5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great video card, I have always enjoyed this card because it allowed me access to games that I couldn't enjoy before, such as World of Warcraft, Rift, AvA, and others somewhat demanding games. This card allows you to play them on sometimes higher settings depending on the game. For example, World of warcraft can be run on High and work perfectly fine. Comes with MSI Afterburner which is great to overclock if necessary. Does everything it says without the necessity of a upgraded power source. Okay Price, I have had this since 2010 and still works.

Cons: No fan... I would strongly suggest finding a card with a fan or unless you have good circulation because this card overheats on games and movies/videos. This isn't really its fault, it does not come with a fan and people should expect this. I have presonally a fan to cool it that I had to put, temperature stabilizes at around 70-85 depending on how demanding the program is (with my fan). Without the fan it will reach over 100 C if playing any videogame or video. There are upgraded versions of this card that you can look at if you want a fan or a little more memory.

Other Thoughts: Long lasting, very reliable under stress.

5 out of 5 eggsA good thing in a small package.

Pros: Needed a cheap low-profile video card that could do a smidge of 3D for a machine with only onboard graphics. This fit spectacularly: now that machine can handle a flat-panel display natively and play some low-end games.

Cons: None so far; it's been running for ~8 months with no issues.

Other Thoughts: Installed as part of an upgrade for an old office computer. You can make quite a difference in usability with a small amount of money.

5 out of 5 eggsGood low end graphics card

Pros: I've had this card for nearly a year now, and it is a great low profile card! Stock motherboard graphics are never enough, this is good to get a good screen resolution and play some games. It's a cheap card, and it runs cool, even though it doesn't have a fan. Very quiet, and for under $50!

Cons: Air cooled, but it seems to run cool, so not really a con

Other Thoughts: I put it in an old hp machine with a pentium dual core 2.6 processor, and 4gb of ram. Now I can have a good screen resolution and play some games on decent settings!

5 out of 5 eggsNo Problems

Pros: I've purchased 3 of these over the past several months & not had a problem with any of them.

They work fine for business/workstations or just to ditch onboard video.

Might be getting a little dated at this point.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works pretty nice, gives a good boost to my HTPC without adding any noise.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Slow rebate process. I have just realized that I haven't gotten my rebate from a form I mailed in early January. It is approved though...

3 out of 5 eggsNo More MSI

Pros: Works great right out of the box.

Cons: REBATE

Other Thoughts: As with other reviews , MSI rebates stink. They can't find my usps address. I live in a small midwest community that has no city delivery. The only way to get my mail is at a P.O. Box . Newegg found me to deliver the part. And others can find me to deliver parts & rebates but not MSI . They have lost a customer for all their parts . Does not matter how good or what price .

1 out of 5 eggsGot a dud

Pros: Cheap, fanless

Cons: Doesn't work

Other Thoughts: Takes about 10 seconds per character to draw each and every character one at a time on the BIOS post screen. It cost too little to bother with paying shipping to RMA it.

4 out of 5 eggsnvidia vdpau enabled

Pros: VDPAU works out of box with Ubuntu and XBMC Live. Watched 1080p video and play flawless. CPU was only at 6% or so.

HDMI audio(see comments below)

Cons: HDMI Audio doesn't work out of box in Ubuntu

Other Thoughts: Got that card crazy cheap cause of a rebate....well actually that rebate never came through...thanks MSI.

But the card is great, it deals with 1080 great because of vdpau. However, I couldn't get HDMI audio to work in Linux. I read some things say their wasn't drivers for it and there were work arounds to get two channels to work.

I instead went with Coaxial out on my motherboard, that way audio doesn't run through the TV so I can turn it off without losing audio and control XBMC through the web interface.

1 out of 5 eggsStill naively hoping to ever receive rebate

Pros: -

Cons: Terrible rebate program. Still have not received a check. I am never going to buy with mail in rebate from MSI again.
