4 out of 5 eggsWow, discontinued right after I bought it

Pros: Great cooling, nearly silent
Powerful enough to run dota2 and CS:GO at 1080 max settings

Cons: 1gb vram is just too little for modern games and higher than HD resolutions. I bought this card for 135ish. If it had 2gb ram for 170 this card would have been PERFECT. The card will stutter when you go above HD resolutions even if you put your game on the lowest settings.

Other Thoughts: I bought this card to replace my 8800GT which died after 5 years. MSI seems to be the new video card top dog when it comes to value and cooling. For the money this card is amazing! I would have gone with a 600 series card but my old motherboard only has PCIEXPRESS 2

4 out of 5 eggsIt's nice

Pros: It is a fast card. I imagine it would be even faster if my CPU wasn't bottlenecking it. It isn't super huge, and it has several display connectors.

Cons: It is pretty loud. I put a lot of effort into keeping my rig quite, and this thing really ruins it. Seems a bit harsh to take off an egg for, but it is really annoying. I did check to see what is making the noise-both by running without the card plugged in and checking decibel change, and by putting a cone of paper over it, and it is definitely causing the excess noise.

Other Thoughts: If MSI would contact me about what fans I could purchase to replace it (preferably Scythe or Noctua) I would raise this to 5 eggs.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear ender,

Sorry for the fan noise issue that you are having with this product.
Unfortunately, the fan will rev up when the GPU is under load, and the BIOS on the card is simply doing what it's supposed to do to keep the card cool.
Additionally, you can perform water-cooling mod with this product, however we have no way knowing if it's compatible with Scythe, or Noctua therefore it's best if you check the dimension of your existing GPU mounting holes and check against the spec of watercooling products from those manufacturers directly to see if they are compatible with each other or not.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding the product, please do not hesitate to contact us directly at usreview@msi.com and we will be more than happy to assist you, thank you.

Best Regards,

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Put two in SLI and they simply work well. Rather cool too. 30 C idle.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: They are runt, in a cute way. Smaller than my old 580's and possibly very useful for internetting.
