5 out of 5 eggsIt works fine!

Pros: I used it to play league of legends at high setting and it works fine. Very quiet and I would recommend. I've been using this for 2 months and no lag what so ever. Also I got their rebate card after 2 months if anybody was wondering.

Cons: none!

3 out of 5 eggsScreen Flickers

Pros: Does not need all the extra power
Looks cool

Cons: Screen Flickers! Uninstalled and re-installed drivers a bunch of times. Followed AMD's instructions to a tee. Tried everything. Searched for days. No matter what I do, I get screen flickers.

Other Thoughts: I was using my on board 3300 series and bought this to upgrade my computer. With the drivers installed the video does improve with higher performance. But the screen flickers. I am better off with the mobo GPU.

2 out of 5 eggsJerky

Pros: Inexpensive

Cons: I had to adjust it to fill the screen at 1920x1080 (a common resolution nowadays). My Mahjong game tiles had a blue tint on the borders. The real killer was Angry Birds was jerky. Also, the Furmark doughnut moved in a jerky fashion during the test.

Other Thoughts: Tech support responded quickly to the problem of not filling the screen.

I'm going to send this back and hope the next one works better.

2 out of 5 eggsPoor HTPC video card

Pros: Quiet

Cons: Issues with HDMI handshake.
Slower than old HD4850 card.

Other Thoughts: Picked this up to "upgrade' the video in my homebuilt HTPC, which is running a Phenom 9600 chip on an Asus board. HDMI runs to an Onkyo AV receiver, then outputs to a powered 1x2 HDMI switcher, and is finally routed to a Panasonic 50" plasma and an InFocus X10 projector.

System had been running fine with a Sapphire HD4850 video card, which gave me Win 7 experience index results in both video categories of 7.1. Figured the price was right to get this MSI card to take advantage of the benefits that a current generation chipset and drivers would offer.

Installation of the card was a breeze, but as the current drivers were installed, using the projector, the screen began flashing and corrupted by lines across the screen, then finally lost connection. Had to bypass the receiver and connect the HDMI cable directly to the card to get a signal, but now there's no audio. Same results using the plasma screen. Apparently there a serious HDMI handshake issue with the card and the Onkyo receiver. Then to top it off, while connected directly to the card to get a picture to work with, I noticed the transitions on Windows Media Center were choppy and re-ran the experience index. Videos dropped from 7.1 to 6.7. How is that possible on a current generation card, albeit a budget card, compared to an older budget card?

Hope others that buy this card (today's Shell Shocker) for use in a HTPC have better results. Needless to say, I'll be sending in a return request on this.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

Sorry for the issues you are having with this product.

For your information, Radeon 6670 performs at about the same level as 4850, see below comparison from Passmark.
The advantage with 6670 is that it uses lower amount of power so it is more power efficient than 4850.

6670 (1045 points) vs 4850 (1044 points)

4 out of 5 eggsworks great

Pros: Works perfectly. It doesn't look bad.

Cons: Doesn't fit quite right. I had to mess with the mounting to make it fit. Front facade is too big and I have to be careful when I remove the front panel of my case(arc midi r2).

Other Thoughts: Solid 4 star for me because I don't mind tinkering.

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent overall

Pros: Quiet, simple set-up, good game performance.

Cons: Screen flashes when exiting or moving from Flash videos. Unsure how to solve, as I've disabled the overclocking tools.

Other Thoughts: Would be a perfect card if I could fix the flashing. Not the only one with this problem, either.

5 out of 5 eggsNicer than expected

Pros: Easy setup and installation. If you're expecting to get the best quality to play the latest and greatest games, this might do it. To my suprise, the Hardware and Devices properties of this card gave a 2.8GB of RAM shown for this. I was very surprised. It will play Crysis 2 with ease and WoW on High for the settings. Better than expected graphics and fluid detail.

Cons: I really did not want to take an egg off for OC issue. Not much a extreme graphic detail oriented gamer. The Over-clocking properties will only let you controll upto 85% of the full potential with the supplied program. If you want anymore than that, you'll have to find another way. Otherwise, no other cons.

Other Thoughts: I would highly recommend this card for someone wanting a fairly inexpensive unit with excellent results

4 out of 5 eggscool!

Pros: -Managed to snag this during a sale and with manufacturer rebate only cost me $24.99!
-For that price this thing runs like a champ!
-Doesn't need external power, just runs on PCI slot.

Cons: -pretty big, almost cuts off my second PCI slot.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card for the Price

Pros: Very pleased with this card, replaced a Ge Force 9600GT card that the fan had went out.
This went in to a 2 1/2 year build system, money is tight and for 74.00 can't complain about the price because I can't do a full build yet.
This is not a high end gaming computer so card works well.

Cons: None
