5 out of 5 eggsGood video card back in '08

Pros: - bought this in '08 for an older build and its still running strong and can actually handle some modern games on low settings with okay paste.

Cons: none

4 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: This is the 2nd one that I have bought in 6 months. I used it because my 9800 GTX+ card died. This one worked just as intended. Couldn't really game but that's not what it is really for. Haven't had it died on me yet and I've had it for 6 months already. I'm taking 1 egg off because the heatsink feels a little loose. other than that, it works.

Cons: Heatsink wasn't too sturdy.

Other Thoughts: Cheap. got it for 20 bucks . Can't go wrong with that.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks fine

Pros: Works. My limiting factor here is my TV so I can't really comment about the quality of the output.

Cons: The short bracket that comes with it mounts a little funny. Doesn't really fit just right, and I was afraid of breaking the card while screwing the short bracket to the card.

Other Thoughts: I'm using the S-video output to connect to my TV. Keep in mind this is a 7-pin output if you need a converter. Couldn't find that information anywhere.
Also, with the card in place I cannot get a VGA signal from the motherboard - I don't know if this is a standard thing or not.

5 out of 5 eggsA great budget card.

Pros: Considering the price, this is a wonderful card to have if you don't play any games that are particularly demanding. It'l run most of today's less demanding games just fine. If you're not interested in a powerful gaming PC, and just want a decent and reliable card, this one is a good choice.

Cons: Nothing I can think of.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card for price

Pros: -Perfect for basic linux installs you want to work out of the box.
-Cleans up online streaming video, HD video and compiz where a lot of built in cards cant hold up
-Cheap
-comes with low-pro bracket

Cons: -No made for gaming

Other Thoughts: I got this card to as a cheep replacement for the onboard graphics in my HTPC. I run Ubuntu Linux 10.04 with Mythbuntu installed and it worked great right out of the box. Followed some brief instructions and had the newest Nvidia drivers running in minutes. Not a card meant for gaming but runs great for my HD movies, streaming videos, and desktop appeal with compiz.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat linux card

Pros: Installed and configured in Gentoo in a matter minutes. Supports output rotation that my previous card did not.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Finally bought an nvidia card to replace the onboard ATI that my desktop came with. All my linux gfx woes were gone instantly.

5 out of 5 eggssecond one

Pros: Whats not to like, a vga card for 10 dollars that is perfect for a htpc. Blu-Ray looks great. Small form factor. Low heat. This is my second one, the first went in a system that was also a htpc and it rocked i was suprised so i decided to buy another one. im very happy with this card.

Cons: Fan can be a bit noisy for those noise weenies but from 10ft away i cant hear it.

Other Thoughts: for those that get mad because it cant play crysis or COD at max, WHAT YOU PAY FOR IS WHAT YOU GET! dont knock an egg off because you made a poor decision on which card to get.

5 out of 5 eggsDoes what it is supposed to

Pros: -Runs both my TV (S-video) and CRT monitor (VGA) no problem.
-Low profile works well in my off-lease, HP dc7600 small form factor.
-Set-up was easy no problems with XP pro.
-Price $35 was good for me

Cons: -Quality does not seem as good as my laptop with built-in S-video, but then again the TV with the Laptop is much nicer.

-Not sure if it is a Windows or NVIDIA problem but setting up secondary display as the Left screen was difficult.

Other Thoughts: -I did not buy the card for gaming, so I can't really comment on that. But it runs my Starcraft just fine.

-I am also running through an IOGEAR GCS62 KVM Switch and no problems there.

-I took my a couple of days to get the S-video looking as good as I wanted, but I am picky.
