3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Well it ran great, I loved being abel to max my graphics settings on all games.

Cons: It always ran WAY TOO HOT. I will agree with everyone on that.

Other Thoughts: Well, unlike some people my card didn't even last a year. I purchased this card going from a HD 5750 by Asus(which is still working) to this expecting better results than what I got. It does the now common Code 43 error like most nvida cards have done lately. But, this for sure ended me ever buying anything MSI again. I think i'll still to EVGA from now on for Nvida cards. And even MSI's motherboards can go in the junk pile too.

4 out of 5 eggsBeastly

Pros: Will handle anything you throw it. It's a beast.

Cons: HOT. VOLCANO HOT. I just picked up a Radeon 6870 to run some tests on eyefinity. That card runs everything with equal quality at the same settings that this guy does, but it does it consistantly 20 degrees celcius cooler. TWENTY.

5 out of 5 eggsNo longer maters

Pros: Have had this card for well over a year. Was able to max settings on bad company 2, and manage high settings in Starcraft II (Though I think that is more because of my processor holding it back). Video card has run very stable, and is quiet.
Currently running:
Q6600 2.4Ghz
EVGA 790i F T W
MSI 470GTX
8GB OCZ DDR3 1600mhz
Corsair 850 Watt PSU
Creative X-fi Xtreme music Sound card

Cons: No longer sold to try in SLI down the road...

Other Thoughts: Great card and a definite upgrade over my 8800 GTX which will rest at the bottom of the ocean. Card no longer sold, but been very happy now with an MSI motherboard (Also now at the bottom of the ocean thanks to a lightning strike) and this MSI video card. MSI getting some positive attention from me and my friends who I build PC's for.

5 out of 5 eggsFlawless

Pros: Runs everything I throw at it and at the highest settings.

Cons: Runs a little hot. But not terrible. It's sitting in a Cooler Master Sniper case, so maybe that helps it a bit.

Other Thoughts: Bought this on Black Friday for a great price and receiving the rebate made it even better.

Received my rebate in a timely manner. No complaints there either. Just make sure you look through your emails from Newegg. The receipt I sent in was an email titled Newegg.com - Invoice.

1 out of 5 eggsMSI sucks

Pros: Works in SLI
Doubles as a space heater

Cons: Card runs much hotter than my Galaxy GTX 470 GC. The company also refuses to honor rebates whereas Galaxy would bend over backwards to help end users. Card also seems to have some stability issues in SLI, it runs at 1.000v stock which is rather high compared to other GTX 470s.

Other Thoughts: I am never going to buy another MSI product again.

1 out of 5 eggsSo so card, bad company

Pros: It works, and it is pretty fast.
Cheap.

Cons: Hot, good lord you definitely have to set a custom fan profile for this card with Afterburner. The default profile while quiet just does not handle the heat this thing puts out. You have to decide what you want really loud but cool 48-67 C(custom fan profile) or kinda loud and hot 67-87 C(default fan profile).

Bought this card on sale back in August for $269 with a $30 rebate. I sent it in and it was denied. MSI said that I did not send in the appropriate invoice with an order number. Yeah, I sent in what Newegg sent in the box. After a bit of Google searching I found out that MSI has been doing this for quite some time to their customers. Well, what can you do, maybe I'll try to redeem my voucher for a free game from Capcom. Wait I can't because the voucher expired June 30, 2010 and I purchased the card in August.

Other Thoughts: This will be my last MSI purchase no matter how cheap they get. Next time I'll spend a little more for an Asus, Gigabyte, or Evga video card.

I'm off to replace this space heater with 2 Asus 6850s.

4 out of 5 eggsLoud but Awesome

Pros: - extremely powerful
- price point is excellent
- sli performance is superb

Cons: - fan is extremely loud starting around 75%. Two of these in sli at around 90% fan speeds are unbearably loud.

Other Thoughts: Well worth the price for performance. I've been using them around 3 months and love them to death. Have been able to max out any game I've thrown at it as of now (including super smooth FF14 even at max). Running with x6 1090t

5 out of 5 eggsMSI+GIGABYTE

Pros: SLI IS GREAT ,AT STOCK SPEC RUN COOLER THAN ONE CARD, OVERCLOCK CORE 733, OVERVOLT 1025, NEVER HITS OVER 80C,BEST FOR TEMP AND PERFORMANCE!! [MAX CORE CLOCK 774,OVERVOLT 1087,LOUD AND HOT ,90C AT 100 PERCENT FAN. NICE TO KNOW YOU HAVE RESERVE IN THE TANK.

Cons: READ MY REVIEW IN THE GIGABYTE GV-N470D5-13I-B GeForce GTX 470 (Fermi) 1280MB 320-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card REVIEW ,SWEET SPOT .

5 out of 5 eggsAwsome card

Pros: First off I was a little worried about the temps everyone was talking about but let me assure you if you have the slightest clue you will set MSI afterburner fan to match the temps and guess what? my card never goes over 70c with the fan at 70%. Fan is not near as loud as people mentioned although it isn't quiet at 70% just what you would expect from a Beastly card.

Cons: No cons I can think of really, long as it last me a good while =)

Other Thoughts: This card is a great buy honestly if you use the fan right it can OC to 480 speeds ( not that its needed atm ).
super high quality card. If you are debating on this card as of 12/7/2010 make sure to check out the price of the 570 when it comes out, that would be the only card id consider in the price range, but this one should be a nice bit lower by then.

5 out of 5 eggsBuy It Already

Pros: - Blistering Fast; upgraded from a 9800gtx that had a massive overclock.
- Does not run as hot as people make it seem. Unless you are running FAH or absolutely crushing it with some other program, you aren't going to push it to extreme temps. I've been playing a variety of games maxed out with stock clocks (WoW, Crysis, Far Cry 2, etc), and this thing has not pushed over 83c, which is well within the operating range for this card.
- Does not make my case full of fans much louder

Cons: - Draws a lot of power under load, but if you bought this, you probably aren't too concerned. Just be sure you have a sufficient power supply to handle the card.

Other Thoughts: Bought this during Black Friday for $214 with a $40 MIR, however the MIR was nowhere to be found within the box. Won't deduct for that, but it is slightly annoying. Have a 23" 1080p 3D monitor on the way, and it should be interesting to see how this card will handle the extra load. I have a feeling it's going to require another card to run as smooth as I want it to.
