5 out of 5 eggsIt's HUGE and crazy fast!

Pros: It's stupid fast. Don't need any other card with it but I do have it in CF with another one. All graphics flow like water. I have been gaming for a long time and often times during the game, because I upgraded from a different rig, I would expect the frames chap a bit in some parts(game parts w/ heavy rendition) but this baby (babies) just flow through those frames smooth like liquid... ooooh.... aaahh. Sweet.. plus Newegg put it on sale with free shipping + MIR from MSI so I didn't really needed to think hard to get it. Oh by the way the packaging is also huge & cool looking and builds up more excitement opening it up and installing it.

Cons: For some people being huge is a problem.. I have a full tower so I say; "bring it!"

Other Thoughts: Vista ULTIMATE-64
8GB Corsair Dominator DDR2 (4 x 2G) 1066
Quad CF 2 x 3870x2
Antec TP Quatro 1000
2 x Maxtor 500GB Raid 0
22x LG DVD+/- writer w/ Light scribe
MSI P45 Platinum HC Edition (RMA)
Replaced: Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent card for high resolution gaming.

Pros: Dual GPUs give excellent scaling at higher resolutions, fairly quiet.

Cons: Very very long, in my case it touches the hard drives! Runs fairly hot, about 80C, but well within the max specs (this hardware is designed to run at up to 105C). Since this is basically 2 3870s crossfired, any new game doesn't benefit from second GPU, eg. Far Cry 2 gives 26fps all maxed out on 1920*1200, but with only one 3870 gives 29fps, same settings.

Other Thoughts: This card seems to be slightly faster than stock HD 4850, but only in games that support CrossfireX. Although Crysis doesn't take anywhere close to full advantage of this card, you can still use it. I went from 1024*768 on High in Crysis to 1920*1200 on High and the framerate is identical, meaning if you want higher resolution gaming, this card can provide.

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent card Saves Using 2 slots

Pros: Pure power, Close to the 4870's at a lower price, Running 4 cards now possible by using only 2 slots.
Used to be best bang for the buck vs the 4870's at th 209 price level - Read Below

I was going to buy 2 of the cards 2 weeks ago, but wanted to research the 4870's first.
WOW that was a BIG mistake waiting 2 weeks!!!!
Now Newegg is taking advantage of the upcomming holidays and instead of seeing a price decrease on these cards they pulled off a thirty dollar price INCREASE in the last 2 weeks.
They were at 209 - PLUS even 30 cheaper with an earlier promo on 10-21 at 179!, (Still With the 40 MIR)
But now seeing them at 239 is nothing more than a Newegg Price gouge taking advantage of thier loyal customers, due to to the upcomming Holiday season!
No other reason than I can think of, due to the fact these cards are now old news, due to the 4870's~!

Other Thoughts: Be Leary

4 out of 5 eggsIt's okay.

Pros: I just got it and installed and it WORKED (THANK GOODNESS)
It's freakin heavy so even with the 2 screws it leans a bit.

Cons: It idles a bit hot.. 48-52
I had to use riva tuner to make it cooler..
My 3850 was 30 idle..

Other Thoughts: Antec 1200 case

Counter strike FPS=194 Full high 1680x1050 full filters

FPS before new card (3850) 220 no filters; with filters: 50

This card no filters 200.................

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This video card runs like a dream. It stays cool in my antec 900 case. I have all settings oh max with no errors. I would recommend this card for anyone with a fixed income.

Cons: The only con that I can see is that some games do not see that it as two GPU processors on it. One other thing is that my windows only see 512mbs instead of the 1gb shared between the two processors.

Other Thoughts: Overall it is tha best card I have ever owned. Newegg is one of the best online sites out there. I recommend everyone to check them first.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: Newegg rocks!!! Got it in three days... fired right up and ran flawless. Plus I got it for under two twenty with the forty dollar rebate.

Cons: Power hog...not really a con but make sure you have the juice this giant will need. For my build I needed 700w

Other Thoughts: Get a quad and sit back and enjoy!!!

5 out of 5 eggsto theLaminator

Pros: get them while you can for the price ya can't beet em

Cons: can't think of any runs cool w/RT 55% gets it around 48 idle 55 to 60 on load not a con but get vista 32 or 64 it will recongnize multi gpu with the 8.9 drivers couldn't get xp to do it? now it a whole new ballgame had tri cx fire but will soon have these in cfx

Other Thoughts: running tri fire in vista xp won't recongnise, what a difference vista 64 made all 8 gigs recognized, and multi gpu's aswell, awsome the egg rocks thanks eli, gave me the $40 difference when i bought it a week ago for more, although i did promise to pick up another one, crossfire these big boys, for the price why not, get me by till the 4870 drops more just like these did

3 out of 5 eggsTri CF x

Pros: Well I've been doing some research, looking around at different forums and benchmarks I finally decided to buy this card as it appears to perform about as well as the 4xxx series cards in CF when AA comes into play. That is when this card is ran with another 3870 in a weird tri cf setup. The card should be here in a couple days and I'll post back to let everyone know if I was able to run this MSI 3870 x2 with my current MSI 3870. I hope it works because I couldn't beat the current price on this card compared to others, or the 4xxx series cards

Cons: hopefully none :)
