Pros: Great for games, quiet.

Cons: No full screen video overlay using s-video out. makes this card completely useless for watching movies on a TV.

5 out of 5 eggsNew Life for an Older System

Pros: I was hoping for just a boost with this card to hold me 'til the "big upgrade" this fall. This card more than doubled my 3DMark scores (replaced a 7900GT), and as a bonus, "Do not scale" finally works with my VX2025wm LCD! Runs CoD4, UE3 and Source engine games more than fast enough @ native 16x10 resolution with all the eye-candy turned up. Free copy of the Witcher, very nice! Cooler exhausts through the rear, which is good for keeping case temps down. Only needs one (6 pin) PCIe power plug. Haven't even OC'ed it yet, don't think I really need to (until I get around to Crysis)...

Cons: No major flaws - runs hotter than I'd like at stock fan speeds, but you can override that in the CP. However, the setting doesn't stick thru reboot, so you'll need to re-do it periodically (XP driver issue). Fan can be loud at over 67% (louder than the rest of my whole system).

Other Thoughts: Rig: XP Pro(SP3), A64X2 4200+ @ 2.7GHz (S-939), 2GB Corsair XMS DDR, Abit AN8-32x, Audigy 4 SE. If you were wondering if adding this card to an older system would improve your gaming performance - IT WILL. :D

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great Card, haven't tried overclocking yet. Went from an xfx 7800GTX to this card, and WOW. What a difference. Can run every game at 1900 x 1200 except for crysis.

Cons: Fan is LOUD when it first boots up. I mean LOUD. Not really a con though, as it is very quiet after the first woosh of air.

Other Thoughts: Great price/ value. Screw SLI and screw paying ludacris money for a 9800gx2. Out.

5 out of 5 eggsKewl Dood!

Pros: Ok. So my ship finally comes in and I am able to scrap my old single core/AGP box. and build my DREAM MACHINE. AMD6400 M2N32 SLI deluxe etc.. plus this card. I researched and thought this was a smart choice. Get everything going and yes, it's a big improvement over my 7600GT but not what I was expecting. Medium settings on Crysis, ok, but I should do better on FEAR, Halflife2 etc...
Then I remembered something I'd read:
' over clock '
HALLALUAHA, I can SEE! FEAR: MAX, HL2: MAX and Crysis: MAX. Just a little fiddling with the knobs and WOW! Now I'm regretting ordering another for SLI ..wait.. NO! EA, VALVE, bring it on baby, I can take anything you dish out for a good long while. And I'm not regretting not going with 9800GX2, 9800GTX etc. I understand the lure of pushing the outside of the envelope. But for the average gamer, this card is all you need. The mouse.

Cons: Ahhhhhhhh..... NOPE!

Other Thoughts: Cooling, NOW I get it. That butterfly shaped CPU thingie is on its way.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: For those curious how this baby performs in Crysis, it can run ~20-25 fps with CCC's custom config in XP x64 set to the highest possible setting with the TOD mod and everything else installed. If you want some smoother frame rates, set CCC's to the 2nd to highest setting and it will still look just as amazing but you'll get ~30-35 fps. For all other games, this thing wipes the floor with them. TF2? Hah! DIPS to 100 fps with everything cranked up to max settings.

Cons: Can't OC too well on this one. 730/1050 is about as high as I can push it and even then with the fan all the way up (which you DON'T want to play games with), in high intensity games I'd start to notice artifacts even though the tests passed fine. I currently run it at 700/1015 with everything perfect.

5 out of 5 eggsWicked Awesome Card!!

Pros: Runs cool and never hear the fan speed up at all! Runs everything on the market now on Very high.

Cons: Double slot card, should come with 2 DVI adapters

Other Thoughts: Great deal and amazing value, why would any one buy a normal GT card?!?

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great video card. It works perfectly in my XPS420 with 375W PSU, but that's only a temporary solution, because of the lack of power, the computer sometimes laggs, and the card can't be overclocked.

Cons: The fan speed. Even in heavy load, it stays at 36%. For gaming, it has to be manually adjusted at higher speeds.

Other Thoughts: Too bad that my XPS420 has only one PCI Express x16 2.0

5 out of 5 eggsGreat so far

Pros: Excellent performance so far. I finally replaced my 7800GT with this. It's been able to play every game I've tried on max settings. I got it with the free copy of The Witcher, I don't know if Newegg is still doing that though. Now that the 9 series is out, this is pretty much the reliable choice for those of us who can't afford first gen prices.

Cons: None so far. I had a slight difficulty getting it into my case, but my case is a little small and my wires are unorganized.

Other Thoughts: I am not using DX10, I haven't decided to switch to Vista yet. I really don't know how this card will stack up to DX10 when compared to the 9 series. If you have the money to spare, you may want to wait a little bit and get a high end 9800, but for the price I think it's pretty much the best card out there.
