5 out of 5 eggsGREAT GPU for the $

Pros: I have Owned this Video Card since March of 2010, I haave had it running on a 40 1080P monitor as my main PC Monitor, this is was one of the best cards I owned, great picture quality, performance for the price, I have been very happy with it.

Cons: NONE.

Other Thoughts: I had black borders on my screen but it was not the card to blame it was more User error since I only used the CD Rom that came with it, but once I downloaded the the drivers directly from ATI Catalyst which it happens to now be AMD, after doing this over six months ago I have nothing but good things to say about this Card, no black, borders no lag, GREAT PICTURE QUALITY!!! I am in the Process of building a new rig so I will post and Up date more if I happen to use the CrossfireX cappabilities on this card.

5 out of 5 eggsfreeze in .MKV files

Pros: it's work fine, DVD looks great, did not try Blu ray yet. I'm not a gamer, so can't say anything about it. I have 58 plasma, 1 inch black border did-not bother me much, but I will try to fix it the way it said in the previous review.

Cons: I got .mkv file, full HD video, it plays fine in the laptop, but my HTPC freeze from time to time, when the video have a lot of moving small objects, like ocean moving, ore bunch of birds flying, it froze for 5-10 seconds, audio is fine, but video cant keep up with a lot of details moving.

Other Thoughts: it is time for me to move onto ATI 6xxx video cards. with UVD3.

3 out of 5 eggs@Border on HDTV

Pros: Yes

Cons: Yes

Other Thoughts: Borders on HDTV is because the default underscan settings in the Catalyst Control Center.

Goto the Display properties (where it shows a blue monitor with a down arrow in the top-right corner), and click on that arrow. From there, you can set your underscan from the default 15% to 0, and get your full screen back!

1 out of 5 eggsBorder on HDTV

Pros: Cheap, assuming I receive my rebate someday. Quiet, good fit for media center PC.

Cons: When I hooked up my HDTV there was a large 1-2" black border around the image. After extensive research I found a "hack"-like solution to get closer to a full screen image at 1916x1080 resolution, and I can use my TV's controls to stretch those 4 missing columns out, but this is far from satisfactory.

Other Thoughts: You'd think a card ostensibly designed for HTPCs would be able to achieve a task as simple as driving a 1080p display through HDMI. I think I'll just go back to integrated graphics and return this thing if AMD doesn't fix this bug soon.

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet, basic graphics card.

Pros: Basic graphics card with no fans. Comes with some software to configure colors to match your specific monitor and an overclocking utility.

Cons: No straight HDMI connection (comes with adapter). No DirectX 11. Wasn't supposed to, just don't buy it thinking you'll have those features.

Other Thoughts: I didn't think it was that big, but I didn't try to install anything next to it.

5 out of 5 eggsGood for the Price

Pros: I bough this card when it was still 49.99 - ($25 rebate) and it was well worth the money. I just plugged it right in and it worked. Works well with HD movies. I haven't tried the HDMI but I will write another review when i hook it up to my tv. Plays my CS:S on pretty high setting smoothly.

Cons: None yet.

Other Thoughts: I got it when newegg had a deal... If you look thier could be a better deal now...I recommend this card for the price though.

Installed on this machine:

Intel e6750 2.66ghz
2gb ocz gold
200gb sata hdd
ga-p35-ds3l motherboard
coolermaster elite 330
500 watt coolermaster PSU

5 out of 5 eggsFits the Screen at 1080P

Pros: Excellent Quiet card, works great for HTPC

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: For those that cannot get this to fit the screen, this is an issue with the catalist drivers, and not the card. Its the same for my HD4850. You need to access the overscan settings in the CCC (Catalist control center). To access the Overscan option of your current display do the following:

Right click on the Desktop and open CCC
If your not already in Advanced Mode, Switch to this.
Click dropdown menu Graphics in the top right
Select Desktops and Displays
RIGHT CLICK your currently activated display under ‘Please Select a Display’ - this is the mini display on the bottom
Select Configure
Click on the Scaling Options tab
From this menu you’ll probably find more of your favorite CCC options that you’ve been missing. For reference these instructions come from a Windows 7 machine with a Sapphire ATi Radeon 4850 running Catalyst Control Center 9.9
