Cons: Terrible, horizontal lines across the screen, unstable in almost any benchmark test even @ stock speeds. Crazy flickering lines up and down the screen. Try scrolling page if you find a long documentary text or anything that needs scrolling reading. I bought it somewhere else because Newegg was out of stock. Can't say were because Newegg won't let me submit. For those of you hoped that 10.12 driver fixed everything. I got news for you - It did NOT. So if you want to wait till AMD 10.20 driver solution keep waiting. As for me $269 for this GPU is a waste. Other Thoughts: Very upsetting especially if you're a gamer, but even if not and video editing is your thing all I got to say is good luck. Unless you like working with flickering videos or horizontal lines interference. Even if It is random. It's my second 6870 replacement GPU with same problem. First I ordered Gigabyte 6870 on Newegg and now I got myself MSI. This time I think I am going to send it back for good. It is very quiet and the MSI afterburner software works great. Overall I am pretty happy with the card. Cons: They still do not have very stable drivers it seems. I am sure it will be better when the 6900 series is released. I get crazy artifacts and weird flickering when first starting any games that goes away within 2 minutes or so. Weird? Great out of the box tools for overclocking and other configurations, runs excellent with any game or software tool I throw at it. Excellent looking, very VERY quiet. Cons: Quite powerful, I haven't checked specifically but I'm sure it has to be sucking down a good chunk of the power my supply is feeding it. ALOT of bang for your buck. It's a must buy if you are in the market for a new video card! Cons: None. Other Thoughts: Cannot be compared to the older 5770 like alot of people say. Alot of reasaons for that one that is important is that this card is s 256-Bit, not 128-bit interface like the 5770. AMD has not even released an actual driver that fully supports the 6800 series. That's something to keep in mind when reading the reviews on line. Tests are being run with drivers that don't fully support the card and it still performs great. Buy it! Cons: Stopped working after one week. $3000 new system built all AA parts, not sure if Newegg sent me defective card however after one week I started getting "artifacts" "gitches" etc. Support from MSI says to try the card on another machine. Yeah. Will contact NewEgg only for a refund. Other Thoughts: Didn't expect to have problems with ATI but issues with other cards and drivers are common. Should get a NVIDIA instead. ATI never again. Order by mails also was my last time. Not sure this as a sealed product. Plays Supreme Commander 2 and Starcraft well. I game on a 28" monitor at 1900x1200 resolution. A lot of research went into this purchase as I wanted a good upgrade/replacement for my 8800 GT. Faster than the 5850 I had been thinking about for most of 2010. Also, I had an MSI 8800GT for the last 2.5 years and no hiccups. Cons: None so far. Other Thoughts: The reviews/specs on this card are good. I agonized over this or spending more on either a GTX470 or 5870. So far so good ;) Did you find this review helpful?
