5 out of 5 eggsGreat card

Pros: Beautiful and powerful; great framerates on everything I've thrown at it. Fits in my mid-sized case fine.

Cons: Runs hot, requires a decent cooling system.

Other Thoughts: The size and power supply requirements needed in order to run this card are readily displayed. I would recommend checking them before purchasing it.

4 out of 5 eggsNice but hot

Pros: Does a good job with everything I've thrown at it. (mmo's and 3D modeling applications mostly)

Cons: Runs hot. I've added several extra fans just to keep it cool. It's monsterously huge.

Other Thoughts: I've heard that it isn't a major step up from the 8xxx series cards, which may be true. My motherboard wasn't SLI capable so I wanted something that would run like SLI without needing to buy a new motherboard and this did the trick.

Case size could be an issue with the size of the card as well as chipset positioning on motherboards. If you have a fan mounted on your chipset and it's near your pci-e slot, you could run into problems mounting it. Just do a little research before purchasing!

2 out of 5 eggsWon't fit in case, wont work at all

Pros: Everything you have heard I guess, I wouldn't know

Cons: Doesn't fit well in cases that don't use screws. Make sure the case you buy will fit this thing. I bought a Sunbeam Transformer Full Tower case and it doesn't fit because the hooks can't go around the bracket plate on the card and the bulk of this thing broke my Power led connectors as I was trying to get it in.

Other Thoughts: If you have the right case/mobo combination I imagine that it would be great. Unfortunately I think mine was either defective or broke when trying to get it in, cause it wouldn't work even when I hooked it up with the mobo outside the case.

5 out of 5 eggsWow you have some problem's

Pros: Tech Level: high - Ownership: less than 1 day
This user purchased this item from Newegg.com

Pros: It looks pretty.
Cons: This card will not fit in a large mid tower case. I had to remove my drive carriage to fit it in. You need to have a 6 pin AND an 8 pin power supply or you cannot use this card.
Other Thoughts: I have a 750 watt power supply that should be at least adequate to handle this card but it does not have an 8 pin power connector so now I am forced to buy a new power supply and/or case. Newegg was great as usual, I just wish they would clearly specify that you need a specific power supply just to run this card.

Cons: for this guy, the psu that i am useing 2X9800GX2 of this badboys is Hiper Type M PSU. i have psu for about 1 year, no problem with it...and running 2 of the 9800GX2 and the case i have a HIPER Anubis HTC-1K614A1 Black 6063 T5 Alloy ATX Mid Tower Computer Case.. it fits every thing...

5 out of 5 eggsMSI is the best in Video Card

Pros: MSI makes the best Video Cards and this one is no different. Runs great! very stable on my Vista with new drivers. Beauty!

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I run it on my 850W PSU with no problems but I'd suggest a 1000W PSU at least for this baby!

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Video card

Pros: This thing will run any game on the market on highest settings. On top of being very powerful it's probably the best looking video card I've ever seen. MSI is a great company, I buy all my video cards from them, never had any problems.

Cons: It's very large, make sure your case can handle it. It also draws a large amount of power, in sli I can't imagine using anything less than a 1200W power supply. Runs pretty hot compared to the rest of my system, ~58*C constant, while my OC'd cpu runs at 30*C constant.

Other Thoughts: Some people bash the 9800 GX2, however with the newest drivers installed it's a more than solid single card or dual card solution.
