5 out of 5 eggsNice Card for the Money

Pros: I wanted the 4890 Cyclones but I am glad I settled for two of these cards instead as I have a Antec Skeleton case and the MSI 4770 Cyclone fits perfect and brought my WEI up to 7.2
for both Graphics scores. Well Built card for the money
I also have a MSI Mother board I would buy again.

Cons: hot air will hangout inside case as their is no ducting not a problem with the massive heat sink.

5 out of 5 eggsEPIC Video Card on the Cheap

Pros: Recommended to me by a good friend. Runs silent and cool. Huge performance increase from my last video card (from Windows Exp Index rating of 6.8 to 7.2). Also this card holds a better frame rate in my PC games (at the same graphic settings as my previous card) I have yet to benchmark the card, but then again I forgot to write down my last Benchmark scores.

Cons: Not really a Con any more with modern Video Cards, but it does requires its own power connection (most new PSU have the PCI-E connector for this).

Other Thoughts: This Video card has a double thick bracket, taking up 2 bracket slots. Great for Air space inside of your Rig, More air space = more air is moving = better cooling. But it is bad if you are short on space in side of your case.

5 out of 5 eggsBang for Buck

Pros: I was very thorough with my homework on video cards before I bought it. It comes close to being bleeding edge at a fraction of the cost. The gpu is based on a 40 nm process, and it has the least power draw of any card with similarly high end levels of performance. The card feels very solid and well constructed. The fan is almost completely silent with only a few purs when the computer first starts up, which reassures me its still on. I was able to buy mine as a daily deal, so it made that much more sense.

Cons: The included MSI drivers were buggy, BUT the updated ATI drivers from ATI's site are well updated and well refined. This is hardly a con because you will need to update drivers for any card you purchase that's not already deprecated.

Other Thoughts: I'm very, very pleased with my decision. My homework paid off. Tom's Hardware Graphics Card Hierarchy Chart helped me analyze the choices to ascertain which card offered the most bang for my buck.

5 out of 5 eggsNice deal.

Pros: Nice price, cheaper than most Nvidia 9800GT when it on sale.Picked it up to replace MSI N9800GT-MD1G GeForce9800 GT 1G 256-bit GDDR3.Window 7 gives score 7.2 at desktop and gaming performance. At same system,9800GT only got 6.8 at both score.40 nm tech made it cool and efficient, less power consuption, core clock stay at 250MHz when it not gaming.Plug and download driver from AMD then play with Window 7.Overclock by ATI Overdrive without problem.Overall vary pleased.

Cons: Not a real con, effective memory clock is 800MHz,not 900MHz as MSI said.

Other Thoughts: Not a gamer, don't know how it play out at real game, but Window 7 giving higher score means something.Newegg always great,5 eggs!!!!!

2 out of 5 eggsNo deal is great enough if the card is not right

Pros: Great deal when it was bought. Pretty quick, and 40nm manufacturing makes it very power efficient.

Cons: Hangs my computers randomly. No amount of driver reinstallations and card reseatings have remedied this. The computer stuttered randomly for reasons unknown. Hardware issue suspected.

Other Thoughts: I wanted to like this card. I really did. It folded much faster than the 4670 that I planned to replace, and while the framerates for games rose only marginally, I knew that the bottleneck was the processor, not the video card.
Alas, I cannot keep an unstable card. I am going to try (groan) reinstalling the OS to see if that will help with anything, but I'm not holding my breath.

5 out of 5 eggsGood budget card

Pros: Good performance with moderate power consumption (TDP 80W).

Cons: Rather large fan almost requires three slots.

Other Thoughts: Tested running dual-head on Ubuntu Linux 9.10 (Karmic Koala) x86_64 on a M4A78-EM with a Phenom 9550. No problems at all. Just used Jockey to install the ATI fglrx drivers automatically. Tested UT2004, Doom3, Quake4, Prey, Alien Arena, and Open Arena. Generally max settings on everything. Didn't notice any artifacts or slow-downs.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Pleased

Pros: Easy, no fuss install. Everything recognized by PC.

HUGE upgrade in graphics performance from the integrated graphics. Went from needing to play games like Dragon Age and LOTRO on low settings to max settings

With the deal it was priced in the same range as a lower tier card.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Very pleased with the purchase, the fast shipping, and the great product.

Thanks Newegg

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic Card 40nm chip

Pros: 40nm chip based card from the HD5000 series (less DX11)
Low power consuption
High performance (my PC is noticeably FASTER loads images and programs 3X faster) compared with my not-so-bad-but-outdated previous card ATI X1650Pro (also 128bit and 512MB GDDR2 with 12 pixel shaders)
WEI went from 4.4/4.9 (Graphics/gaming graphics) to 5.9/5.9

GDDR5

Did I say it's fast?

Cons: No adaptors or XFire bridges

Other Thoughts: Best for overall FAST computing and occasional gaming (TF2, COD, CS)

4 out of 5 eggsGreat card for the price, runs smooth, minor install issues

Pros: - Runs all games on high smoothly with no issues
- Fits nicely in a mid tower
- Fan is not as loud as expected
- Big fan, good airflow
- High overclocking potential

Upgraded from Nvidia G100 (which can't handle smoke grenades in games 10 years old). Big improvement. MSI put their "Cyclone" fan on the card which is one of the biggest fans I have ever seen, but it keeps the thing cool and stable. Currently playing Dragon Age Origins, RA3 and COD4 all with no problems set on high. For the price you can't beat this card.

Cons: Minor issue - had to reboot about 5 times and uninstall/reinstall the driver until the card was recognized by Windows 7 64-bit.

Other Thoughts: Box contains card, driver cd and installation flyer. feels kinda empty and no cross-fire bridge.
