5 out of 5 eggsGood card for the money

Pros: This card works great in my Dell Inspiron 531, with out having to upgrade the PSU on my computer. Its not a high in gaming card, but does play some games and plays DVD's with no hickups. Easy set up, and windows 7 works great. 5.7 on gaming score

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: If you want to upgrade your dell without spending a lot of money this is your card to get. As always, Newegg was great to deal with. THANKS

5 out of 5 eggsnow 1080p will play smoothly!

Pros: does what i bought it for, playing 1080p video from my 5D mkII and 7D. I dont use the computer for gaming, just for photos and now video that my DSLR shoots video, problem is the large 5d2 camera videos would skip when playing with my on-motherboard video card.

Cons: still waiting for the rebate to come, should be any day now....

Other Thoughts: works as a good video card, not bad for $16!!

1 out of 5 eggsDon't buy expecting a rebate

Pros: Price was good with a rebate offered.

Cons: Never received the rebate.

Other Thoughts: I probably will never buy an MSI product again. I have to wonder why a company offers a rebate and never pays it. I guess they don't care about running off loyal customers.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued MSI Customer,
“Please contact MSI customer service representative Tom at tomh@msi.com, or call Tom at 626-9130828 ext 216 with your case details so we can check the rebate status. Thank you.”

5 out of 5 eggsIt does the job

Pros: - decent video card, does the job for my TV out over HDMI w/ 5.1 sound
- fanless, noise free
- low profile back plate included
- no lag or halt when dragging a HD movie across multiple monitors even on different video cards

Cons: - temp runs above 50c somehow
- GDDR2 memory, definitely not good choice for gaming

4 out of 5 eggsjust right

Pros: DVI and HDMI...Open GL 2.1, works just like it is supposed to, easy install...great price, especially with the $20 mir...if you need an upgrade or replace a card this will do the trick...

Cons: the dang thing does not make coffee...it does cover the PCI slot next to the PCIe

4 out of 5 eggsDecent card for the price

Pros: Built in HDMI port
Great price

Cons: Massive heat sink - you will not be using the slot to the left of this card.
No provision for using the analog VGA port with the low profile bracket - you could probably rig something with a blank slot cover if you needed it. As indicated there is a slot next to the video card that won't have anything in it. I suppose that type of extra isn't included at this price point.

Other Thoughts: Download the latest driver when you install the card. The disk is useless, and what windows finds isn't much better.
Rebate procedure is particularly time consuming.

4 out of 5 eggsNice little card...but...

Pros: Card worked just fine out of the box. Didn't install off of the CD, went right to the manuf website and pulled the latest drivers. Everything was recognized right away. Plugged HDMI to my 0nkyo receiver and displayed video right away full 1080p. Took just a little bit for the audio to be recognized and had to manually set it to be my default audio but work with 7.1 channels of great sounding audio. Plays movies and tv shows with no problems. AVI, WMV, MPEG, MKV...works great.

Cons: After the audio started working I played a few MKV's through it and they worked fine. After I added more movies to my folder and tried to play them, the audio got flaky. All of a sudden everything but MKV's would play. Then I got an error message that it couldn't render the audio. Not a huge deal since I had a backup but doesn't look like this is going to be strictly an HDMI solution. I tried playing the MKV's in Zoom, VLC, WMP, and Boxee with the same results. I switch and went DVI - HDMI with a separate sound card and it works fine.

Other Thoughts: I knocked one egg off because of the audio issue but the video performance is great. I have this installed in an Optiplex 280 and works just fine. This only has a 275Watt power supply which could be the reason it couldn't render the audio..didn't have enough juice. Might also explain why I couldn't send the HDMI signal 88ft over my HDMI to Cat5e setup. Still a good card and I would buy it for this purpose again.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat, simple fun

Pros: Excellent and low wattage. Passive cooling is cool. There might be newer ones out but I like how I downgraded from an expensive video card but was still able to enjoy nice graphics for "light" gaming. Bought it last August and had it for almost a year now and it still works nicely.

Cons: Not that I know of.

Other Thoughts: Would buy again and actually did recently buy an onboard ATI 4200 video card (that's integrated for a custom motherboard). Not the same of course, as a 4200 is lower than a 4350, but seeing what it can do.
