Step up to the MSI N670 PE 2GD5/OC VGA card for a new level of gaming experience with amazing visual brilliance and environmental interaction in the blockbuster titles. Based on the graphics-optimized 28nm Kepler architecture, the GeForce GTX 670 packs powerful SMX shaders and abundant amount of memory, which deliver reality-redefining performance to render a smooth, true-to-life imagery in the FPS, RTS, MMORPG and RACING games. The GPU Boost technology extracts more performance by dynamically increasing the clock speed when it's needed most.

More powerful than reference board, this new GTX 670 Power Edition is based on the MSI Power Edition architecture which incorporates Triple Overvoltage, a strengthened PWM enabling an impressive 22.5% boost in overclocking potential compared to the standard design. The new Twin Frozr IV Thermal Design keeps the card cool and MSI's exclusive Dust Removal technology ensures that the cooling module remains free of dust for optimal cooling performance. In addition, Propeller Blade technology offers 20% more air flow than conventional fans, effectively reducing temperatures by up to 20°C and noise levels by 11.7dB. The MSI GTX 670 Power Edition uses Military Class III components that give overclockers a level of quality and stability they can count on. The power, cooling, and other components of the MSI GTX 670 Power Edition incorporate more functions and technologies than the reference board, making it the choice of those looking for superior overclocking performance.

  • newegg MSI Power Edition Architecture Boosts Overclocking Potential by 22.5% The MSI GTX 670 Power Edition graphics card is based on the MSI Power Edition architecture: Afterburner's Triple Overvoltage allows the GPU, Memory and PLL(Aux) voltages to be adjusted. The Enhanced PWM design provides 25% more current than the reference design to ensure high stability during overclocking.
  • newegg Twin Frozr IV: 20°C Cooler and 11.7dB Quieter than Reference Board The MSI GTX 670 Power Edition is equipped with MSI's latest Twin Frozr IV Thermal Design. MSI's exclusive Dust Removal technology automatically reverses the fans at startup to prevent dust build-up and optimize the cooling module's ability to dissipate heat. Exclusive Propeller Blade technology provides 20% more air flow over conventional fans and increases the effective cooling area. When combined with dual 8 cm temperature-controlled fans, SuperPipe technology, and a nickel-plated copper base, temperatures are effectively reduced by up to 20°C and noise by 11.7dB!
  • newegg Military Class III Components Guarantees High Quality and Stability MSI Military Class III components have been independently tested to meet many of the strict requirements specified by the MIL-STD-810G standard in order to guarantee high quality and stability. Military Class III components used on the MSI GTX 670 Power Edition include Tantalum Core Hi-c CAP, 30% more powerful SFC, and Solid CAP with up to 10 years of service life. This choice of materials reflects MSI's firm commitment to delivering trustworthy and dependable products to its customers.
  • newegg NVIDIA GPU Boost Up until now, GPUs have operated at a fixed clock speed when playing 3D games, even if they have the potential to run faster. GPU Boost intelligently monitors graphics work load and increases the clock speed whenever possible. The result is that the GPU always performs at its peak and you get the highest framerate possible.
  • newegg NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing, at low frame rates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.
  • newegg NVIDIA Surround with Up To Four Monitors Nothing is as breathtaking as playing your favorite games across three monitors. At 5760 x 1080, the expanded field of view fully engages human peripheral vision and provides for the most immersive experience in racing and flight simulators. Add in a fourth display to keep tabs on chat, email or web while you are gaming.

1 out of 5 eggsGood performance but beware

Pros: Will run everything on Ultra settings and I have not seen the temp go above 75c.

Cons: Causes complete computer shut off and restart in certain games.

Other Thoughts: For the first month and a half, this card performed flawlessly. Shortly after that my computer started crashing. Out of nowhere my computer would instantly shut off and restart a few seconds later. There was no warning for this. This happened in Borderlands 2, DOTA 2, and the new SimCity. All drivers and bios up to date. I'm currently on my 3rd MSI GTX 670 PE (MSI replaced the first 2). However my hardest running game, Battlefield 3, has no issues and it runs the card the hottest. Card never overheat according to Afterburner temp. I had to use my old MSI 6870 TF2 while MSI did the RMA and all games ran fine.

Could of just been bad luck or issues with the card and these games. I even tried underclocking, still no luck.

I'm still having this problem even on my 3rd card.

