3 out of 5 eggsArtifacting already.

Pros: Fast.

Cons: Expensive, broke already, loud.

Other Thoughts: Bought 2 of these when they released, about 2 months ago. One of them is already artifacting heavily in games.

1 out of 5 eggsCame used

Pros: Its a great card and its nice design.

Cons: It came used. It had finger prints on it and little scratches on the plastic. Tried 4 drivers and same everytime. It artifacts and fps locks up for like 3 seconds. Preforms worst than my GTS 450. Also the fact that It came used makes me never trust Msi again.

Other Thoughts: HORRIBLE

5 out of 5 eggsNot quite a 7970, but this thing is no slouch

Pros: *lots of RAM.
*FAST, this thing will play just about every game that's out there at full spec

Cons: *gets hot, fan on auto doesn't seem to kick in at the right times.
*fan is pretty loud at high RPM

Other Thoughts: In my old desktop build, I had an ATI Radeon X1900XTX. The fan on that, when at full RPM, sounded like a loud hair dryer. I can confirm that this is quieter than that.

I did not use the MSI supplied driver for this card opting to use the AMD stock reference driver instead. So far I haven't had any issues with the card.

5 out of 5 eggsRadeon 7950

Pros: This thing is fast. I wanted a 7970, but everyone was sold out. When they get cheaper I may crossfire, but right now there is no need. Every game runs flawlessly. In some instances WoW ran at 200+ FPS. Crysis runs at 50-60 with full AA and highest graphics. 100+fps with SWTOR. I came from 6850 crossfire cards and I am so glad I did. Microstuttering was a big problem on those cards.

Cons: obviously expensive. but you get what you pay for. Its not as cheap as the 6950, but easily out performs it and also outperforms gtx 580.
a bit loud with high fan speeds, but a water cooler could fix that in the future. If you play with head phones or decent speakers you will not hear it

5 out of 5 eggsThis Card rocks

Pros: Easy to install, Fit's in my Rosewill ARMOR mid tower case no problem,
Plays BF3 ultra 50-60 fps on stock settings. I run it on auto settings and it's 70 fps avg.

Cons: This card can run hot, I was up too 68°c on fan auto settings in MSI afterburner while running Unigine Heaven DX11 bench mark test (scored 1500,s) the fan is audible above 45%
I'm thinking maybe getting a GPU cooler fans

Other Thoughts: AMD Phenom II X4 980 Black Edition Deneb 3.7GHz (clocked to 4.1GHz) processor

5 out of 5 eggsExtremely Happy

Pros: Smashes on GTX580 in all aspects except PhysX. $50-$75 cheaper too. Terrain & textures rendering is flawless in BF3. Idle & basic desktop power consumption is around 3w. TDP is around 190-200w. The power savings alone will pay for this card..

I tossed my 6870CF for this. Couldn't be happier!

BF3 - Ultra 19x1080 - 4xMSAA = 45-60 FPS
BF3 - Ultra 19x1080 - 2xMSAA = 65-80 FPS

Cons: Be careful which brand you choose. MSI & XFX use their own PCB, not the stock one provided by AMD. This allows them to use higher quality components (such as capacitors w/ aluminum core = no explosion when overclocking).

I'm not a huge fan of blower style fans, but if you plan to crossfire them, it makes sense to have the components that produce the most heat in your case extracting that heat outside.

Other Thoughts: -CM Trooper Case
-ASUS P8Z68-V
-Core i5 2500K w/ CM V6-GT (O.C. @ 4.8GHz)
-MSI HD7950
-(2) 74GB W.D. Velociraptors 10K RPM (RAID0)
-(1) 320GB Seagate Barracuda 7.2K RPM (Media)
-Antec High Current Gamer 750W PSU (12v @ 40A x4)

-CM Storm 5.1 Headset

4 out of 5 eggsNice card.

Pros: The new AMD cards take less power, produce less heat, and have lots of headroom for overclocking. This card at stock settings outperforms the gtx580 lightning extreme i just removed. it is also smaller and lighter than the gtx580 card i just removed.

Cons: Price but to be expected with such a new release.
Fan is a bit on the loud side once it gets past about 45%

Other Thoughts: I am not to worried about the fan noise as i will be water cooling it eventually. once the price drops a bit i will pick up another for crossfire!
