Adequate for most general computer requirements. Cons: If you are cramped for adjacent PCI slot space on your Mother Board, you may encounter a problem due to the width of the cooler on this video card Other Thoughts: This was used for a build for my daughter and grand daughters computer primarily for school work and some light office along with Facebook and Youtube. Raised the Windows Experience rating on an Acer Aspire M1100 from a 3.0 to 4.9. Quiet fan, easy installation. Backwards-compatible with PCI-Express 1.0 boards. Good way to breathe new life into an old PC, and get some casual gaming in. Cons: No mention on specifications page about minimum power supply requirement. Manual states a requirement of a minimum 350W supply. Almost returned it until I found some forum posts about the card working well in 250W power supplies if you have enough +12V amps to handle it. Install with caution if you don't have a 350W+ power supply. Drivers out of the box were a bit buggy, needed to download from NVidia website. Get the most recent version before installing. Other Thoughts: Newegg should really update their page to reflect the manufacturer recommended power supply requirements. I specifically got this card because no requirements were listed, and was considering a return. Please update before someone returns one due to misleading specs. Did you find this review helpful? Cons: Had to fix myself as it was not worth the money to ship it back.. Other Thoughts: To update my review..I fixed the card myself..Found it had some cold solder joints...Went through the whole board and resoldered every place that looked like it could be bad. Even found one place where there was so little solder that the wire/pin was not even making contact. Very poor quality control..Wish I could send MSI a bill for repair service.. Bought this card for my 90 year old mother to watch Netflix but most of the time the colors are washed out.Red is pink,green is off green/blue. Motherboard on board Video is 100 times better.. Loud fan with no ability to control speed. There is no need for it to run this fast. Tried afterburn and speedfan but could not lower the speed. WEI is lower than I thought. 4.8? Spoon 3/9/2012 8:59:33 AM Tech Level: 5/5 Ownership: 2/5 Verified Owner	Rating: 3/5Good HTPC card w/ limitations Pros: Low profile, and low power consumption card with enough processing power to handle all of my HTPC needs. Cons: This card has a 64-bit memory bus. Why? Most other GT430's use a 128-bit bus. It doesn't really affect HTPC use, but it dramatically limits the card for gaming. The fan is noisy, and is always at full speed. It produces too much heat to be fanless and low profile. Other Thoughts: I replaced the cooler with a spare heatsink that I modified to fit my low profile case. After some load testing, I added a quiet 70mm fan.