I have top of the line hardware and a more than sufficient PSU (750w 80+ silver).

While it's performance is great, I can't play some of my games with it, leaving me to rate it 1 egg :(.

I'm a fan of MSI hardware if it matters.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card, quiet, and

Pros: Simply amazing performance, plays literally everything I have given it at 1080 at max settings including Bioshock Infinite, Metro 2033, Metro Last Light, Borderlands 2, Battlefield 3, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. CoP, and more.
Card stays incredibly cool in my HAF 932, never went above 60 degrees on any of these games. While it might be one of the louder things in my case, I really can only hear it while it is under load with my headphones off, and even then it's not that bad.
Core clock boost speeds lie.....I've hit 1200+ before thanks to afterburner, which is easy to use and works great.

Cons: Kinda sags a bit but no big deal.

Other Thoughts: I don't know if this is a card issue or not, but a few times in the first ~2 weeks after owning it after a few hours of the same game running, the screen would go black and the game would basically crash. Hasn't happened recently, and only happened like 3 times, but a notable issue. I also play World of Tanks, and a few times during playing it would freeze for 1-4 seconds, and twice stayed frozen until I switched window then back in. Again assuming this is a card issue, but not positive.

5 out of 5 eggsBetter than expected

Pros: Well it got here and I couldn't wait to unpack it and install it. Easy installation, for me anyway. Had it up and running in under 5 minutes. Went over to nVidia's website and got the newest drivers, which were beta [insert f@rt sound]. Software is very simple to use. Maybe not as troglodyte friendly as the UI on EVGA PrecisionX, but created more for the advanced user. Which I love. Very "tweekable", as my friend said. Fan curves can be customized, which is a plus. And I don't know why people are saying this thing is loud. Until the fans hit about 58-60 percent, I can barely hear them. Maybe they need better ventilation in their towers or something. Runs cool with the new TwinFROZR IV cooler. Decided after some research to go with the kepler design instead of a reference card. Glad I did. Nice overclock out of the box. Never gets over 60C no matter what I throw at it at stock speeds. Did some intense benchmarking and tweeking before I posted this review to get as much information as I could to share. See other thoughts for more info on that. I also don't get when other posters are saying it sags in their cases. If you watch the unboxing video for this thing's little brother on newegg tv, the MSI GTX660 Ti PE OC (basically the same thing except for the 256bit vs. 192bit), Paul clearly shows you that they put a bracket connected to the pci slot spanning about 90 percent of the card to help with rigidity. Doesn't sag in my tower at all. Didn't notice the little blue LEDs on each fan which go well with all of my other case interior LEDs. Don't ask me why, but I love side mounted PCIe power connectors. Rear mounted just seem to get in the way. Being that I have a side mounted HDD rack, I wouldn't have run into problems with this anyway. Others might with smaller towers though. It is a short card, compared to other older high end cards (under 11 inches). I still have about 4 inches of clearance in my TT full tower. Very nice...so far

Cons: DRIVERS!!! Is nVidia ever going to just make the perfect driver? Well we don't live in a perfect world, so no...But using the 320.00 beta driver that was just released, I have had very little problems running newer titles on it. A few BSODs and one very strange "hang" that caused me to have to hit the reset switch. I hope in the near future they will have all the bugs worked out. Remember people, every time a new product hits the market it takes companies a while to get all the drivers working with everything out there. Probably by the time the new 700 series comes out they will have worked out all the kinks in the 600 series. And manufacturers...quit sending out these horrible driver disks. They are always outdated or even beta drivers. I realize they are for people that pre-order the card, or people without internet service, but they're a waste of plastic. Save the planet...and all that junk...ya know?

