 700,1010 is stable with lowest Fan speed setting.
10600 @ 750, 1060 with 45% Fan Speed

5 out of 5 eggsHigh Value for Money

Pros: Price, OC edition, Power comp.

Cons: Cannot find any software for Catalyst 7.12 to change speed on fan
Anybody ?

Other Thoughts: Improved FPS with new 7.12 Catalys 8300 3D mark 2006
AMD X2 4000+, 2GB, Vista Premium, 300W power Supply, Nmedia PC case.
This card rock in power, and Idleing. When not used drop speed to 300Mhz 40 C idle. Great system build from one manufacture and one drivers. AMD is #1

5 out of 5 eggsWould buy again

Pros: Fast and cheap, Long but slim PCB fits in my small mATX desktop case, very quiet with stock fan profile - can change fan speed with RT. Low power consumption - same as my old x800 128MB.

Cons: Only scored 6XXX in 3dMarx06 since I'm using a PCI-E x8 motherboard but it still ran Crysis Demo at ~25FPS @ 1680 on medium detail. Also, the card runs reasonably hot even in a well-ventilated case due to the low fan speed which keeps it quiet. Run the fan at 100% during gaming (I use headphones) and it will stay very cool but you'll go deaf if you leave it that way all the time.

Other Thoughts: Used with both 7.11/12 drivers on Vista32 without issues. 400W Athenatech mATX PSU had plenty of juice for this card and my Athlon x2 @ 2200MHZ @ Nvidia 6100/405, SATA HDD, and DVDRW.

5 out of 5 eggsMore like this...

Pros: So far, everything about it. Performance is there, price is awesome, and I can't even hear its fan running! The packaging it comes in is even cool.

Cons: None at the moment.

Other Thoughts: We need more like this from AMD/ATI.

Also, just a side note... Graphics cards these days are huge! This is one big m0fo.

5 out of 5 eggsHeat/Fan Issues

Pros: Excellent value for the money. Scores over 11K in 3DMark06 with my system.

Cons: There is an issue with the HD 3800 series and their fans. The autofan settings do not seem to work so the fan runs at 30% or lower at all times which causes most of the heat issues. Download a 3rd party utility and set the fan at 80% while gaming and your temps will stay below 60 degrees.

Other Thoughts: Hopefully a driver revision fixes the fan problem.

5 out of 5 eggsNot bad

Pros: Fast! This card really does perform well for your money. Most games I have tried run on the highest quality settings and does not break a sweat. I tried HL2, F.E.A.R., Lost Planet, And Doom3, all are excellent.
The card is quiet, and seems to stay around 38C. The included MSI DOT is great for overclockers, though it limited me to 10% above stock....

Cons: No Sticker, I love having my little stickers on my case for lan parties - a little bragging rights...

ALso, Stalker runs like poop, have yet to figure out why. either its ram issues or a driver issue.

Other Thoughts: The 3850 is replacing a NVidia 7600GT, and doing a beautiful job of it. Its a bit longer than my 7600, but it is also single slot(which is very nice). The ATI overdrive utility does not seem to work either, just the MSI DOT...
System as is:
AMD X2 4200+, MSI K8N Neo4 Plat, 1GB DDR 400 Buffalo, MSI ATI 3850, 2x 160GB HDD, SB X-Fi
