3 out of 5 eggsRebate is Lies

Pros: Great card, ran everything I threw at it.

Cons: Never got said "rebate" which is the only reason I chose this card in the first place.

Manufacturer Response:

5 out of 5 eggsI use these in Crossfire

Pros: Finally, a quiet fan GPU. Both installed and running are actually lower than 3 of my 4 CPU. 1st (primary card) is ~35 C idle and the 2nd (used in crossfire, not connected to display) is idle at 33 C.

Uningine score is 1263 for my hardware with these in crossfire. Highest settings allowed as far as I know for that benchmark.

Will add more information as these age.

Cons: Not in crossfire mode Uningine score was 263 (the max FPS was lower than min FPS in crossfire). Also highest settings (the same I used for single card mode) for that benchmark.

For whatever reason, opengl wouldn't work properly in Uningine. I'll have to make sure that isn't the case with other opengl programs.

Other Thoughts: These seem to work better in crossfire at all times temp wise than when not. As long as I don't run into a program that dislikes them being crossfire enabled I won't turn it off.

I'm not sure there is any way to get rid of all the jaggy edges on textures with any ATI card. If there is I've yet to find the setting over the past 7+ years using various ones.

Not going to mess with the $10 mail in rebate(s).

3 out of 5 eggsDrivers Suck

Pros: Looked good, never got hot, quiet, and cheap... Possibly the best card you can get for the price. It played my games on Ultra settings...

Cons: It must be the drivers... On every 3D game I'd play it would hang randomly a little while into the game for a few seconds, the screen would go black, and then it would return to normal. Then, in the system tray, it would say something about the display drivers have recovered from a failure. It got enough power, never went over 50 degrees C, drivers were the latest, and my cpu wasn't bottlenecking anything nor my ram. I read around and apparently there were some others who had issues with ATI drivers. I even tried lower resolutions and details. As a last resort, I tried overclocking to see if it would help and it was to no avail.

Other Thoughts: Instead of taking a chance on another card, I bought a Asus GTS450 instead... the only big difference now is that it never crashes in games. Costed me a few more bucks but its worth it. Sticking with Nvidia cards now, at least until ATI/AMD develops better drivers. I wanted to take advantage of my AMD chipset and AMD fusion but I'd rather have stable drivers.

For anyone wanting a card for better performance in games, go with something a little more expensive.

4 out of 5 eggsNot right

Pros: Good card Low price....

Cons: RMA

Other Thoughts: GDDR5 "Memory" is Multiplied by 4 not 5... 950 mhz x 4 is 3800mhz 1010 x 4 is 4040 mhz which the memory clock is suppsed to run @ factory oc specs... just to clear that up :)

5 out of 5 eggs*corrections*

Pros: Awesome card.Have had a prior version for over a year now and this card is never ever missed a beat-through many abuses too.I am running mine @ 1050/1270 with no volt mods-just added some VRM coolers. All while silent!
*Note to previous reviewers*
This card uses GDDR5 memory. That means it shows as 800MHz-which is then multiplied by 5.Which equals 4000MHz.Be a shame if someone purchased an inferior product than this just because you don't know what you are doing. Enjoy!

Cons: none

1 out of 5 eggsCards not OC'ed RMA coming

Pros: Good Card i suppose but i wouldnt know its full potential it came with Core mhz OC'ed to 800mhz But not the memory underclocked actually to 950mhz when everywhere i go it says that stock memory clock on this card is 1000mhz or 4040mhz for the oc edition and you cant OC it or it will Hang and lockup

Cons: RMA card sending back because of OC problems not the right OC must have began OC'ing this and then stopped haha..
Maybe they have the wrong bios.. who knows would really like some help with this....

Other Thoughts: Now i gotta wait another 3 weeks before i get my card back probably looks like ill be playing lots of 360 till then..Wish MSI Support was a little bit better and had people who actually cared and wanted to help me with this card they just tell me to send the card back after 30 minutes of being put on hold no tech support no troubleshooting nothing they didnt even know what card it was when i gave them the numbers.Pretty angry with msi might not even get the same card might pay the extra money and get a different brand if someone doesnt help me soon.

5 out of 5 eggsI'm in love

Pros: Love it, can play anything I throw at it. Oblivion, Bioshock, Champions Online - you name it, I can play it.

Cons: Had to purchase a dvi/vga converter cable for my old(er) monitor, but I found that for pretty cheap.

Other Thoughts: I would absolutely recommend for a first build. Was mine, and I love it.

4 out of 5 eggsNot really overclocked

Pros: Great card for the price works well on most of my games maxed out 1080p reso (ie: Two worlds 2) Very happy upgrading from ati hd 4200 onboard to this.

Cons: Specs on here say the effective memory clock is @ 1010mhz when actually its 950mhz and when you oc it to say about 1000mhz games hang and freeze the whole PC.Really wish newegg would get there specs right sometimes.

Didnt come with a game say like Dirt 2 lol.

Other Thoughts: This card is a perfect upgrade for someone on a budget looking to really upgrade there grafx from lowend at the moment not good for long term use seeing as how grafx and games are advancing eveyrday this card will be nothing in about 2 years maybe 1.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent ATI card for the price!

Pros: Excellent and FAST MSI video card at 1 GB of GDDR5 video ram for under $100. Installs easily, although it takes up two slots. My WEI rating for both graphics columns are a 7.0. Picture is excellent connected to my 40" Samsung via HDMI when watching UFC fights and such.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: This card is excellent especially when you use it with an AMD motherboard like mine since ATI video cards utilize AMD chipsets to the fullest. MSI also includes on its Driver disk some software for overclocking the card (which it is OC ready) called Afterburner.
