5 out of 5 eggsWorks great

Pros: Easy install. Works great. Nice price.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Installed on ASUS M4A78T-E motherboard. (it is a PCIe 2.0 port) I run Mint 13 and Win 7. No problems with either OS installing. I disabled the Motherboard's 3300 video. Fixed my kids Internet game studdering in Mint. Should work well for when I upgrade to a new motherboard and processor.

1 out of 5 eggsRebate is a scam

Pros: Great card and works flawlessly. Used in many applications and it works as I hoped it would.

Cons: Rebate is a scam, followed instructions to a "T" and the claim was denied. I should have expected this but tried anyway.

Other Thoughts: The card is great but the rebate was a total disappointment. I like the card but will never bother with a rebate again. A lot of time for just $25 and the claim was denied anyways. A big waste of time for sure. I give the card 4 stars but the rebate a minus 10 if I could!

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We apologize for the issues that you are having with the rebate process.
You needed to follow instructions by providing a valid invoice (not packing slip) with UPC code, and the rebate document.
If you were denied, the rebate center would allow you to resubmit again.

If you still have any issues with the rebate center, then please contact us directly at usreview@msi.com and we will see what we can do for you.

Thank you.

Best Regards,

2 out of 5 eggsback of pcb is dirty

Pros: got it for 100 on shell shocker
came with far cry 3
ghz edition helps alot

Cons: this is the second time the pcb is dirty, it looks like the factory workers hands were sweaty when touching the pcb and left it looking all dirty
for just 30 dollars more i got the 7850 with x2 the performance for gaming

Other Thoughts: 7850 will feed my gaming needs until i upgrade to the gtx 800 series maxwell which is the true upgrade from 600 series not like the gtx780 refresh. the 800 will run on the 20nm which is sure to play gta 5 and watch dogs on extreme setting with butter. rome 2 should benefit after high res mods ill plan on getting the gtx 880

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We apologize for the issues that you are having with this product.
The "dirty" spot that you saw on the card is normal caused from manufacturing. It's residue from the flux solution used to clean up the circuit board in the factory.

3 out of 5 eggsNo Crossfire = Boo

Pros: Probably a decent enough card, I wouldn't know because I accidentally purchased mine as a crossfire addition to my HIS card and didn't notice that it's the one 7770 card that doesn't support Crossfire.

Cons: As I stated, no crossfire. Spend the extra $5-10 and get something that might allow you to upgrade your system a bit in the future.

Other Thoughts: Was it my fault for missing out on that detail? Yes. I'm just trying to help others from making the same mistake. If you just need 1 graphic card in your system and you're on a budget... it will get the job done.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

Here's a chart for your future reference provided by AMD in regards to Crossfire and Dual Graphics.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing.

Pros: This little card has exceeded my expectations. I threw this bad boy in my brother's old machine and after installing the latest drivers and everything come to find out this card packs a punch and can handle brand new games on ultra. (Guild Wars 2, Bioshock Infinite, etc.) Keep in mind he is running an old Intel Core 2 duo so this card is very powerful.

Cons: no cons. its a lot quieter than what I'm used too. my brother's old car sounded like a vacuum! although this might be too loud for most, but I'm not taking an egg off for it.

4 out of 5 eggsDarn good

Pros: Plays games, renders CAD quickly.

Cons: Loud fan

Other Thoughts: This is an excellent video card for the Black Friday money. Handles everything I throw at it just fine. Fan gets pretty loud when its working hard though.

5 out of 5 eggsBig Improvement, good price

Pros: Card worked without problem and was significantly faster than my 7950GT which it replaced. Asking 120 for it is probably a bit steep but I got it in November for nearly half that price with the mail in rebate. At 70 dollars there is nothing that can beat it.

Cons: Didn't come with a DVI to VGA adapter.

Other Thoughts: Mail in rebate was handled without problem, not that I liked waiting for a couple months. I guess that is the nature of the beast.

2 out of 5 eggsMSI gift coupon never happened

Pros: works well now runs cool, amd support was not too helpfull

2 eggs for making a card that works

Cons: amd support not too helpfulabout card issues, amd support a bit confusing, about the games, got 1 so far the other Im suppose to hear about today, or something...
The MSI promo of the 3d mark, never happened,

in general the experience was lacking.

Other Thoughts: just forget promotions that may or may not happen, tune up your support people, and drop the price.

If you bought this card and your monitor does not get recognized correctly, make sure you have latest drivers, and use A full DVI cable from card to monitor if you can, thats the only way I got it to work correctly, VGA cable and adapters (2 different new cable, 4 different connecters, 2 of them new) did not work on one of my monitors, the other was a HDMI connection and it worked fine. Support told me to buy a new monitor, lol, wow really? Hmm the 5750 this replaced worked right out of the box, still does, with any cable or monitor I throw at it.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We apologize for the issues that you are having with this product.

5 out of 5 eggsnice entry level card

Pros: Small card, runs cool and quiet under normal conditions. Performance is as expected at stock speeds and better with modest overclock. Most games are very playable at high quality settings.

Cons: Fan starts to be noticeable around 50% and loud around 70%. Happily it doesn't usually get that high under normal gaming conditions. It's really only synthetic benchmarks that push it to those levels.

I despise rebates but I did send this one in, gritting my teeth the whole time. This card is only a good value if the rebate comes through.

Other Thoughts: I bought this card for my computer at work for Friday afternoon Starcraft 2 melees. This card plays the game nicely at High settings. It gets a little laggy at Ultra settings.

Mine OCs to 1100/1250, about 10%. I used the Sapphire Trixx utility to bump core voltage from 1200 to 1250 because the manufacturer's AfterBurner adjust voltage.

The 7770 is about as low as I'd go for an entry level gaming card. For about a c-note you can play most games at decent settings.

I also own 7870 and 7970 GHz Editions. The 7870 is very nearly twice as powerful as this 7770 and is a worthwhile step up for some games. The 7970 is close to three times the 7770, but relative to the 7870 is not a huge upgrade (and costs about twice as much).

I generally ignore rebates and don't mention them, but nearly every video card deal involves a rebate and it's 25% of the purchase price in this case. It's not a good deal if they stiff you on the rebate. As a prospective buyer, I want to know if a company has a bad reputation with rebates. Biostar and Xigmatek, for example. Yeah I went there.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat mid level card

Pros: Small and easy to install card.
Great drivers, especially with Win 8!
Plays latest games at high level settings (though not ultra high)
Runs very cool

Cons: It can get a little loud when pushed, but you can set the fan with utilities and it doesn't over heat from my experience.

Other Thoughts: I see a lot of one egg reviews here and they all seem to be similar. I think there's just one person with a chip on his shoulder reviewing it over and over with one egg and not a lot of bad experiences overall from all the rest who own it. Definitely not a bad experience from me, and I build a lot of systems. Radeon seems to work best in my experience and this card is a good example of what they do best. MSI's utilities are decent too, but get the 3rd party utilities or use AMD's utilities to make it even better.
