4 out of 5 eggsNot so disappointed any more ;-}

Pros: Works well after initial headaches. (apparently NOT the card's fault) Good price/performance ratio, appears solidly and efficiently constructed, matches my asus motherboard (trivial, I know) Again WEI went from 3.4 to 7.3 (graphics only) Ultimately, now that the pain has passed, I'm very pleased

Cons: I thought this card fried my stable, reliable ASUS/AMD box..
Saved it by replacing my bios for $16. Works fine now so I suspect the software

Other Thoughts: I felt obligated to print a retraction as the hardware seems fine now. I see MSI has taken a few back via RMA (perhaps a little too early) We'll never know for sure, but I strongly suspect the MSI "live update" software. I deleted that and the msi drivers (just in case, they seemed to be working) and went with the latest catalyst driver and all is well at the moment. (Failed to load the hdmi audio driver but that's not an issue for me at this time. Maybe it didn't load as it didn't detect an hdmi connection or device)

1 out of 5 eggsreally disappointed

Pros: Worked great at first, brought the windows experience index from a 3.4 to a 5.9 on my asus box with m785g mobo with 8gb of corsair ram. Newegg's shipping and customer service was fine as usual.

Cons: Turned my rock solid box into scrap.. Started shutting off then not starting up. Would power up but never boot into bios. Removed the card and was able to recover. Did this a couple times (foolishly) hoping I could get the right driver, etc. MSI driver worked at first, installing the amd/ati catalyst driver finally killed it. Now can't even get into bios with card removed.

Other Thoughts: Tried too long to fix it, 30 days are up now so can't expect any help from newegg. I have to see what MSI will do for me. Won't matter much if I have to start from scratch. I've stuck by ati for years in spite of their never getting their drivers right.. Feels like a big mistake at this point

4 out of 5 eggsCan't beat ir for the price

Pros: It plays modern games acceptably and is short enough for smaller cases. It has DVI, HDMI, and VGA ports. The fan is quieter than I expected and it added no perceivable extra noise to my set up. MSI Control Center allows easy overclocking, temperature monitoring, and fan speed control. The MSI software allows you to record in game demos in whatever video format you choose. I bought this card for my work computer so I could do a little gaming at the office when it's slow. Borderlands2, COD3, Painkiller, etc all play just fine at acceptable frame rates at 1280x720 and most of the settings on high.

Cons: Not CrossfireX compatible. Problematic Drivers. In my entire PC gaming history, I have never known ATI to be able to write problem-free drivers. I had high hopes when AMD bought ATI. I was wrong. No catalyst driver for this card was without side-effects (laggy mouse, random crashes, 3D artifacts etc etc etc) in WXP32 for my machine. It was beyond time to upgrade my operating system anyway so W7U64 is on it now and the current catalyst driver seems to be working so far.

Other Thoughts: My system is an AMD1055t on an 880g board with 4 gb DDr3. The onboard HD4250 isn't much and not very useful for running any 3D games made in the last decade. This card made a huge difference for 3D applications. And the price: As of the time I'm writing this there really isn't another sub-100 dollar card on the market that compares. If you want to game and need to keep the price under a hundred bucks, this is not just the best choice, but really the only choice. Even considering the driver problems I had, I would buy this card again.

5 out of 5 eggsYes. Simply, yes.

Pros: -Runs Skyrim at almost totally maxed out settings at around 30-50 FPS.
-Stays cool while gaming.
-Doesn't break the bank at $80.
-Doesn't sound like an airplane prop spinning up when its under load.

Cons: None so far.
Although I was a bit disappointed that it didn't come with a case badge, I can't really call that a con, or say its worth removing an egg.
I mean... its a sticker. No big deal.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent GPU

Pros: Cheap
Runs most game's a max settings with acceptable FPS
Easy to overclock
Quiet at stock settings
50C max temp on stock settings
Able to adjust the voltage in the latest version of MSI Afterburner.

Cons: Loud at max fan speed(you won't need it more than 40% unless you overclock it)
Not even close to the other 6770's on the market but it's only $80 so it's expected.
Fan isn't adequate to keep it cool when you overclock it.

Other Thoughts: Benchmarks:
3DMark11 Graphics
Stock: 2388
Max Overclock: 2761 (1.3V, 960 MHz Core, 1225 MHz Memory maxes out around 85C acceptable but not ideal)

You get a pretty good increase from stock performance when you push it to its limits but still nothing compared to some of the slightly more expensive GPUs especially if you shop around and catch one of them at a low price like the 6850's when they were $100 last month.

4 out of 5 eggsMSI R6770

Pros: Great Price, Not hard on the MB, lightweight, 6pin power connector , Msi brand,128-bit bus, able cooler, 4pin pwm fan. Surprisingly good performer In games, and 3d modeling software. VGA, HDMI, And DVI

Cons: Odd overheating issue the first day of use, but It is now resolved, not the reason I removed an egg.
Took A while to arrive on my doorstep, but its all right.
Cannot be overvolted. Did not with stability reach my overclocking goal of 980.

Other Thoughts: In my humble opinion, I find this card to definitely be a steal for the price. It performs good in today titles actually and It runs generally cool while doing it. I would just wish for the ability to change the voltage, and overclock further doing so, but Is a good, well-rounded card.

4 out of 5 eggsPerfect budget card

Pros: Works great as a budget gaming card on my budget gaming computer. Have had a wonderful time on my 1280x1024 monitor running Crysis 1 & 2 and Far Cry 2 very smoothly at maximum settings. Minecraft is, of course, just lovely, along with all the valve games.

Cons: The rebate process marred an otherwise great experience with the MSI brand. While I understand that rebate processing centers are under pressure to deny as many claims as possible, I am 100% certain that I included the invoice, so I'm not sure why they denied my claim based on a missing invoice. I am resubmitting with a printout of the newegg invoice, as I already mailed the original, hopefully they'll stop playing games at that point.
