5 out of 5 eggsGREAT

Pros: GREAT LOOK, And Size. All copper heat sink.

COD4 Maxed SP mode 150-178FPS
Multiplayer Mode 90-112FPS
Crysis HIGH settings 31FPS

Cons: Runs warm under load. was hitting 70C at the stock 40% fan speed. The fan is set to stay at 40% at all times. download and your ATI Tool .27b3. with fan speed above 80-100% can not hear the fan. temps idle at 37oC and game load is 58-61oC. not really a con but ATI CCC does not adjsut fans so have to use ATI TOOL.

2 out of 5 eggsGood Cards But!

Pros: Good color, and works well with photoshop

Cons: does not work well with Autodesk Products, could not get drivers to load at all, had to go on line to ATI just to get it to work. The new driver dated Dec.2008 caused the card to crash, I finally got Ati's new Beta to work.

Other Thoughts: MSI website is useless, could not get an answer from phone service, and never got new driver to down load from any MSI source. Stay away from this product, pay a couple of busks more and get the ATI boards.

5 out of 5 eggsnot bad but

Pros: Great card for the money, plays EQ2 well, Crysis so-so, looks better than 8800GT (in the 2 games i stated). A great stand alone card. HDMI plug and play with sound output to your HDMI TV!!!

Cons: Crossfire wasnt great in windows vista 64, minor improvement, went back to 1 card. but x-fire did improve Crysis frame rate slightly.

Other Thoughts: I shoulda have bought a 3870 x2 at the time instead of 2 3870's. If you plan on running crossfire with this generation of card, the 3850's seem to perform just as good as 2 3870s. great quality.

4 out of 5 eggsAn understandable mistake...

Pros: The card comes about in a simple looking box and a simple looking design. But looks can be deceiving, make no mistake (such as I did in my prior review) with the right hardware (which I now have) and the right card, the RX3870 outperforms the 8800 at factory level. The 800 core, 2250 mem & 320 stream processors give the card an enormous performance boost.

Cons: With my IDE HD's, games will still hiccup now and then, but that's only cause my HD's are under load. The card has no problems yet. Buy retail and you won't have to worry about DOA's or short life-span.

Other Thoughts: A month ago this card was almost $400. Buy it now, or buy it later, your choice. This card is booming for an ATI build! I should know, I was with nVidia for years.

5 out of 5 eggsMidrange Performance Monster

Pros: Fast GDDR4, Factory OC, dual-slot cooler.

Cons: BIG card. At full-tilt the fan can be a bit noisy.

Other Thoughts: 3870 is a solid chip and MSI has done a great job with their factory OC and cooler implementation. Chip runs at a steady 40c and the fan responds well to changes in temperature. Plays my games VERY well at moderate resolution (1680x1050). Zero complaints.

2 out of 5 eggsGood card, when it works ... MSI support=no good

Pros: Factory OC

Cons: I bought 2 of these cards. One has worked flawlessly. Second experienced random crashes during video stress tests. Only failed specific stress tests. Passed others such as PCMark. Both systems were identical builds. Popped the bad card in the other system then that one started exhibiting the same problems. RMA'd the card, sent to MSI. They tested the board, with PCMark which I told them worked fine but guess what? They just returned my board to me with no explanation of what they did or anything. No phone calls, no nothing. That's horrible support. Call the customer and find out what issue they're having BEFORE sending back the same friggin' board!
So, I returned it AGAIN. This time they actually replaced it. The replacement I got back looked like it had been used to sweep the floors. Dirty, scuffed up and scratched everywhere. But, it worked. Until last week. Random driver crashes with the video while playing games. Moved card to a same build system and ...

Other Thoughts: ... it exhibited the same problems. So it's not an OS issue. Both systems were identical down to the keybaord. SO this is my 3rd RMA. If you can find this card with an offer you can't refuse then buy it, otherwise pick a different manufacturer. My last MSI purchase for sure.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card for the money

Pros: I have been running this card for a few months now and it is great. Perfect with Vista and the drivers installed nicely. The card also stays pretty cool and helps keep the case cooler by using dual slot cooling. Runs Grid and UT3 at game's maximum graphics at 1680x1050 res!!! This card does 22" monitor gaming!

Cons: None but I've noticed the fan is a tad louder than the fans on the HIS 3000 series. No big deal though, usually I turn the case fans up during gaming which drowns it out and with the audio, it doesn't matter anyway.

Other Thoughts: The card is a behemoth. Fits in the case and clears everything on the mobo but there isn't much extra room. Dual slot card so check out your mobo's expansion slot layout to see what slots this card will block. On my board, one of the PCI slots is blocked. Also, this card won't fit on a bottom pci-e slot on a mobo in a mid-atx case. You will need a full size case.
System Highlights: Asus m3a32-mvp deluxe, AMD Phenom 9600, MIS RX3870, 650w psu, 4gb crucial ballistix ram.

4 out of 5 eggsStrange and Unlikely

Pros: Decent on most games and runs semi-quiet (fan only speeds up when the power fluctuates). Some of the best specs I've seen on a card so far, however performance wise; it measures up there with the 8800.

Cons: Wasn't able to get Mass Effect to run on low, medium, high, or even ultra high at a decent framerate. Averaged 17 and 9 under load. Not sure if the drivers are to blame, if Vista is capping my card or if my MOBO is having support issues.

Other Thoughts: Install the CD Drivers, they are a lot more stable and do offer better performance gameplay. The drivers on the CD are specifically engineered for this card and the newest Catalyst drivers on ATI's site seem to cause a lot of BSOD's and Arts.
