1 out of 5 eggsYikes. Don't buy it- bad architecture.

Pros: None.

Cons: Don't buy this card. I've been having intermittent problems with this thing ever since I got it. Usually you can attribute crashes to the fault of the application, or memory, but in this case its definitely this card.

I get multiple 'black screens' at intermittent times where the card simply fails to output a video signal and the audio goes into a loop. You can google this card (9600 GT) and 'problems' if you want and see that there is a fairly large bug associated with it. I stuck with it because it happened rarely, but don't be fooled- it gets progressively worse until this thing is basically a brick.

Wish I had the sense to avoid this thing before I bought it.

5 out of 5 eggsimpressed

Pros: More than enough card for the casual gamer

Cons: The HDMI audio setup is a joke. The cable/header that the instructions read about are MIA. But I have my audio setup through the PC and 5.1 sound, not my display

Other Thoughts: I do play games enough to know the cards limitations and thus have not gone there yet, so therefore I have not been let down

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Value

Pros: Open Box like the poster below. Came with every retail accessory including box though. I felt the need to post seeing as this would have been an excellent buy even at the retail price and would be a fantastic card for a budget build. I just wanted a card to hold me over for a few months and this is well above what I expected for the price. The improvement from a 7800gt was staggering.

Cons: May run a big hot for some tastes I suppose. Idle 38-42, 3dmark load was up in the 65-67 area. Haven't seen it get that hot in a couple hours of general gaming though.

Other Thoughts: abit ip35-e, q6600, 4 gigs ddr2 800. Haven't done a lot of gaming yet but I have a few installed and I can say at 1680x1050 Timeshift, Test Drive Unlimited, and Kane and Lynch Dead Men were all set to max and I don't recall anything under 35 fps for any of those games and even if their was it was probably back up in at least the mid 40's shortly after. Great card, very satisfied.

5 out of 5 eggsBest cost per performance card on the market right now!!

Pros: Awsome card!! I bought open box item for $109 card was still sealed (even came with copy of Witcher!!!). This card still has overhead room to overclock even more (but happy with performance)

Cons: Didn't come with power cable but because it was open box item

Other Thoughts: You can get 8800GT will will be little bit faster but pay extra $50?? Great card, as usual excellent service from newegg

4 out of 5 eggsDont forget to update the drivers

Pros: Took my pitiful 3DMark 06 score or 310(lol) to 5545(meh). Ran stable after driver update to lastest as of 3/30/08. Stock overclock is stable.

Cons: Before updating drivers it would glitch when loading 3D intensive apps including Solidworks, a 3D CAD program. Cant just blame drivers because I've heard of other cards working flawlessly without update.

Other Thoughts: Updating the driver should be done anyway no matter if the card your get runs great right out of the box. No big deal just thought it should be know.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Upgrade

Pros: Plays COD4, BF2 and BF2142 on high settings. Great 3dmark score (for a Dell). Factory overclock is very stable. Can overclock if you like easily. Install was painless (10 minutes including unplugging and replugging everything). Sniping is unfair with this.

Cons: Have to manually update the drivers, as MSI's auto update (both disc and online version) makes the blue screen of death appear. Scary.

Other Thoughts: My Radeon X850XT PE gave up the ghost. I am waiting about 1 year to build a Vista-based system, and wanted to extend the life of my Dimension 8400 (don't laugh). If you want to stay with a DirectX 9.0 system in the near term, get this card.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great card. Runs games at high quality settings with 1680x1050 resolution. Except crysis, of course

Cons: Hope it doesn't get too outdated too quickly, with the relatively low # of stream processors.

Other Thoughts: Great card for the price. I'd vote against getting a more expensive 8800 as the extra money doesn't justify the performance increase.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: Works great. I have two sli'd and they work great once I got the newest drivers from nvidia. Before the latest release of the drivers the cards didn't work very well.

Cons: none other than the driver issues. I think the cards will work even better once the drivers are developed more.

Other Thoughts: I'm running a AMD 6000+ Dual Core on a Asus Crosshair board w/ 4gb of ddr2800 corsair along with the sli'd 9600gt's.
Vista 64 SP1

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card!

Pros: Cool running, good bundle and price, 700/1680/950 stock clocks.

Cons: What's not to like?

Other Thoughts: oc reasonably well, heat really not an issue so a vmod will make a world of difference.

5 out of 5 eggsWOW!!!

Pros: What can i say? This is an awesome card. Im running two of them in SLI in a EVGA 680i MOBO. As it turns out... these will in fact run Crysis at full specs with an Intel 2.4g dual core. With these cards coming factory OC'd, you cant complain. Does everything you want, and will handle extreme overclocking as well. All the adapters you need come with it. So dont buy an 8800gtx, these in SLI beat it, and cost less in the end. Great for gamers who dont wanna drop thousands on a system but still get the performance.

Cons: Goofy picture on the card, but for the performance, ill take it.

Other Thoughts: Hmm..... if only i had a MOBO that would support running 3 of these.......
