1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: when it works... it works well

Cons: junk... 1st one lasted 15 days... second one lasted 3 months... not going to try another... for this kind of cash you would think they would have a little better qc department or better slaves in the manufacturing dept. perhaps the suicide nets had a hole in them and they were short handed for a while buy anything but this product

4 out of 5 eggsRunning great, slightly hotter then I would like

Pros: The card came in the same time the rest of the things did, games came with it no problem, was able to redeem the games easily too. Card installed easy, is quiet and runs relatively cool.
On full load the card gets to around 78c on stock clock. Idle, the card gets around 48c running two monitors.

Cons: Little bit hotter than I was expecting, but still good temps.

Other Thoughts: Would recommend to friends.

4 out of 5 eggsMSI 7950 Twin Frozr III

Pros: Fast card, excellent graphics performance.

Cons: Thermal interface compound GROSSLY misapplied resulting in high temperatures even at max fan speed, which is very noisy.

Other Thoughts: When you order this card, also order a tube of MX-4, or any other decent thermal compound. Clean off MSI heaping pile (describing this as a 'heaping pile' is putting it nicely) and properly apply new compound. Takes but a few minutes.

10-12C lower temperature, much reduced fan speed and noise. Rather disappointed MSI can't do it correctly.

4 out of 5 eggsAwesome Card / Worthless Rebate

Pros: I'm using 4 of these cards for Litecoin mining and getting 620Kh/s each. For those who don't know anything about that, just know that they run 24/7, 100% GPU, overclocked (1030 core/1400 mem) and they sit at 80c constantly. rock solid! Cooler is really good, exhausts air front and back. After removing load from them, the temps go to 30c within 30 sec. As usual, Newegg shipped quickly, everything was just as I ordered and the cheapest price on the net.

Cons: Supossedly a $10 rebate on these cards. If you buy one, (There is no better 7950 right now) don't bother with the rebate. Basically, they want to give you an American Express gift card worth $10 and they'll get it to you in 8-10 weeks. If you want it faster than that, then they'll give you a $9.00 American Express gift card within 5-7 days. So basically pointless, as I bought 4 of these cards and just wanted $40 rebate, not 4 AMEX gift cards where I wouldn't be able to buy anything of value without adding credit to them and be roped in my AMEX. No thanks MSI! -1 egg for wasting my time with that garbage. If I wanted an AMEX card, I'd go to their website.

Other Thoughts: Killer card, If you are building a mining rig, there is no better efficient card out there watt per Kh.s! I would of given it 5 eggs if it wasn't for the idiotic pseudo-rebate.

4 out of 5 eggsSo far so good

Pros: Fast, runs almost everything at max settings without suffering from poor frame rates.

Cons: Big and bulky like a lot of cards of this caliber. I realize these cards needs a beefy cooler but I wish they would've made it a tad bit shorter. It BARELY fit in my Rosewill Challenger mid-tower case. In order to make it fit you must perform a decent wire tuck.

Other Thoughts: This may sound silly, but the last card I purchased was an MSI R6850 from a local retailer and after a few months it started having the vRAM crash issue. I RMA'd it twice and they finally sent me a 6870 that eventually had similar crashing issues. I got fed up and finally bought a new card from the same retailer again - another MSI. Hopefully I have better luck with this card because it's twice the price of my old one.

5 out of 5 eggsScalded DOG!

Pros: Okay, flat out this thing runs like a Scalded Dog. (I'm from Mississippi, lol) But it runs every game that I can throw at it. Performs the same on a FX 6100 as it does on an i5 2500k, so don't worry about your cpu holding it back if you have anything modern.

Cons: in crossfire they can get a bit hot, unless you have a slot to separate the two.

Other Thoughts: Buy it, seriously it is great!

3 out of 5 eggsUpdate on my past reviews

Pros: Runs pretty much anything, I have two in crossfire.

I bought two cards (lets call them A and B). card A was DOA, got an RMA and received card C, everything was great. Just today, card B has died, the fans don't run on it, and it doesn't respond, and I'm getting lots of artifacts everywhere. There doesn't appear to be any damage of any kind on the bad card, it just stopped one day while playing League of Legends (not even graphically intense).

This time I am having trouble with RMAing, as MSI's customer service portion of their website is down. I'm not sure if this is intentional, but I will find a phone number or email somewhere.

Basically, I would avoid these cards in the future, just because I've had to replace both of my original two cards now, and these don't come cheap. At around $620 for two cards, I really expect these to work well, especially seeing as there are cheaper options to these cards.

Also, everything you hear about coil whine, and loud fans is true so be prepared for that (they also do not run that cold for whatever reason). The cards are pretty powerful though, so it's fair.

I've also had a 465GTX Twin Frozr, I had good experiences with it, although it was also hot, and one of the fins on a fan touched the metal somewhere or the heatsink and took off. I never RMAd that one; I still have it sitting in it's box.

Cons: It cost me a lot of money, two cards have broken, MSI's customer service website isn't running, they don't really run that cold, and having problems with high end equipment is very dissatisfying.

Other Thoughts: Final summation: I am annoyed that I have had to RMA these cards, and I hope I don't have to pay for shipping. It's also very frustrating that MSI's customer service portion of their website is down. Avoid these cards, they don't seem to have good quality control, if they did I wouldn't be having so many problems!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Out of Box

Pros: Used in a mining rig. cgminer, 78 C, 660 kh/s scrypt mining (ltc). Running for a week straight out of box. Kills our Sapphire.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: If you are mining, this card is a beast

5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: Great overclocking, and runs cool. I can't really complain, running 1100/1500 stock volts, during benching it barely gets to 70c. I've not changed thermal compound or edited fan profile. It just works out of box great.

Cons: As of it none besides low gpu usage in some games, not sure if drivers or not. Assume oc'd 4.2 i5 3570k is fast enough to run it max usage lol. So far tho nothing really to complain about.

Other Thoughts: I want another for xfire, bout all that comes to mind.
