1 out of 5 eggsFailed within the first 4 weeks

Pros: Worked fine for a couple weeks.

Newegg is great about returns!

Cons: Catastrophically failed on the fourth week of ownership. I can only run my comp in safe mode now, with streaky lines all over the screen. This is happening with the newest nvidia drivers installed. The error I got was "Nvidia Kernel Mode drive fail". Seriously look that error up, people are reporting it all over the place. None of the forums seem to provide any solutions, including the Nvida support forum.

Other Thoughts: Dont cheap out with MSI, get a real brand...

5 out of 5 eggsNo complaints here...

Pros: Great card, easy install(case needs to be fairly deep), Amazing performance over my old gtx280. lowest avg fps I get is in the 30s playing crysis on ultra. Comes with msi afterburner software which is a great utility for fan speeds, overclocking, monitoring, etc.

Cons: Gets noisy and can heat up after long sessions(hours and hours). I have never seen it get critically hot after using it for 6 months or so.

Other Thoughts: Tons of cheaper better cards, but none look this cool!

3 out of 5 eggsnot happy

Pros: fast as a single card but not fast enough to play games like metro2033 and crysis on 2560x1600 resolution on my 30in dell.

Cons: not fast enough as a single card solution.
lots and lots of heat.
terrible sli heat sing design with worthless soft cushion strip on top of card which gets in the way of the fan in the card on top of it especially when you start playing and the cards heat up and the strip expands. I had to remove it so it doesn't go in the fan and make my own custom support to keep the cards in place for sli with the AC blowing next to my pc inorder to keep the heat levels down.

Other Thoughts: If I knew all the issues I would have with these cards I would of never bought them considering I payed almost $1,000 for three and I actually had to remove design flaws and make my own custom supports. The heat from three is just too much!

5 out of 5 eggsDear techsaint great card

Pros: Great one of the best cooled gtx 480's made. All this card is is a reference pcb GTX 480 with a non reference super cooler. You do realize that this GTX 480 is made in the same factory as EVGA, Palit, and Sparkle etc.... All MSI does is put a different cooler on the card. I find it hard to believe 3 VGA cards failed and the problem is not your PSU or some other issue with your system. The chances of three cards failing in a row are astronomical .

Cons: None great card looks like a work of art.

Other Thoughts: Check your power supply and wall power delivery system.

1 out of 5 eggsMSI=FAIL!

Pros: None. They replaced two of my video cards for the 3rd time! The replacement cards are already DEAD after a month and a half!

Cons: Average lifetime of an MSI product is 3 months. MSI will keep you in an endless loop of shipping dead products back to them on your money and send you refurbs that will last up to 3 months just so they can say they honored their warranty.

Other Thoughts: I am an owner of several custom computer shops; We stopped carrying MSI products years ago but are still stuck dealing with them because of the hundreds of clients we are RMAing for and the MSI endless RMA loop.

4 out of 5 eggsGood to go!

Pros: Good card, handles graphics very well. Nice pick for any mid to mid-high gamer PC.

Cons: Loud. It is quiet when you are just browsing and messing around on the net; however, when you push it even when running the Nvidia Sled demo that comes with the card it gets loud.

Heat is sort of an issue I have seen it get into the low 70 C's with just playing the demo game, but I have no fans pointed directly at it. So of course for SLI I would recommend direct fan air flow.

Other Thoughts: I am thinking of buying two for an SLI set up. I am very happy with this card. For the most you can't go wrong with this card. The reason why I give it four eggs is just because it is loud. If there was a 4.999 egg option, that's what I would give it.

5 out of 5 eggsOutstanding performance

Pros: The Card runs cool and quiet and and runs games at max settings at 1920 x 1080 very nicely indeed.

I've not over clocked it as I have been very please with it right out of the box. I can play games for hours on max settings and my GPU is running at 52 degrees and thats will stock fan settings.

This just means when and if it's over clocked there is potential for further performance that isn't currently needed at 1920 x 1080

Cons: None so far with the hardware, MSI rebate requires the receipt and not a copy of a receipt.

Other Thoughts: Have this on a Rampage 3 Formula with a I7950 CPU in a HAF 932 case with out stock fans. It is quiet enough I hear my hard drive. and while writing this the Video card is 35 degrees.

Nice, very nice indeed. So nice this one will soon have a twin next to it for SLI and higher resolutions and multi monitor configurations. Quiet, Cool, powerful!

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing card, no doubt

Pros: This card is just amazing in itself. The design just looks beast, the heatsinks and fans work to perfection, and this thing runs ANYTHING you throw at it with AA at 32. Sweet card to overclock; I got mine to somewhere around 880 before I had to start messing with voltages. The fans get pretty audible when they're set to 100%, but run about as loud as the rest of the case when it's right around 70%, which is plenty cool enough (all of my fans are coolermaster, so they're quite quiet). Handles DX11 like a dream, much better than the ATI cards, but suffer in the floating point compilation area. Either way, either card, you get what you pay for.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: This is an amazing card, no matter what anybody says. The architectural design is flawless, fits nearly any colour scheme due to its solid colour and lack of decals, and runs cool to boot (obviously, it IS called the Frozr for a reason). I wouldn't put too much stock into the reviews of people who aren't even verified owners; mostly likely an ATI fanboy or competitor voicing their ignorance. I wish newegg would disallow reviews from people who don't buy directly from the site.

1 out of 5 eggsBad batch of Fermi chips

Pros: My problem is not with the card; my problem is the nvidia chip on the card I received. The card is beautiful-I actually spend a few minutes just admiring the stock heatsink on this thing. It did run cool when it ran, and the noise wasn't too bad for my taste. During the brief time I was able to actually use the card without it crashing I was really impressed. Crysis Warhead 64bit @ 1680by1050, 16AA, completely maxed out and I got around 30-40 frames. Dirt 2, 16AA, maxed out and 80-110 frames. It ran everything I could throw at it, but only when it ran.

Cons: Alright here we go. Lockups. I've had lockups just as soon as Windows 7 loads, while my machine was POSTing, while playing games, just overall completely unusable and instable. I'm far from being the only one going through this as the official nvidia forums have a ton of post concerning this. Different brands of 400 series cards, different PSUs, motherboards etc, it all comes back to it all starting after they bought a faulty nvidia Fermi chip based product.

Other Thoughts: I'm in the process of sending my card in for a replacement. That bit when it worked was more than enough to make me take another shot with Fermi chips. I just hope I don't get another faulty one.
