5 out of 5 eggsSmall Cool Silent

Pros: This card is compatible with PCIe x16. It clocks the memory down to 400mhz but it works. Card was plug and play for me and I let Windows 7 update install the driver. Card is TINY as the heat sink extends about 1 inch downward and the card itself is small enough for one of the micro atx cases no prob. Idles at 37C so far. I like the fan-less nature of this as well.

Cons: I just installed it so I will update if something bad happens.

Other Thoughts: replaced a "lifetime warranty" BFG 6600 gt. This card was an X16 native card but performed similarly despite higher clock and faster DDR3 memory - albeit only 128mb of it. I wold consider recommending this to anyone who needs a cheap card to watch movies, surf, and play mild games like Anno and Sim City.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: Easy to install.

Cons: Did not work. Tried every way I could think of to load drivers and all I ever got was a blank screen after boot. System is a Dell E520 with Duo-Core processor, 4 gigs RAM and a 305 watt power supply. Was trying to upgrade from a NVidia 7300LE since I bought a 23" LCD monitor to replace a 19" analog monitor.

Sent back for a refund. Put the 7300LE back in and will start saving for a new system with a more powerful video in it.

5 out of 5 eggsGood budget card

Pros: Works flawlessly with both Windows 7 and Linux (both 64-bit). Streaming HD video is probably the most GPU intensive thing I use this card for, and it handles it very well.

Cons: None so far.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great

Pros: Works just like it should. Fanless design is silent, and temperatures have never been a problem. I have a HAF 922 case with a 200mm side fan blowing on the card and my mb, so I'm sure that helps. Dual-monitor support works great. Installed fine on Win7-64bit.

Cons: Not a very high-end card, but it's not bad. Would be more than enough for the average user. I don't play any top of the line games with it, but a few games I play the performance is a little sluggish at 1920x1080 resolution--I have to decrease some of the video settings to get decent performance at this resolution, but it's really not bad for the price.

Other Thoughts: Mine came with the large silver-colored heatsink everyone else is talking about, not the black one shown in the picture. I have plenty of room on my mb, so it's no big deal to me, but just be aware that you might not get what is pictured.

If you don't have adequate air flow in your case, you could experience elevated temps, but I haven't had a problem at all.

5 out of 5 eggsGave me a DVI hookup

Pros: Installed in a Dell E521 Vista 32, that only had a VGA out of the motherboard.
Easy to install, my new flat screen images are now perfect with the DVI.
The included software driver works perfect.

Cons: none so far,

Other Thoughts: computer is not used for gaming, just wanted that clear digital image on a new HP flatscreen.
The card supplied does have a silver heatsink, not the black one shown on newegg, but no problem with space.

5 out of 5 eggsOK for office work

Pros: Worked fine as a replacement for an older 7300GT card. Not much difference between the two.

Cons: "Requires" PCI-E x16 2.0. These are supposed to be backward compatible but the firmware doesn't appear to allow for this to be under-clocked. That isn't what the spec says MSI! Chroma a bit muted requiring adjustment - sort of a first for me.

Other Thoughts: Quiet since there is no fan. Setup was easy. Ordered one morning and showed at the door the next afternoon! New Jersey to Maryland in 28 hrs.

3 out of 5 eggsBasic video card

Pros: Supports DX 10, so brings some decent functionality with it. Dammed good HD playback. I was able to overclock the core to 600 Mhz and memory to 400 Mhz without any problems using the MSI "Afterburner" software. Combined with a Phenom II, video playback does not stutter at all.

Cons: MASSIVE heatsink takes up nearly two PCI slots. Windows Experience rating = 3.8 out of 7.9 (and that is with overclocking).

Other Thoughts: Please realize this is a 3-yr old video card design, and by computer terms, that is an old design. I mostly do office work and video editing so this card is fine for that. If you are looking to save a few dollars, you may just as well go with a motherboard that has built-in video. This IS NOT a gaming video card by any stretch of the imagination.

5 out of 5 eggsEverything a cheap card should be

Pros: This card was by far the best performance for value I could find. The passive cooling won't add any extra sound to your case.

Cons: Cheap card, so not going to be the best at hardcore games, but your not looking at this card for that anyway are you?

Other Thoughts: Bought this card for two store bought computers that didn't come with a video card. Immediate improvements as expected. Easy to install. Quality build. Can be used in low profile cases with no problem.
Perfect for a simple upgrade from MOBO graphics for someone that doesn't need hardcore games.

4 out of 5 eggsGood for the Price

Pros: Inexpensive, quiet (no fan), runs fairly cool, dual monitor, can be overclocked and tweaked, reasonably fast for what it is. Worked under Vista 32 and Ubuntu 10.10 64 bit dual boot without a hiccup.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I don't game, so no thoughts there.

It runs about 44C on average in my dual monitor setup under Ubuntu with no special case cooling.

I've only played with the O/C settings briefly so I may be able to get more out of it if I wanted, but I have it overclocked under Vista from the stock core of 567 to 653, and mem clock to of 400 to 426. It's still sits at 44C under normal use. Highest I've seen it so far is low 50s.

There must be different production runs of these cards. I see others complaining about huge heat sinks but mine is as pictured by Newegg.