Other Thoughts: Upgraded from a GTX560 Ti. Very big improvement after all the testing that I have done with it so far. Going from 384 cuda cores to 1344 makes video encoding so much faster. Using DVDFab and DVD Catalyst, I went from encoding at 96-200 FPS to 120-400 FPS. Very nice. Gets a WEI score of 7.9 (Not that anyone cares). I never really use WEI as a valid testing program. I'll tell you one thing, running this on higher end games is just great. 2-3 times better performance than my GTX560 Ti. And 5 nickel plated copper heatpipes with two 80mm fans on a huge HS is almost overkill. Anyway...on to my testing. I tried to test this card on some of the most demanding titles I have, and are normally used as good benchmark programs without getting too technical. I apologize that my tv only runs as high as 60Hz, so you will see better results if you have a better monitor/tv. These marks were as follows: BF3 - 1920x1080 all maxed settings 60-62 FPS. TombRaider 2013 - 1920x1080 ultra everything maxed minFPS 40 max FPS 62. Metro 2033 - 1920x1080 with some tweeking running DX11 and limited PhysX average 52 FPS. DirT 3 - 1920x1080 everything maxed 60 FPS...no problem. So yeah, with this card so far there is nothing you won't be able to run at high or even maxed settings. I also tested it on these titles, just to play them maxed, and encountered no problems. Crysis 2, Crysis 3, Skyrim, Dead Island Riptide, MOH Warfighter, COD Black Ops 2, and tons of other titles. Plays well, keeps cool, looks killer. Nuff said? Here is my system stats for reference.

AMD Phenom IIx4 960t BE - 6 cores OCed to 3.7Ghz
Gigabyte GA-990XA-UD3 AM3+ MB
16 GB Corsair Vengence DDR3 1600 slightly OCed
MSI GTX670 PE OC
120 GB Corsair Force GT SSD
2x 300 GB WD Velociraptor 10,000 RPM HDD
320 WD Intellipower HDD
Raidmax 700 watt continuous modular hybrid PS
TT Water 2.0 Performer liquid cooler
TT Chaser MK-I full tower

Can't wait to see what I get out of this system when I get my FX-6300 Vishera and new 1000 watt PS. She'll really fly.

5 out of 5 eggsUpgraded from MSI GTX560ti Hawk... WOW.

Pros: Dear Santa riding a dinosaur this card is a beast. Running BF3 on my rig, and I can't recall the fan speeds peaking over 50% on CQ map, with 4-5 guys around me. I thought my i5-2500k OC'd to 4.3GHz would bottleneck this card, but no way. Great too because coming from the 560ti Hawk I didn't have to upgrade my PSU due to the 600 series being less power hungry.

Oh and the new Twin Frozr is stellar. Completely air cooled rig with an ambient temp of about 75 degrees and this card never overheats.

Cons: Card is long, kind of sags in the rig. Not enough of a con to knock an egg down. the pros WAY outweigh this. Bravo, MSI.

Other Thoughts: Not really related to the card, but don't be a noob like me and learn the hard way... DISABLE AFTERBURNER WHEN INSTALLING NEW DRIVERS! A quick glance at a great thread on OCN taught me this because my drivers were constantly crashing... this was why.

5 out of 5 eggsBest GTX 670 2GB

Pros: Good factory overclock when compared to the other boards. Good Cooling solution; both head dissipation and noise level. Best price point for factory overclocked GTX 670 2GB cards.

Cons: Metal cover in black with blue highlight not to my liking. They should of used a silverish metallic color instead with no highlight.

Other Thoughts: Outstanding card for the money. Purchased with the intent of running a high refresh rate 120Hz/144Hz panel in 1920x1080 with everything turned on. Will move to WQHD 2560 x 1440 later this year when I can get a decent factory supported WQHD panel that can support at least a 120Hz refresh rate for $600-$700; hopefully ASUS comes through with something this year. The card will be able to get me by when such a panel comes out but I'll bump up to a GTX 700 series when that happens. Hopefully all this will be out in time for Christmas :)

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great GPU! Runs every game I throw at it, but my focus was primarily with Premiere Pro CS6, which it absolutely excels at. Not one issue when using the CUDA hack, and it really does make a difference when editing full HD video.

Cons: Sags the tiniest bit and the fans would rattle the metal plate every so often, but it has since stopped.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: Very fast, can run pretty much everything out there, very good cooling solution.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: This card is amazing. At 1920x1080 I can max out just about every game in existance and get at least 60fps. The only game that it can't quite max is Crysis 3, in which, at least for me, Antialiasing had to be set at 4x rather than 8x.

5 out of 5 eggsI love this card!

Pros: This card handles every game I throw at it without a hitch. Under 100% load for a few hours the card remained cool and quiet. It doesn't suck down as much power as I though it would and I'm simply amazed at how quiet this card is. MSI has done a great job with the Twin Frozr cooler design!

Cons: Honestly, none!

Other Thoughts: I highly recommend this card and MSI products in general. Getting 2 free games was a nice bonus as well!
