4 out of 5 eggsIt's Okay

Pros: Cheap (got an open box for 57). Quicker than expected. Dead silent. No boxy shroud on card to block sata ports. It's SMALL (tired of everyone saying the opposite).

Cons: 2 wire fan, cannot be speed adjusted (no need to though). Overbuilt power supply. Can't OC anymore than competitors 4830 (~20-25%), the chips themselves seem to be the limiting factor.

Other Thoughts: Upgraded from a 25% OC 8800gs to this (which I OC to the same 680 core/1080 memory speeds of the gs). At 1680 it runs COD4+5, FEAR2, Call of Juarez maxed out with no slowdowns. Farcry 2 and Crysis I can run a tier higher detail settings than the GS (1280 res) with even smoother results. Overall, it's about 25 to 33% faster, a good deal at the right price.

5 out of 5 eggsFinal Touch

Pros: Great upgrade for my budget gaming rig, I went from a 8300gs which came with my dell 530. I couldnt find any card that was this cheap with such great reviews and framerates. Ive been using nvidia cards since the old TNT card. Im glad Im back with ati, they didnt let me down, and msi makes the BEST 4830 card out there, BUY THIS CARD!!!

Cons: r u serious!? old drivers on disk....um... thats it

Other Thoughts: Dell 530 (made in late 07)
Antec Neo 480
Foxconn G33M02
Intel 4500 Duo 2.2 (will upgrade this summer)
Crucial DDR2 667 4gig
MSI 4830 OC 512 :)

4 out of 5 eggsVery noisy

Pros: Works great, plays all modern games very well!

overclocks nicely

Cons: Fan is extremely loud! Maybe mine is faulty? But it sounds like a harddrive that is constantly writing/being accessed.

You can't overclock if you update drivers to current ones. You can only overclock with drivers on CD ( ??? )

Other Thoughts: I wish I had gotten a 4850 or 9800.

5 out of 5 eggsBest of the 4830's

Pros: Samsung memmory, great overclocker, 4+1 power Phase, great bang for your buck at $90

Cons: Not a big deal but, I couldn't overclock with ATI overdrive so I used Riva instead .

Other Thoughts: MSI did a great job with this card. It puts my brothers Saphire 4830 to shame when it comes to overclocking.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat GPU

Pros: Value ratio is excellent. Even a year ago you wouldn't be able to get a card for this price that would play most of today's games at high settings and at a respectable resolution. This card can. Overclocks very well. For me it is perfectly stable at 675/1100. 700 got me blue screens however. I haven't tried pushing the memory clock further but don't really feel the need to. Only needs one six-pin PCI-E connector.

Cons: The ATI Overdrive that is in the new Catalyst Control Center 9.1 apparently doesn't like this card for whatever reason. However I was able to OC with another app that was preferable anyway. As stated this is a large card. In my mid-tower it stretches as far as my hard drive layout. The card takes two slots but IMO this is a reasonable tradeoff for the better cooling.

Other Thoughts: This card smokes my 2600XT.

4 out of 5 eggsSo far so good

Pros: I ordered 2 of these cards both arrived in good condition, both cards work great. overclock like a champ i run them both at 700/1000 and am sure they can go higher, low temps "more on that in cons"

Cons: I'm having extremely poor crossfire performance but that could be, because of driver's cpu bottleneck..ect, more on temps my 2 cards are siting at VASTLY different tempeture's one sit's at the normal 30-35c and the other sits at 19-20c, not sure if it's the card or what but it looses an egg for it

Other Thoughts: none realy it's a great card stable real high quality, be warned it is BIG full lengh card ie it's as wide as a full ATX motherboard so be away of that when you buy them

5 out of 5 eggsMoney Well Spent

Pros: * Price outstanding from Newegg!
* 256 Bit Memory Bus
* 512MB GDDR3 memory
* PCI Express 2.0
* Quiet running fan
* East Installation with most current Catalyst Drivers

Cons: * This is a long card and could present a problem if you have a small case. I had enough room but the worst was trying to get it through the power/data cables so it would slide into the slot.
* MSI does not include the DVI/HDMI adapter. It's up to you to locate one separately, which can be done here at Newegg. Just search for the HIS version that states it's compatible with Radeon 4800 series cards.

Other Thoughts: This is my 2nd MSI card and I've been pleased with both. They seem to be of quality build and have useful cables included. As I mentioned above, be ready to pick up a DVI/HDMI adapter separately if you need an HDMI connection. I'd read of problems with the drivers included on the included CD so I went and downloaded the latest Catalyst drivers from AMD/ATI. Problem free install and the card runs great. This card offers outstanding bang for the buck for those that may not have a lot of case laying around for expensive video cards. As of todays date newegg offered this at $89.99 with a $10.00 rebate.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card!

Pros: Great card for the price. OCed to 730/1120 with it with no problems. Fan works great on it. Only 45C under heavy load games with max settings like Crysis (using modded Antec 900 though)

Cons: Bigger than I expected it to be. Makes me scared of touching the end of the card because it might break off.

Other Thoughts: I had this but sent it back for the 1gb version. Now I can only OC that one up to 730/1040. If you can OC well with this card, keep it! I wasn't thinking smart when I saw the numbers I had reached.

5 out of 5 eggsI Love It!

Pros: Runs cool. Runs Oblivion 1680 x 1050 all settings maxed! Not loud at all.

Cons: Takes up 2 slots

Other Thoughts: Wish I would have waited 2 days and got the free game with it.

5 out of 5 eggsA beast

Pros: Very nice card!
overclocks well w/ drivers on cd

Cons: this thing is huge! its bigger than my foot
if you upgrade to current drivers on ati's site you can't overclock it

Other Thoughts: wish I had bought a 9800 gtx+
