5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It's a Gtx 480 with MSI's name on it.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Nearly three years after purchasing this product, artifacts unfortunately showed up. MSI kindly accepted an RMA for replacement.
Thank you MSI!

5 out of 5 eggsAwsome card

Pros: Very powerful to this very day, was able to run The witcher 2 on ultra at 50 frames and all other games like battlefield 3 on ultra 60 frames sometimes dropping to 50-55. IT just amazes me that it has surived this long, very impressed.

Cons: does run hot and loud. Heat is not really an issue but if you are against a noisy computer this card probably isnt your style.

Other Thoughts: Good Card

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card, No problems.

Pros: Runs all games on high that I throw at it with great fps in the process. Amazing card overall.

Cons: As with all cards of this series, it can run hot when taxed for long periods of time. Mine stays steady though.

Other Thoughts: I run this card with MSi Afterburner and Fan Speed set at 80% at all times, it helps with temps. My card never reaches over 85 degrees Celsius in full combat of say, Battlefield 3. Love this card.

3 out of 5 eggsoverheats

Pros: Games look great. Fantastic frame rates. Vibrant colors.

Cons: Overheats. Runs hot.

Other Thoughts: This card always ran hot. Now, over time, it is not unusual for it's temps to rocket to 109 degrees c or more. Followed by crash and shutdown... Hottest card I have ever owned. My previous card ran 30 degrees cooler on average.

5 out of 5 eggsWinning Card, Now Retired

Pros: This card, when treated right, can last you miles of life. To this day it has not had trouble rendering the toughest that PC games have to throw at it, minus of course Battlefield 3 in Ultra Settings at 120hz and perhaps a few other extremes. But ultimately, this little card is a power-house of DX11 capable pleasure. A dime from when S3D was still in the crib and when DX11 was in it's toddler years, but it grew with these features as they did, guiding them into their teenage years and how we know them now. Essentially, for it's manufacturers date it is the most capable card I've owned. Full DX11 support, handles Tessellation like a pro, and has full S3D support. In the immortal words of Charlie Sheen playing Black Ops, "Winning!"

Cons: The only cons to this card is it is no longer manufactured, primarily due to it's ability to compete with (and beat out) many modern cards.

Other Thoughts: If you can find a used one and you are still stuck in the 2xx's/HD4xxx's and below. Try it out, it is likely you will inherit a gem that had much more life to give but was replace by new top end cards.

4 out of 5 eggs2nd times a charm

Pros: FREAKING AWESOME! 300 dollars!

Cons: first one had artifacts. had to send it back. cost 16 bucks to ship it back. looked dirty too? maybe it was returned before? the MSI card runs hotter than the EVGA one i have.

Other Thoughts: have two 480gtx's running SLI on a P67A-UD7-B3 gigabyte board.........mmmmmhhhhhh sprinkles. I will be switching the cards around to see if the temps change.

5 out of 5 eggsGTX 480

Pros: For the pros I must say, powerful.
Runs every game at max settings except for crysis which is expected as that game has poor coding. But anything else it handles with ease. But i do notice i dont get very high fps most games run at 80fps but never drop below 60 fps. As for crysis 2 runs with ease.

Cons: 1. Power hungry
2. Heat ( well never goes further past 77c )

Other Thoughts: MSI products are amazing I love the military class components.
The card looks cool especially the heat pipes.
Lighter than I thought it would be.
You need a beefy cpu to take advantage of this monster (phenom 3.8ghz).
The card has a stable framerate no huge drops.
1.5 gigs of ram
480 cuda cores
Great drivers
NewEgg of course...Amazing!!!! With sending me this card

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: Great card! I don't know why so many people complain about the heat on this card. Probably they just leave the fan on "Auto" and expect it to do everything. I use MSI Afterburner, and do not over clock the card. The only thing I ever adjust is move the fan up to about 65-70% while gaming, and the card never breaks 55*, then just leave it on auto when just surfing the internet.

Cons: Took me a little while to figure out how to get sound from the mini-hdmi on my hd tv. Turns out I just needed to adjust the settings on my computer, and it's not automatic.

Other Thoughts: Overall great card - highly recommended, I'm considering buying a 2nd one for SLI, but probably won't just because it would be overkill, and I can think of better ways to dump $400 on something I don't need
